  2. Even if he is cheap, he is much worse than in 1.0 and I doubt that he will see much play. A pity really. As someone pointed out earlier, too hard and situational to use and now even the extra shield was stripped.

Besides Brobots just won the Worlds, according to your data they could not have won. I "invented" Commonwealth Defenders as soon as the Imperial Veterans preview came out. Upon release it immediately won multiple nationals. -You did not "invent" it. Everyone who had eyes could see that Imperial Veterans would be very good and had used similiar lists. Stating the obvious doesn´t make you a very good oracle. I predicted that PS11 Rebel Fenn + Hotshot co-pilot was an absurdly strong piece. (Again, >100% efficiency on PS11 leads to easy conclusions). -Same thing here, as you admit, easy conclusions. Talking about your Fairship rebels miscalculations.. When that was pointed out in this thread, you hid behind your scientific method and refused to answer. Sure, it´s easier to calculate things when there are clear results. But that´s just tinkering afterwards, not predicting or a perfect calculation method you claim to have. Anyway, even if FFG doesn´t get everything right at the launch of 2.0, they can now easily modify the point costs and a lot of other stuff as well. So yeah, an app will be a lot better than just your jousting value. I too value your work to some extent, but man you did come off so ego-centric and narsissistic about this, "being the only one who can do this". Did it ever occur to you that no one with mathematical education here just did not want to use their time on calculating jousting values to plastic ships? It´s FFG´s job and they did not know how big the game was going to be. And now the mistakes they have made with the point costs are being fixed with an app, so good times are coming.
  4. I agree with the subject. Seems that the designers' solution to all under-performing ships is to add them boost and/or barrel roll. Ships used to be different, factions too. Now everything feels almost the same. Well, all but regeneration.
  5. The best-looking builder, also simple to use. But alas, sometimes a bit behind with all the upgrades and ships.

Would you care to elaborate why anyone should care about your opinion if you can´t even discuss when someone makes a point and gives an explanation to the nerfs? Looking at tournament results, the nerfed cards were broken, there´s no denying that.
  7. Do not mix evade/reinforce tokens as the same thing as regeneration. Each time a ship that cannot regenerate gets hit, it loses health permanently.
  8. The Palpatine nerf was justified by "opening up Imperial design space". Doesn´t this do the same for Rebels? No faction should be dependent on one pilot. The Biggs nerf is just right. I´m having fun watching the reactions.

  10. You mean overpriced for what he does? You have to have a ride for him too. Anyway, nobody can´t complain about the nerfs as everybody has been hit. I sill think that the Imperials took the biggest hits with Defenders and Palpatine.

  12. Well at first Palpatine wasn´t a thing, so it hardly seemed too good to be true. And it was over by the time he was nerfed. And he was nerfed to death.
  13. Palpatine nerf was a bit too much. As it was justified By "opening up Imperial squad design", this will do the same thing to Rebels. It is the right thing to do.

  15. So what about Gunboat upgrade cards? Especially the elite skill card, has anyone been able to squint that?
  16. Or FFG could do to Rebels what they did with Imperials, when they thought Palpatine and Defenders were "warping the meta": nerf all the best Rebel ships and that way force people to play all the other (bad) ships.
  17. But it´s the same for everyone. I have been forced to try new strategies with initiative dependent lists and it´s been ok.

  19. Totally skews store-level meta? Isn´t that a bit exaggeration, as not that many Palpatine builds made it to the top? And now there are way better Rebel and Scum builds than there were in 2016 before the nerf. I get that maybe there were too much of the same builds, but the nerf was still too hard, especially when you look at the ships which have been released after it. Sorry that your local scene used only Palpatine builds, but that was not the case everywhere. And Palpatine was certainly not overpowered. Very good, but not broken. But same can be said about lots of builds. Some are even broken, but not Imperials.
  20. People keep asking it because it was unjustified. It was broken card by what standards? Clearly not by tournament success, it did not make it to top two at Worlds even before the nerf. Pretty OP, right? And as for the "new toys to imps"... it has been quite a while and Imperials haven´t got even remotely as good upgrades or ships as the other factions. And from the looks of it, the gunboat will not change that. The nerfing of scum & rebels is way overdue.
  21. Agreed. The whole nerf was done too hastily. Imperials weren´t winning Worlds even with pre-nerf Palpatine. Now it has gone even worse from that.
  22. I think the options should be more imaginative than adding boost (or) barrel roll to every ship. That makes just nearly all ships have the same charasteristics. Some swarm/squadron titles would be nice, especially for the generics which see very little play.
  23. Games are supposed to be fun. That does not have anyting to do with your posts which are trying to be fun. And I'm not convinced that FFG always knows what's wrong and how to fix it. I'm not new here, I just havent posted much. And who are you to decide how much whining is enough? Game issues should be discussed as much as needed, even if it means "million times" for you. I take that any time compared to a "look at me, I'm trying to be funny" posts. To each his own, I guess.

  25. I usually tell people that I "played games with my friends" and if they dig deeper, I say tabletop games. So yeah, a bit embarrassed because people tend to have certain views on miniature games as children´s toys.
