  1. So VERY limited combat use, but I guess that counts. Very well, Arc it is.
  2. Did it see much operational use? I would count only those which were used in combat, more than few times. I mean Gloster Meteor is Allied jet fighter, but it really did not see much action due to late entry and few planes.
  3. What is that horrible thing!? I was thinking the Arc-170 would be Il-2.
  4. Nah, I wasn´t thinking of manufacturers, just how the fighters feel, To me, N1 resembles P51D Mustang the most.
  5. I´d say Separatist ships are Japanese fighters, the Vulture would be A6M "Zero". Fast, Agile and all for one cause. For the Republic… maybe U.S. Air Force during WW2? Clearly Rebels are all the Allies.
  6. Slow day at work, here´s my take on this subject: TIE Fighters are clearly Bf 109 E, fast and agile, but lacking a bit in firepower. TIE Advanced = Bf 109 K-4, more powerful armament. TIE Interceptor would be FW 190 A-8. Fast and made for hit and run attacks. TIE Defender = Me 262, the most advanced fighter Empire has. Rebels: Headhunters are Hurricanes, the workhorses. Arc = Il-2 Sturmovik, tanks with gunners. X-Wing = P40 E-1 Kittyhawk, good all-rounder. A-Wing = Spitfire V B, fast and agile. B-Wing = P47 Thunderbolt. Large, hits hard.
  7. I play mostly with a group of friends. All matches to the death, no time limit. Takes usually 30 min to 1,5 hours, maybe 2. Much more fun than time limits and chasing most valuable points and then running away.
  8. Yeah, despite I play only Imperial, in a twisted way I´m glad to see the Rebels do well after reading all the forum whining that they are no good and these and these Empire ships are undercosted.
  9. I´m a bit confused now. Isn´t the (primary) torpedo arc an arc too?
  10. So torpedoes will not give me forward arc, but I can shoot them only from my forward arc from Decimator? If my turret arc is sideways, wouldn´t the ship cover 270 degrees then?
  11. We had a heated discussion with my friend can all abilities which trigger when in "arc" or "firing arc" can be used with mobile AND primary arc so, that you could cover two of the four arcs? For example Jan Ors´ pilot ability, does "firing arc" include the turret arc in addition with the primary arc? Thanks for your help in advance.

  13. Am I the only one who can´t read missiles and torpedoes properly, or all ranges restricted to just one range, e.g. no more 2-3 or 1-2 but 2 or 1? They all seem to have just one number and "Weapon range no bonus"

  17. Even if he is cheap, he is much worse than in 1.0 and I doubt that he will see much play. A pity really. As someone pointed out earlier, too hard and situational to use and now even the extra shield was stripped.

Besides Brobots just won the Worlds, according to your data they could not have won. I "invented" Commonwealth Defenders as soon as the Imperial Veterans preview came out. Upon release it immediately won multiple nationals. -You did not "invent" it. Everyone who had eyes could see that Imperial Veterans would be very good and had used similiar lists. Stating the obvious doesn´t make you a very good oracle. I predicted that PS11 Rebel Fenn + Hotshot co-pilot was an absurdly strong piece. (Again, >100% efficiency on PS11 leads to easy conclusions). -Same thing here, as you admit, easy conclusions. Talking about your Fairship rebels miscalculations.. When that was pointed out in this thread, you hid behind your scientific method and refused to answer. Sure, it´s easier to calculate things when there are clear results. But that´s just tinkering afterwards, not predicting or a perfect calculation method you claim to have. Anyway, even if FFG doesn´t get everything right at the launch of 2.0, they can now easily modify the point costs and a lot of other stuff as well. So yeah, an app will be a lot better than just your jousting value. I too value your work to some extent, but man you did come off so ego-centric and narsissistic about this, "being the only one who can do this". Did it ever occur to you that no one with mathematical education here just did not want to use their time on calculating jousting values to plastic ships? It´s FFG´s job and they did not know how big the game was going to be. And now the mistakes they have made with the point costs are being fixed with an app, so good times are coming.
  19. I agree with the subject. Seems that the designers' solution to all under-performing ships is to add them boost and/or barrel roll. Ships used to be different, factions too. Now everything feels almost the same. Well, all but regeneration.
  20. The best-looking builder, also simple to use. But alas, sometimes a bit behind with all the upgrades and ships.

" -Personality, really? =D "adv. slam, the other contention that was an issue that I took for granted anyways" -Good for you, you were probably the only one. Would you care to elaborate why anyone should care about your opinion if you can´t even discuss when someone makes a point and gives an explanation to the nerfs? Looking at tournament results, the nerfed cards were broken, there´s no denying that.
  22. Do not mix evade/reinforce tokens as the same thing as regeneration. Each time a ship that cannot regenerate gets hit, it loses health permanently.
  23. The Palpatine nerf was justified by "opening up Imperial design space". Doesn´t this do the same for Rebels? No faction should be dependent on one pilot. The Biggs nerf is just right. I´m having fun watching the reactions.
