Wooah! Mind blown - I've been misreading Howlrunner's ability ever since 2nd ed appeared. She works on any friendly ship, not just on Tie Fighters!
Going to fly her far more now!

USCGrad90 reacted to Maui. in Dropping a rigged cargo net onto an opponent ship
Once placed, the Rigged Cargo is a debris field (Rules Reference, p20).
When a ship overlaps a debris field, it gains a stress and rolls a die, taking a crit damage if a crit is rolled (Obstacles, page 13).
A stressed ship cannot perform red maneuvers; if a stressed ship reveals a red maneuver it does indeed perform a white 2 forward (Maneuvers, page 13).
There's an ambiguity in the rules with dropping Rigged Cargo directly on a ship. This is an entry in the official FAQ pinned to the top of the rules forum:
However, the rules reference only provides instructions on what to do when you overlap an obstacle while moving, so despite the clarification from FFG, it remains unclear whether Rigged Cargo applies its stress + possible crit when dropped directly on a ship.

EdIt to change my position: I sent the question to FFG to clarify what their intent is.
Based on my reading, if you did not overlap. You can perform your action.  If bases are touching without overlapping, it is range 0 and you can't attack.

Burger Tokens are a good alternative to cardboard or acrylic tokens.
They're a puffy sticker that you apply to a penny. They have a nice weight to them too.

    I am sure they could.
But without even dials or condition cards we are along way our from things like a referancable rules index. Would love to be able to say double tap the barrel roll symbol and have the rules for that pop up.

    Sure it does.
Basic Question: "Is the app error free?"
Answer: "NO - One Example is Vader Pilot and Crew in the same list, thus the app has errors."  Incorrect point values are another example of error.  Until FFG confirms that the app is error free, it should be assumed that there is a possibility of error.

This exemplifies the biggest issue with the handling of the app. They've botched the launch so bad they've created a situation where what is supposed to be the authoritative source is considered unreliable.

Yes...Unfortunately.  Our tournament on Saturday was cancelled due to the hurricane, but was hoping to verify win conditions  rather than playing to destruction of one player's ships.

USCGrad90 got a reaction from Jedirev in Heres all the bugs I found on the android app
On my Android app, everytime I add a ship, it takes me to the list and I have to click "Add Ship" and then open up the ship selection again to pick another pilot.  Quite annoying to build an Inferno Squad swarm list and the fact that you can't copy a ship makes multiple generics also slow to build.
I have no problem with the PC based app doing this, as it let me click to add a ship and leaves the pilot selections open and I can add them without it closing.

Of bigger concern will be the learning curve. When I started it was a handful of abilities and upgrades that came in waves after X many months. It will now be a mountain of options to chug through instantly, to find what I like especially if what I like changed from what it was in 1.0. I still have some ships that I haven't flown in 1.0 yet, I'll get one or two conversion kits and I suddenly will have 80 ships to figure out, plus new rules, actions, mechanics.
Uggh. I'll have to really work at getting table time to get experience with this new stuff.

USCGrad90 got a reaction from Vontoothskie in Xwing is suffering despite what the clickbaiters say
Ancedotal reference to people leaving the game.  In my area, attendance is up at tournaments, in part due to running some different formats and getting in some interesting prize support and themes.  We also have a number of new players showing up, so my single point of data would say it's up.
I know you can't determine the state of the game everywhere, but if FFG used any indicators, they would look at sales and attendance at different tournaments and sales.  I know that last year, the closest Regional to me was 77 players and this year was 139.  England also hosted a system open that I read was around 500.

So I'm not sure if Xwing  is dwindling overall, since my area seems to be growing.  My personal feelings about the game have changed.  After having gone to 2 regionals in 2 years and reading about the meta lists in big tournaments, I've invested more into helping my local tournaments grow and over different formats to keep it interesting.  I may still try to go to Worlds and some big tournaments down the road, but right now, I can focus on casual gameplay and helping others have fun learning and playing the game.
