    Scarif Theme

It’s been awhile since I’ve painted minis but I wanted to go with a Scarif theme since I love shoretroopers. Here’s the start with my AT-ST.
  2. Absolutely LOVE this idea.
  3. I want to do this just to have Shriv from Battlefront 2 as my leader! Nice work!
  4. Sequels. Love the First Order. Battlefront 2 showed me how I have no interested playing droids.
  5. "That Han Solo sculpt looks like he had an allergic reaction to shellfish."
  6. While Krennic could be released at the same time as Scouts, wouldn't make much sense. We never saw him directly with them, especially when the Deathtroopers were his personal troops. FFG so far has kept the additional releases with some sort of theme (Veers & snowies, Leia & fleet, Endor Han and & commandos). Blaise makes the most sense for a scout team, albeit slightly boring for a commander. It all depends on how mirrored they want to release the sets. If Rebels get snipers, do the Imperials have to get them or can they get a different utility with their special forces? I'd personally like to see some difference between the factions so they feel like two different armies. This is going to be the hard part of filling out armies for FFG. Imperials have great units, lack of solid commanders. Rebels have great commanders but a serious lack of units.
  7. I was thinking him too but what a let down compared to Rebels. You got Luke/Leia/Han and then Vader/Veers and some random dude made up for Imperial Assault? Very anticlimatic. My money would be on Emperor/Royal Guards or Krennic/Deathtroopers.
  8. Shoretrooper all day long. One day I'd like to see an alternative core box of First Order Vs Resistance.
  9. One thing I want to try is taking a light blue and make the water refractions on the ground. Make it look like this:
  10. Maybe do a sealant over the base first and then do the water FX?
  11. I really want to do something similar to your Scarif board but I was thinking of using Water Effects by Woodland Scenics. Going to try (hopefully successfully) to base my stormtroopers with a sandy base and then water effects on top to make it look like they're walking in water. Might look goofy on other boards but whatever.
  12. Weather has made me less than excited since it's still a bit chilly to really ramp up mini painting and table building. Soon as I get some spray worthy days my excitement will be off the charts.
  13. Oh, do you have some good pics of the Scarif table? I've been thinking about making that first since I love Rogue One.
  14. Do the all white Vader from Star Wars Infinities.
  15. As nice looking as they are, I think it's a huge misstep for Legion. If it was a basic environment (snow, desert, etc) and you could put on your own terrain, awesome. This feels more like a lazy was of FFG not having to do work for their tournaments by making/bringing boards. Throw down some rubber mats, explain the terrain effects and be done with it.
  16. I'm honestly thinking it's just poor wording. I think it does read as they stack but I don't think that's the intent. I think it's supposed to say that if you equip the grenade ALL minis in the unit can use the grenade but it's not supposed to be all at the same time. FFG will correct this at some point. Otherwise you get the meta play of units just all lobbing grenades over and over, which distracts from a fun minis game to roll better results. They should've added deviation to it so it's at least somewhat accurate (plus another template to sell!).
  17. Awesome! I'm going in two months so I'll keep an eye out for them. I'm actually hoping they have a decent sized Starspeeder I can use for Legion. All I'll need is a custom objective card that says "Star Tours!? What are you doing here?"
  18. I figured as much. There's just some really great third party sci-fi bases but they're all 25mm.
  19. Would they become illegal in a tournament if you rebased them on a 25mm base?
  20. I can't believe there's been FOUR pages about adding Ewoks to the game...
  21. The logistics of it all will be a nightmare for FFG. Those tournaments at GenCon aren't only a way to do large scale events but it's also really good advertising for the game. I've watched and bought into games at GenCon based on watching the tournament boards there for mini games. If you do two days of prelims at 200 players a day, that's still 100 6x3 tables they would need and if you figure 4 simple pieces of terrain (at bare minimum) is 400 individual pieces of terrain. That's if you're talking simple trees or hills. If you do something more complicated the time and investment increases a lot.
