  1. Hey folks! Let's eat breakfast together before worlds. This time *I* have the car and won't get left behind! There's a place called the Egg Harbor Cafe about 5 min from the convention center: https://goo.gl/maps/H7F3c6W7p7m The tournament is at 10am for Friday's Day 2, so we'll want to be bright and early at about 8:15am for Breakfast. Who's in? Also:

    Unique non character CC squadrons

Also if you thought A's and E's were good, imagine 4 Saber Squadrons mulching things with snipe from down town.

    Unique non character CC squadrons

I'd still take like 4 Gold Squadrons at 54 points, before even thinking what other squadrons I wanted.
  4. Signing Up: Follow This Link Leader Roles: Organizer - @BiggsIRL Marshall - @BiggsIRL Judges - Any Player Watching Your Games! Format: Structure: Custom - 6 player "Leagues" Tier - Relaxed - Tournaments at this level are welcoming to all players, regardless of experience level. Players are encouraged to help each other improve and learn, so long as it does not significantly disrupt the game. The focus is on creating a fun and friendly environment." Rules: No lists. You read that right. This is a league not a tournament. Bring whatever you want for any given game (legal fleet building rules apply)... with one (additional) restriction: **You can only bring a unique card once.** Once you bring a unique card to a game it is locked out for the rest of the league play. Players will be sorted into Leagues of 6 players each (with roughly the same time zones / schedules), who will play one another round-robin, with 1 game scheduled per week. Each game has a wiggle room of 1 week in either direction (i.e. Week 2's game can be played Week 1 or Week 3). WARNING: All games must be played by the end of Week 5! If you are unable to play 2 weeks in a row, you are considered to have forfeited the League and your missed and remaining games will be scored as though a concession to your opponent. Typically a 400 point game is expected, but if players agree they may instead play a Sector Fleet game instead with points agreed to in advance by both parties. Varsity or JV? How good are you at Armada, and at Vassal? I've placed in the top 4 at a Regional level or higher - Varsity. I've been playing Armada since Wave 3 - Varsity. I've never won a tournament - JV. I've never used Vassal before - JV. Ultimately, it's up to you whether you sign up for JV or Varsity, and unless your name is something like @JJs Juggernaut I'm not going to question your decision. Don't be a jerk. GET WEIRD! Due to demand, you can choose when you sign-up to GET WEIRD. If you do, you'll be placed in a League with other weirdos like yourself. JV and Varsity do not apply. You're the guys eating glue in the corner, not the Lettermen Jacket wearers here. No fleet building rules apply other than the following things: 1) POINTS (400 unless agreed to in advance) 2) UNIQUES (1 use per tournament) 3) COMMANDERS (Gotta have at least 1) 4) OBJECTIVES (Bring 3. I don't care what color(s).) Go nuts you beautiful, wonderful, booger eaters.

Wednesday is the last day to get in on this!
  7. I wish I could give you peace of mind, but I cannot confirm nor deny the location of any of my ships on open channels at this time due to OPSEC. I can promise you that I WILL NOT ATTACK YOU or any of your claimed territory unless you attack me. I have enough trouble as it is.
  8. No. If I have a fleet at dsCT it is certainly not being pointed at you.
  9. When you folks are willing to talk peace let me know, okay? Gonna be blowing up ships and capitals in the meantime.
  10. I was really hoping I'd run into your fleet in Umbarra. Why weren't you in "G" like I thought you would be? I guess I should have just gone to "M" and sacked your home world. Maybe we'll just trade places on the map? Well, except GNIPs will hold Pentok. (Off to sleep, more shell games of "whack the fleet" when I wake up)
  11. 120 IC. Wait, no, 125 IC. Thanks for Umbarra.
  12. I was very much expecting to hand you some new toys and have us renew the fight. Everyone is too... LEGAL.

    Happy Friday

    'Sup?
  14. I honestly thought I was going to set off the battle of alliances, with the North seizing the chance to pile on. Oops. You all should never play Diplomacy. Nothing would ever get done!
  15. @FortyInRed General Tron'di's bluster asside - would you be willing to put the Crown-Prince upon the throne at Ava F'tarq? His coronation is more important than some silly war. I can ensure that he reaches your planets, safe from this senseless conflict. You are his only hope. - Minister H. Hinsom
  16. @GhostofNobodyInParticular - @The Jabbawookie: No hard feelings guys. My actual feelings in this is more; "At last! Some conflict!" Good luck to both of you. I'm not going to make this easy.
  17. @GhostofNobodyInParticular It costs nothing to offer others things that are not yet yours. This is a personal betrayal, because you have made it so. When have I upset your borders? Name me a time! Your borders are secure! You merely must stay your hand, like you should have done to begin with. Or join with me, and begin the fight that will surely take place once I am eliminated, but with you weakened and unable to stop what is to come. If I could take you both on I would, but my fleets can only be in so many places at once. So, given the choice, will I fight the guy who has no forces near me, who will take at least 2 turns to even get near my capital, and who attacked my friend? Or do I fight the guy right at my border, who stabbed me in the back? There is nothing in this fight for you. Just pain. And loss. And your eventual destruction, either at my hand, or at the hands of your so-called allies. You must reconsider, because if you don't you will wish I was still around to say "I told you so".
  18. @GhostofNobodyInParticular I must again protest your senseless declaration of war. This will not go well for you. If you decide to do this, I will make sure that even if the Mandos wipe me out, you will be the one who bears the brunt of the fighting. They will get the prizes, my capital, and all of this rhey will get relatively uncontested. You will have to fight tooth and nail to even get a planet from me. I am prepared to do this specifically to spite you, and you in particular, for your betrayal. Will I be able to sack your homeworld before your allies arrive? Will I push your forces aside at D? Maybe. That would be bad for you. Will I at least bloody you into irrelevency so that when the Mando / Consortium / Berzerker / Syndicate alliance turns its hungery eye towards you, even the your allies won't be able to save you? Definately. Already I turn my baleful eye towards you. Rethink your plans before it is too late. This is my promise. - Governor-General Tron'di

I guess it is an American saying. In high school, "Varsity" is the top level of school sports, while "Junior Varsity" or "JV" are the younger kids.
