Http://swrpg.viluppo.net has most of of what you need for stats. Otherwise look at the compiled resource list thread.

And there is a thread here that has a fan made imperial resource book that looks real cool.

Also don't forget 'this Is the blog you are looking for'... (bastiancains' material) it has some ship stats that are home brew and most importantly it has all the talent trees available.

Iirc there is also a fan made rebel source book pdf around as well... and numerous fan made adventures i believe.

Otherwise you could spend about 1000 and buy ALL the books... a rather daunting task but worth it if you are a dedicated fan.

i have the rest i just needed more with villains and vehicules to use. i will see that website

  2. Yeah i'm very happy with this boxes . Flying ships in game amazing ^^ kinda sad the soldiers expansions are exactly the same as core box, but oh well.

I'm hoping next they say the release date and some hero expansion. Kinda disappointed with the prices though.. too expensive but oh well i was kinda expecting thi game to be expensive.

I hate mirror games and I think they should be gotten rid of, but it shows, when there is a bunch of them, that the meta isn't as vibrant as it could be.  People who go to tournaments are going with 'a' list or lists they think are going to win.  They aren't there for the experience of battling Star Wars factions against each other.   If I were to say that one person would have change their faction if two players wanted the same faction, I would be pilloried, but it just shows that there is an advantage to the dominant faction and players would be rightly upset if they thought they drew the short straw and weren't able to play the more dominate one.

Yes that may be true , but that just show the game is not balanced and broken. If there is no variety there's no fun in playing. Sure people will go to win, but seeing mirrors in all games is boring af.

How could you have a legitimate tourney if everyone doesn't get to pick from the exact same pool of options? Unless each faction/side had mirror characters, that had exactly the same abilities/traits. Even then, you could only have 3 people per tourney as there are only 3 factions.

well , it could be a best of 3 . then everyone one could play with each type of deck. but probably would never work , it would just give more diversity to the game. How would only be 3 person in torney ? not everyone would play the same faction . it was just an idea anyway , its kinda sad to see the same  team in every game. boring to watch

not wrong but will include info that you will be missing a framework for. Probably best thing to do is pick a genre you want to start with. Then add supplements as needed.
IE for rebel stuff get age of Rebellion and the GM kit and beginner game( has dice and a really good intro to the system. For Han Solo types get Edge of the Empire and GM kit and Beginner game. For force users get Force and Destiny and GM kit and beginner game.
The beginner games are the best value for dice as the dice are 15 bucks and the beginner game includes dice and an adventure and maps and tokens for that adventure.

the problem is that is all too expensive.. and hard to get where i live. i always wanted to start with EoE but then FnD is out and i wanted that, but i cant find the core book in the country i live. i thought it was a good deal when i saw but i dont know.

  6. i know it might be stupid and i never saw how the skirmish works in this , but wouldnt make more sense to have restrictions / bans ?

like i find it kinda stupid a jabba team vs another jabba team. i know its skirmish and etc, but it just look sad. i look at the star wars lcg card example . u cant go light side vs light side or smuglers x smuglers.

  7. hum.. thanks for the help guys.. they are different but knowing FFG, they probably will stop making things for this game. They create too many games and after a time they stop caring about some and focus on the new ones.. i miss new things in the SW rpg, eldritch horror, etc.. but u guys are rigth this has much playability for now, i'll wait for the app

Oh purleeese, have you seen the original Arkham Horror from 1987? It is terrible, looks cheap, is very small, completely different from the FFG version.

You can't even remotely compare this one with the FFG release, I count the running time for AH from 2005.

well , for a game in 1987 i cant say the game is horrible. Ofc the new one is much better looking and etc.
as for expansion, i don't see anything new about Lovecraft since the announcement of MoM 2nd edition expansion, so i doubt they will bring something new here..

1st edition had a TON of problems (synchronicity of events, extreme power creep towards the keeper, too long games, impossible setups that risked jeopardizing your games if a single card was seeded wrong, very rudimental rules on how to move monsters that could easily be used to break the game in ten seconds, and so on) that are all fixed by 2nd edition. Some would say 2nd edition is less fun because there's no Keeper (so, if you don't like full coop, 1st edition would be better) and because they say 2nd ed suffers from low replayability (on this I disagree)

Ah didnt know it was like that. For me its better the 2nd then since i play more solo or 2 persons. If the puzzles and the resto from the first game are still in this onde then im happy

  10. Can someone tell me how different is this game vs 2nd edition ?

beside the need to have the APP for playing the second edition..

I got 2nd edition, specially because of price, but after seeing a video of it on FFG youtube, i dont know if i did the right move..
