  1. Hey guys, just a heads up.  Today, I learned that Card Kingdom here in the Ballard neighborhood of Seattle got a hold of the Spring 2015 OP Kit.  This means that Card Kingdom will be having a Warhammer 40K Conquest Spring 2015 Tournament very soon whthin the next few weeks.  Prize support will include the Spring 2015 tourney stuff as well as leftovers from the Store Championship back in February.  I'll keep you guys posted with new info.

Anyway, if you're looking for a Conquest play group here in the Seattle area, we have one at Card Kingdom that meets regularly at 6pm on Mondays.  Usually there is 4 of us at any given Monday, but this past Monday we had 9 people join us and so this group is getting bigger.

Here's our Facebook page (you have to log into FB first):

  2. Having PT ships and starfighters in Armada would be very intriguing.  I suppose you would have to add both Republic and Separatists as additional factions.  If FFG decides to go that route, we would mostly see the Recusant-Class Light Destroyer, the Republic Attack Cruiser and whole bunch of starfighters as options.  I'm indifferent if FFG decides to do this in the future or if they keep it strictly OT.

  3. Just a FYI for those of you looking to get on some more playing time or new to the game and want to learn:

There's a group of us (about 10) that regularly meets at 6PM on Mondays at Card Kingdom/Cafe Mox in the Ballard neighborhood of Seattle.  At the moment there are currently 4 of us that usually makes it out to every meet-up unless noted on our Facebook page:

  4. The only thing that I ever liked from the now "Legend" post-ROTJ Expanded Universe was the Thrawn trilogy, I Jedi, and the X-Wing series.  Everything else I found to be glorified amateur fan fiction that started to feel boring and unimaginative after a while.  This is simply my opinion and I know there are plenty of people out there who would totally disagree with me.  That's fine.

However, I did love the Knights of the Old Republic games.  To a good extent much of the Dawn of The Jedi, Tales of the Jedi, Lost Tribe of the Sith and Darth Bane literature I found very intriguing.  I'm very fascinated with pre-Phantom Menace Star Wars universe that took place anywhere from 100 - 25,000 years Before the Battle of Yavin.

I did read some of the new novels that are part of the new SW canon and I kind of thought they were a bit restricted and felt as if they are simply playing it safe.  I do recommend the new Star Wars and Darth Vader comic book series by Marvel!

  5. Issaquah is going to be a little too far for me. As much as I would like to travel, I'm relatively limited with my mode of transportation at the moment.

However, Card Kingdom in Ballard sounds great.  Hopefully, we can get an Armada community going and perhaps it will evolve to the point in which Card Kingdom can host FFG sanctioned tourneys, store championships, etc in the future.

  6. Just wanted to see if there are anyone out there in the Seattle (mainly north Seattle) area who would like to get together some time soon for games of Armada.

I just got my single core set in the mail today and spent a few hours organizing pieces & sleeving up the cards.

I live in the Northgate neighborhood and also spend time down at Card Kingdom in Ballard for Netrunner & Conquest as well.  Anyway, I'm dying to play against some people and so lets make it happen!

  7. I live in north Seattle and will most likely be looking for a playgroup in the area for IA skirmish games...once I find time to learn the rules and such.  I'm more interested in skirmish than doing campaign.

I generally go down to Card Kingdom in Ballard for a Warhammer 40K Conquest playgroup on Mondays.
