I'm actually excited for Wave 7 too, precisely because Scum just hit the market. They have 3 unique ships, and there is a whole world of crazy space pirating that I've been dreaming about since I was six or seven years old. Space pirate was my dream job back then, it's my dream job now. So, the more Scum ships that get released, and the faster Fantasy Flight releases them, the happier I'll be. Especially the Dunelizard.

I don't know about whether they can "save" it or not, but I'm looking at maybe increasing my order since so many people have been PMing me about them. The more I look at your design, Tipperary, the more I like it. My Dunelizard shipped today from Mel's minis, so I should be able to get some play time with it in a week or so. I'll definitely be running your card/dial and see how it fits in with the scum in general.

I had that option, but chose to go with the English to make it more intelligible to non-total nerds. Maybe that was a bad call considering I'm making myself a fighter pilot jacket for a made-up TIE interceptor group, but that was my reasoning.

HAH! Have never used my Firespray, have never wanted to use my Firespray, and not sure why I bought my **** Firespray! And yup, with the advent of S&V, I want another Firespray, now that its come home. I was never a Boba Fett fan, so I never saw the allure. And yet, now that I can get Kath Scarlet and scum it up, I'm champing at the bit for one. One of these days I'm going to try to make a viable all-girls Scum list. Should be fun.

I don't think it should hit any harder, as the payload for missiles was greater, but the actual primary laser cannons were the same. I think, based on the ship in the Galaxies game, it should really be 2 3 3 2, with target lock, evasion, and barrel roll, but I can see compromising with 2 2 3 2 and removing innate target lock for the sake of balance. Although, to be honest, the A-wing also has four action bar icons, so maybe Focus, Target Lock, Barrel Roll, and Evade isn't so crazy out of whack.

Can't wait to get a Firespray for my scum!

I got one for the auto thrusters, never having been a fan of the ship design. Haven't played with it yet either, been too fascinated by the Scyks and the Most Wanted pack. When that novelty wears off, I may give it a try though. That or go back to Imps.

At this point, Tipperary, I think you've got me pretty well convinced about your build. I'd love to see target lock on it, but it's only 2 points to get it with targeting computer, so that's not too bad. Though having target lock standard doesn't strike me as a bad idea either. Pretty full action bar at that point though.

Not star wars, but this is my favorite jacket: I got the jacket for free from a friend and put the patches on it, so it was very cheap, and I think it's so cool. I've been a wannabe fighter pilot/starfighter pilot my whole life. I'm currently working on a TIE interceptor pilot jacket too, and then I may do a rebel and a scum pirate squadron one, since I've gotten so into X-wing miniatures. I want to do a TIE pilot jacket though with a cool trench coat, maybe like Trinity's from the Matrix, but with lots of squadron patches and Imperial Cogs.

I think they're both quite viable. I definitely like having target lock, that was really a huge deal with the cannons on the Scyks for me. Having target lock and evade on the Dunelizard would be interesting because you'd have to make a tough choice on which to do. I definitely think it needs 3 hull. I like 2 attack, but I wouldn't be opposed to 3 attack. I think I want to make several cards and just play test them until the real Dunelizard comes out. Can't wait for my Mel's miniature to get here. Should be about a week (which is too long a wait for such a cool looking ship!)

In my first (and only) game with scum, I think this is something I screwed up. I moved my Scyks up with my Y-wing jousters, and the Scyks started taking hits. I ended up losing two out of three scyks in the game (took out the Falcon with Han and Chewbacca, Jan Ors, and a Z-95 though). If I'd stayed back farther, that might not have happened. So I think your advice is really good, Kilkakon.

No retraction needed from my point of view. It's really only insulting if you view women as inherently less valuable than men, which our society is wont to do, but which is fallacious in the extreme. So, read another way, he's basically just saying he doesn't care about pretty, elegant men wearing spandex who are engaging in a hobby mostly frequented by ladies. Though why he immediately made the jump to men's figure skating is another issue entirely.

Yeah, hockey is almost as cool as figure skating! I can't even...you said... Your opinion is henceforth summarily ignored!! :-P When I see a hockey player do a triple axel, I'll be impressed. Figure skaters are tougher too. When hockey players fall on the ice they've got like six inches of pads, figure skaters have like 1mm of lycra and sequins.

I don't know about too good, but I agree that some testing needs to be done. I think the fact that the cannon prevents the bonus range 1 dice makes a difference, as the 2 base means that it's rarely going to be attacking with its main gun. And if you throw HLC on it, you're going to be out at range 2-3, so not doing a whole lot of knife-fighting at all.
