  1. I think this trailer was weaker than the older ones, didn't feel like it had any weight to it (things happen too easily, arms ripped off, knights cut in half) so that kinda bothers me. It did look gorgeous though.

  3. I'd play the hell out of that.
  4. Side note, a coworker at my first job had bought the Tau codex when it came out and that was my first intro to 40k other than walking by the game store and seeing velociraptors with guns (termagaunts) on the field. This probably skewed my preferences some. What I would really like to see is a new last stand mode with multiple types of hero per faction and a **** load more wargear.
  5. In the last stand mode they had a Tau and a Necron hero so I wouldn't be surprised if they show up. Sisters of Battle and Dark Eldar are probably pretty low unfortunately.
  6. I play very defensively so the whole constant battle over resource points doesn't suit me very well. I really like Tau designs, don't much care for their philosophy but I do like me some gundam. Anything imperium is also my preferred second choice and Orks probably third. I will definitely get it but how much I play it will be up in the air.
  7. I like DOW but I'm probably not gonna play until the Tau DLC comes out or they have another last stand mode.

  10. I wonder what else people will mention.
  11. It's also worth noting the while Omega Leader prevents modifications they still keep all of them for subsequent attacks that round. Tomax could force them to spend the token and still negate it.
  12. I wonder if Bran is going to leave that warren. They said he would in this past episode, but I don't know if they mean physically or mentally. Yeah, that whole bit with Shireen was just terrible in the show. I'm glad they didn't do that in the book. The whole bit about what happens in the North is just wrong on so many parts. Yeah, that would not have flown with book Stannis.
  13. I think that's a safe assumption. Both Lady Stoneheart and Berric have changed by being brought back. I'll point out its a bit funny a guy named "Jon Snow" was resurrected via a supposed god of fire. Fans will dislike any diminishing of Jon, but grrm might do it. I think he probably just lived in Ghost for awhile and avoided the downside of resurrection that way. I can't recall if they did much warging with Jon. I know the books touched on it more but I can't recall the show. Not much at all. Just dreams like Arya. I'm not suggesting Jon did any of it on purpose or even knows it happened. Hard to say then. I wouldn't put it past the show writers to just include it as convenience but it'll likely just be hand waved away afterwards. That's one thing I always preferred about the books, there's a lot more lore to the things that happen but given the mediums of the two it only makes sense.

  15. From wiki: So...I was wrong about Danny being Rhaegar's daughter. They were brother-sister. So, Tyrion would be a half-brother. Jon Snow would be her nephew. I think that's a safe assumption. Both Lady Stoneheart and Berric have changed by being brought back. I'll point out its a bit funny a guy named "Jon Snow" was resurrected via a supposed god of fire. I disagree. I don't think those characters were really changed when they came back. The only thing different was that they lacked a few memories. Well, Lady Stoneheart was crazier and wanting vengeance, but that's not really against Catlyn's character, either. And I was thinking Danny was Rheagars daughter... been awhile since it's come to mind.
  16. Rheagar was the Mad King's son. Tyrion would be Danny's uncle.
  17. I think I hear him clop, clop clopping towards here already.
  18. For awhile I was running Soontir, Carnor, and Maarek. It was nice because by the time Maarek would fire shield would be gone. I like all the named pilots but I do have a hard time fitting most of them into lists.
  19. The revenge of the Essential Guide to Vehicles and Vessels. God I hate that book. So full of errors and just plain crap. Horner interceptor, really? Y'all just mad the gunboat wasn't included.
  20. It's true you don't see a lot of advanced in play anymore but I find certain lists very strong with them. The fix was a lot more generous than people think, Vader did get a huge buff but all the named pilots have great abilities and the generics are among the best you can field for their price point now. I've done quite well with three tempest with AC and Soontir Fel as well as four Tempests with AC, Cluster and guidance chips. They are probably my most flown ship at this point.
  21. Oh, McFoy. Posts like that say so much more about you than they do about anyone who reads or contributes to this topic (as does the fact that it took you five minutes or so between your initial post and your edits to finalise a response). If you don't like the Assault Gunboat, if you don't like the discussion that takes place on this topic, then no one is forcing you to look at it. It's really as simple as that. It's YOU who chooses to click on the topic. It's YOU who chooses to read the posts. It's YOU who chooses to respond to them in the passive-aggressive way you do above. If you really dislike the topic that much, then the adult response would be to simply ignore it. To live and let live. Post about something you actually are interested in. Instead, you choose to attack the people posting here for discussing something they like. See, I'm fairly indifferent to the gunboat, I like the look but I don't see a place for it. If it was released I'd use it but I really have no desire for it. What bothers me is the black and white view you (and others) have. You treat it like you can only either love it or you hate it, that there is no in between. If I don't like it I'm merely hear to attack the gunboat and that's all. You've got it all figured out already so any points I might make about why I think you're wrong can be handily shut down and I'll run with my tail tucked between my legs like the no good troll I am (I am). When I was typing that response I was pretty sure it'd be you who would jump on it first, this is your baby after all. Built it from the ground up and encouraged such positive thinking about it all. You are right though, that post does say a lot about me, I really dropped the ball and showed my true colours. Now everybody knows I don't like it when people act smug and disregard adverse opinion. There's a reason I keep coming back to this thread. It's like when a new sitcom comes out and for awhile it's really fresh, they explore new formulas and really hammer it down into something good. Then it runs for a few years and they never really evolve and the jokes get stale. What was good is still there and you can go back and enjoy the beginning again but it just keeps going and going. Eventually they just keep repeating all those things people loved again and again but at that point they are really grasping and floundering. Sometimes you just need to keep an eye on Frankenstein.
  22. People are different, some like the gunboat, some don't. It's not your place to understand why in either case. You're a good example of what I don't like about aspects of this thread, smug superiority over dissenters.
