I played almost 5 hours of the new dlc, the Bear trial to be exact.
It used monster from both my monster packs and Mist of Bilehall and Chains of Rust. It was mostly swarming with reanimated, skeleton archers, bone horrors, Dispossessed and zombies.
While we had a great time and reached round 22, and the xp gains comes at a good rate, we kinda felt like we would rather have spent the time on a campagn, with story and travel event and so on.
So FFG give us the other expansion campaigns!! Would love a chains of rust/Mist of Bilehall app version.

I can absolutely understand your reasoning. Especially compared to "The Delve" this content is very shallow (for the same price).
I still bought this content hoping that it will support further development of Road to Legend. I just hope this kind of content will not be repeated.

So I ended up buying the DLC mostly to show support for Descent and hopefully encourage FFG to release more physical content.
I also did a 'fake' run through all the modes just to get a feel for it.

For anyone who doesn't mind spoilers I'll just give a quick run down of what this is and what you get for your $5:
    *********** WARNING MEGA SPOILERS ****************

It is essentially four game modes (trial of Bear, Lion, Hawk, Wolf), each of which take place on a single fully revealed map. Each of the trials is an endless game mode which involves working towards a high score by playing until the heroes lose all their morale through KOs.
There appear to be at least 4 or 5 different possible layouts for those who have all the expansion content and they are NOT 'balanced'. There is one layout with tons of sludge or water tiles, which would be much much harder to play through than another layout which has no special terrain at all. If you are really interested in going for a highest possible high score you'll probably want to reload until you get an 'easy' layout. Then you are of course subject to the luck of the random monsters.
Some things in common between modes: There is an automatic transition to Act II after a certain number of rounds have passed or progress has been made (not sure exactly which yet). It doesn't tell you before hand. You also will get 1 XP to start, and gain an additional 1 XP every 4 rounds until around 6 XP, at which point they stop giving it to you forever.
All of the game modes have an 'Enrage' mechanic which starts to happen once they've given out all hero XP and transitioned into Act II. Every round or two it essentially gives an endlessly stacking buff to all active monster groups. It starts at Enrage 1, with +1 damage to all monsters, then moves to Enrage 2, with +1 damage and +1 shield to all monsters, and finally to Enrage III: with +2 damage and +2 shields to all monsters. It never gets any higher than Enrage III, but I doubt any team could survive for too long under those conditions.
It would be fun to try to find a totally broken team composition/loot distribution to go infinite though!
Quick rundown of the modes. Apologies for any errors.. I only had time to rush through the modes and get a sense of what they are. This should give you a good feel for them though.

My 2 cents that a new theme seems to creep out of that release. Something related with ever snowing countries, barbarian tribes, and that picture could be a new ally or lieutenant

For those who will get their copy directly from them, please ask them the following:
-Why did they decide to split MoB and CtR instead of leaving it as a Big Boxed expansion?
-Will the last Healer and Mage be realesed?
-Is the Quest Vault going to ever be released of out its Beta phase?
-Why do the new minis are monstrously huge?
-What are the new plans for RtL and its campaigns?
-Are the last D1 heroes going to be released in the traditional H&M Collection packs? If so, Could we have more Ice and fantasy-like monsters?
-Are we ever going to have a decent FAQ/Errata document?
-Will Baron Zachareth ever share his Shadow Rune with another Lieutenant?
-What will happen with the Shadow Rune campaign?
-Will there ever be a Campaign book that will integrate all (if not, some) expansions? Or at least, Could we have a lore book of Runebound Universe?

Hahahahaha so many things to ask

The Community Rules Reference Guide (CRRG) is a comprehensive resource for all Descent: Journeys in the Dark Second Edition rules. In its current form it features:
Rules from the base game and all released expansion boxes (except the print-on-demand expansions) Rules for Road to Legend including The Delve in separate text boxes Official Errata and FAQ published by FFG (oFAQ, version 1.6) and approximately 400 unoffical FAQs (uFAQs) to specific player questions integrated into the text. Visual examples for “Movement”, “Line of Sight” and “Special Situations in Combat” Tables with overviews on the content of Descent expansions An index with hyperlinks and page numbers When I started this project (in an over-enthusiastic and fairly naive way), I never imagined the time and effort it would cost. I also never imagined what I would learn on the way. And I definitely never imagined the help and the encouragement I would receive from friendly, dedicated and generally fantastic people who I would get to know. I cannot thank you guys and gals enough for this. For me personally, this project is as much about the journey and the things that I experienced on the way, as it is about the final product. And, in my opinion, this is exactly as it should be.

I'm still alive. But yeah, Descent is kinda on the back burner for me at the moment. (Also haven't visited this forum in quite a while), though I still want to support the tracker. (and I should read up on the latest other issues in this thread)
I have been looking into the login issue, but it's just very strange. I haven't updated the code of the site in quite a while, so I would assume the code itself is not the issue.
On top of that, I myself (and other people if looking at the recently updated campaigns) can log in just fine. Which makes it hard for me to pinpoint the issue if I don't experience it myself.
Sadly, I haven't had the time to delve into this issue extensively, which is why it's taking a bit longer as well.

    Sigh.  Arrrrggggghhhh. Sigh.

Today is really not my day.  Believe it or not, I actually had entered all of the Relics, but somehow, I must have fat fingered and wipe out all of the info other than a single entry of Robes Of The Last.

Once again, thank you much for pointing this out.  I have edited my post above.

The issue is that session data (a variable that keeps your data stored when you log in) can't be written, because apparently, the disk is full. But according to the backend interface I have for the hosting, it's not.
I've now contacted my hosting service, and hope it can get resolved that way.

Predator or possibly juke would be my suggestions.  If you are good at flanking and getting behind the enemy, then outmanoeuvre is good too.

Very much this. We've started playing in late November, and my 4 and 6 year old understand the possible actions (though they may not always take the optimal one) and understand the pilot abilities of the pilots they use most often. They very rarely land on, or clip, asteroids now.

We're still trying to find the balance where they have a fair shot at winning. In the mean time, the oldest is learning that you can still have fun when losing, this is very much not something that came naturally to him, which makes him shy away from any chance of failure. X-wing is so interesting to him that he's willing to step up and try again, knowing he'll likely fail, I'm very happy about that!

I still very much play to win, they'd know if I was going easy on them, they don't notice it as much if the point differential is the reason they're ahead though.

399 too... just saying.  It's a milestone for us cherries.

Now I feel like I have to ruminate on my next post, so I guess I better brain storm a bit.  What do y'all wanna read about?  Maybe I'll do an in-depth analysis of one of my favourite ships, using my experience and know how to help add to the knowledge base we have here.  Maybe, huh?

Just like the Royal Guard Interceptor cards that lack the extra wing fins? FFG card art isn't canon and certainly doesn't change what's on screen or in the comics.

Been working abit on the list, trying to follow your advice. I dont have any tie/fo's yet, not sure what to invest in next,

Im thinking that homing missiles should work well with the long range scanner, since i don't need to spend the TL. Vader flanks who ever attacks the bomber, and academies to block the road in front of the bomber, trying to prevent a range 1 shot on him.

I sadly had to lose the outmaneuver to afford an extra Tie. Im bit on the egde about which bomb to use, i can afford to replace the Charges with proximity mines, but action wise, charges seems the best choice atm. I could add missiles instead of the bombs, but i doubt it will live long enough to fire 4 rounds of missiles, plus the issue of getting another tl.

Your fears are correct, OP.  The bomber will die first and will likely die without accomplishing much, unfortunately.

When I first started playing, one of my favourite lists was 2 interceptors + Firespray.  I thought it was good because the interceptors could flank and the 'spray was a tank (Sorry, I have kids and they like rhymes).  Anyway, the firespray would die first every time and sometimes it would die a lot faster than I thought it should (I ran just a bounty hunter with recon specialist back then).  And the reason was simple: the 'spray was an easy target for the opponent to focus fire on.  And while it is a tough ship, nothing wants to be taking the brunt of an entire 100 pts worth of firepower (which is what I was doing to the poor 'spray).

And there's nothing you can really do about that with this type of list.  Your other ships cannot support each other.  They are arc-dodgers and want to work independently.  So you have to ask yourself what you want to run more: a jousting list or arc-dodging?  Now, its possible to run a single flanker in a jousting list, but remember, the more points you spend on the flanker, the less you have to build a solid jousting list.  If you want to go all arc-dodgers, that can work too, but then you have to lose the bomber.

The same thing happens with the Palp + 2 ace build, but some players get more success with that list for one of two reasons: either they are able to use the palp bonus to kill enough enemy ships that the aces can breeze through the remainder of the list once the shuttle goes; OR, the opponent tries to kill one of the aces and fails; thus putting themselves in a bad position that they just can't recover from.
