  1. Hello! Btw I am enjoying your videos! So, I like the list. I would suggest dangerous territory for an objective because neb bs love flying in formation. No obstruction worries. I would say just get another cr 90 instead of squadrons But I know you like your b wings Lol so I say stick with them and their a wing escorts. I like What they can potentially do to ships. I would ask Why so many escort frigates? Down grading a few could save you some points, But who knows How the game will be at 400 points. All that anti squadron defence could annihilate any fighter screen. Why the lone cr90 with mothma? Is it to be sneaky? I would take out fighters and cr90 and try and get a naked assault frigate. Well,just to try it out any way. But who knows What 400 points will bring? Maybe fighters will be undeniably important.
  2. I guess it depends on What kind of fighters and What objective we were playing. An all blue dice fighter swarm is not so scary, unless they roll amazing. I saw a vsd get finished off by 5 tie fighters! Trying not to end up in that cloud of fighters and taking out the most expensive ship would still be my tactic there. Against ryhmer and Let's say 7 bombers I would just try and stay out of medium range and try and focus down one ship at a time. With that many points spent on bombers I don't think he could have more than two ships, unless maybe they were all gsds, But then I will definitely out range them. Rebels are easier. Just take out the carrier first and don't get stuck in a squadron ball. Must keep up your speed. I feel rebel ships can mitigate squadron forward placement better than empire ships due to speed.
  3. Yeah,I was debating hard core on to fighters or not to fighters lol I almost went with a fleet of yavaris, Adar tallon on an assault frigate and dodannas pride with Luke, two b wings, two a wings and an x wing. I just didn't have enough practice with squadrons or a list like that, so I went with a jousting monster machine.
  4. Thanks man! 1. I did not face any bombers at all during the tournament. But my initial plan against try them was to destroy their most expensive ship first if it was against rhymer, since he isn't so command dependent and kill the carrier ship as fast as I can and stay at speed 2-3 against rebels. 2. I faced demolisher in all 3 games. What I did to mitigate his effect was to fly in formation. Usually the gsd would be the flanker and alone so once I saw where they placed him I would set up in a way to trap and lure him in. I knew I had to kill that ship first every game. The assault frigate was always escorted by nebulons on either side with the cr90 flanking on Which ever side the vsds were not. I would slow roll up to demolisher and if he pounced I knew I could focus him down right away. I often used the near naked nebulon as bait, they can be super tanky with double brace. 3. I actually wanted the xi7 turbolasers! I just couldn't get the card Lol.so I went with h9 in stead because of the blue die. It worked better than expected. Being able to have an accuracy to deny brace then use Intel officer on another token. Or vice versa and Intel the brace token and accuracy another. It worked so well and made my opponents have to make tough choices. Just taking brace out of the equation when I would get the paragon black dice and focus fire was excellent! If I recall I think I did the exact amount of damage to destroy demolisher and I h9 lasered his brace and killed him. enhanced armaments is just one die that is not a for sure thing, while h9s are. A brace or evade can totally take oit that fickle red die you paid 10 points for. Now You could even imagine scoring 7 damage and then turning the blue into an accuracy and stopping the brace then intel a redirect or something... so much damage going through! Also, to get paragon to work I would just place him parallel to the ship vertically that I wanted to double arc. I would first shoot with the side arc then add the black dice to the front, this way It's two medium sized attacks instead of one large then one small. Even though with this set up of a guaranteed brace you could put the black die or dice with concentrate fire and maybe get the awesome 10 damage super roll with an accuracy! I hope I can roll that well someday. Thanks again for the comments.
  5. It was our stores first tournament and we had 6 players in attendance with a 3 rebel 3 empire split! We were all excited to see How the match ups would play out. There was only one blue on blue match played, Which I think made the event even better. I like that we Got to see How the factions were able to hold up against the other. since this is a fleet build thread I won't go into detail of the other players lists or What fleets i played against. That is unless you want me to, then I will do so! So here is the list that Got me the sweet assault frigate card: Tournament fleet (299/300) ========================= Nebulon-B Frigate: Nebulon-B Support Refit (51 + 20) + Raymus Antilles (7) + Salvation (7) + XI7 Turbolasers (6) Assault Frigate Mark II: Assault Frigate Mk.II B (72 + 46) + General Dodonna (20) + Advanced Projectors (6) + Intel Officer (7) + Paragon (5) + H9 Turbolasers (8) CR90 Corvette: CR90 Corvette B (39 + 13) + Leading Shots (4) + Veteran Captain (3) + Dodonna's Pride (6) Nebulon-B Frigate: Nebulon-B Support Refit (51 + 7) + Intel Officer (7) Objectives Assault: Advanced Gunnery (0) Objectives Defense: Fleet Ambush (0) Objectives Navigation: Dangerous Territory (0) I made this list up for a straight jousting match that could maneuver well if needed. Advanced gunnery was a no brainer with paragon. Fleet ambush rewards high ship count and punishes low fleet count. Dangerous territories was chosen so that I may fly in formation with out having to worry about obstacles and Hey maybe pick up an objective or two. Any and all comments welcome!
  6. I won a tournament this past weekend on the 26 at sunshine adventure gaming in Miami, Florida. 6 people attended. My list was: Tournament fleet (299/300) ========================= Nebulon-B Frigate: Nebulon-B Support Refit (51 + 20) + Raymus Antilles (7) + Salvation (7) + XI7 Turbolasers (6) Assault Frigate Mark II: Assault Frigate Mk.II B (72 + 46) + General Dodonna (20) + Advanced Projectors (6) + Intel Officer (7) + Paragon (5) + H9 Turbolasers (8) CR90 Corvette: CR90 Corvette B (39 + 13) + Leading Shots (4) + Veteran Captain (3) + Dodonna's Pride (6) Nebulon-B Frigate: Nebulon-B Support Refit (51 + 7) + Intel Officer (7) Objectives Assault: Advanced Gunnery (0) Objectives Defense: Fleet Ambush (0) Objectives Navigation: Dangerous Territory (0) And 2nd place was:( to the best of my memory) 2nd place (300/300) =================== Gladiator-class Star Destroyer: Gladiator I-class Star Destroyer (56 + 32) + Intel Officer (7) + Assault Concussion Missiles (7) + Engine Techs (8) + Demolisher (10) Victory-class Star Destroyer: Victory I-class Star Destroyer (73 + 46) + Admiral Screed (26) + Intel Officer (7) + Assault Concussion Missiles (7) + XI7 Turbolasers (6) Victory-class Star Destroyer: Victory I-class Star Destroyer (73 + 20) + Intel Officer (7) + Assault Concussion Missiles (7) + XI7 Turbolasers (6) Objectives Defense: Contested Outpost (0) Objectives Assault: Advanced Gunnery (0) Objectives Navigation: Minefields (0)
  7. So...I like using yavaris, adar talon, and luke... that combination is really deadly to any ship. Unless you roll all blanks.... Oh and toss in dodonna in the event you crit you can choose the best critical. Luke by him self can win you the game with the right support. He has done well for me and I love How thematic it plays!
  8. Also, is there any way to here a link to the email post or something? We are having a tournament and the players in my area always agree to disagree on the matter. Would like to show them the law!
  9. Woah. OK Cool. Never saw the email. So if I did 5 points of damage then one point of damage can go to the other faces not targeted and then the targeted Hull zone will take remaining 2 points ? Thanks for clarification.
  10. Isn't it just move one point of damage anywhere as supposed to adjacent Hull zones? The Turbo laser upgrade just works on amount of damage transferred.
  11. Oh no! My plans for world domination are ruined!.... Yes I know what it means....I made a mistake. Thanks for catching it man. Will change now.
  12. Hey! Yeah I'm trying to Remember full lists.... But mine was dash with outrider, hlc, eu, ptl, kyle katarn. Plus two rookies! Thanks man
  13. So Yeah. Super dash and two rookies helped me win a Swiss style tournament this past weekend. It was a lot of fun flying Dash! We played 4 rounds no cut to top 4 or whatever, who ever had the most points wins. Game 1: vs 2 b wings biggs and Jake. He was a newer player But he flew in a way I didn't expect so I played conservative at first. After the game I gave him advice on the game and ships he was using as good will and for him to keep playing and practicing so that in time, he will catch the nuances of the game. 100- 0 win. Game 2: faced off against turr, fell, and vader. auto thrusters and a slippery vader. None of us killed a thing! His green dice were.... hot? Super green! Great maneuvering on both our parts. Tie! Game 3: another autothruster list, But this time it was 4 a wings. Jake, Tycho, a prototype, and the pilot who gets an extra green die at range one? Arvel? My plan was to slow roll my squad and keep them in arc for as long as I can then have dash high tail it out of there Hopefully having the surviving a -wings take the bait and follow him while the x wings shot at them. The plan worked! The opponent flew the A-wings brilliantly! 100-0 win Last game was against the player currently in first and I had to win to take his place. He had two b wings. One ion and another fletchet. And two y wings with ion turrets. I knew that I had to do. I set up a mess of debris in the middle and led him on a merry chase through it. He flew the squadron well not hitting the obstacles But him splitting his force was enough. Dash saw the opportunity and turned behind the rookies who turned into the split enemy squadron to engage in the debris fields. I lost both rookies But with support from the kiting dash he was down to two hurt b wings. Dash did his dance and I pulled out a 100 -42 win from a control type build. Great matches and fun was had. Getting better with Dash every time I play, and x wings are freaking great everybody
  14. Isn't it only for one attack then? Not both attacks? I understand it refreshes later. Not in between attacks.
  15. So have a tournament coming up and decided to see if this may work. What do you guys think? Is Kyle's focus important or are straight greens better so that super dash isn't super predictable? Also with nien I can fit two b wings over x wings. Are the B's with their Staying power better with dash or are the two agility of the x's better to mitigate damage? Thanks all!
  16. So I've decided to let go of squadrons and just play with as many ships as I can in 300 points with imperials. I don't want to get 4 gladiators But I do have two of each ship. Demolisher ( glad 1), gladiator 1,vsd 1 w/ screed, vsd 1. Coming in at 294 I think the initiative bid is OK. Is this feasible? Are acm needed? Objectives are opening salvo, mine field, and fleet ambush Thanks for any replies!
  17. omg. . . . this made me laugh so much. . . im still laughing

  20. Stay on target is great with him....and advanced sensors....that's all I'd give him....unless you want a HEAVYLAZERCANNON. BUT he's better up close and personal. Like Sylvester Stallone In Rambo.
