  2. I tried that first wingman build, It was very hard to play, but it append what i play xwing : it was fun, like i was really flying !

     

    I think that 4 greens need a lot of practice to fly with, and i fail into obvious traps. I flew sometimes like a standars rebel joust build, and don't listen to that voice saying " if you don't know what to do with that Awing, do your 5 green move"

    Playing like little bees i difficult because you don't see your opponent bleeding so mutch, and I go for head to head fight to mutch.

     

    If I could flew with 4 green, PTL, wired and procket, may be ?

    chose move :1

    boost left/right/fw near the ennemy then PTL to focus -> stress

    move 1 = Green -> remove stress + recover 1 shield

    attack 4 dices (remove ennemy evasive action) 

    attack 4 dices again with focus

     

    Scream, enjoy, do it again

  4. I think i'm afraid to put all my eggs in the same basket. I mean if I do that, it's like I sit and watch Corran plying alone, no ? I imagine it's better to defend my ships than go alone.

    And it's for a local tourney, I hope they don't just come with phantom and 2 big ships list,

     

    or i'm totaly wrong ?


  5. I go on sunday morning for my first store tourney, and i'm lokking for a good way to complete my quadron.

     

    In fact , I do not go out without my pair of rookies , which make coffee, sprinkle everything that comes, and can resist a few shots . I invited a Jedi to be the killing machine in my squadron : Corran will be there to do pain, and will fly in close formation of the 2 X  wings . An A wing complete the trio , and will find the little back door ...

    I do not see Corran without  fire control system , and I think that R2D2 should allow it to survive a few rounds. Let's take a look :

    I wonder now what to do to make best use of the remaining 2 points
    - Swarm tactic ?
    For 2 PS8 shooters, which is already much more efficient.

    - Draw thier fire on Corran ?
    To improve the life of my squadron . If it works, and if it's not too dangerous on a 42 points ship 

    I'm afraid that the choice is just for improved attack or défence .

    I listen to JamieSpace bad memories, and OMG ! Poor Scarlett who land on an asteroid just for take 5 hit and a crit !

    OK so FCS is a must. A second attack that hurt is a good attack !

     

    R2D2 win is place for the tournament, because of the 6 shield he bring back to my Corran. In fact a WANT they shoot to him, so my Xwing can live longer.

    OK for R2D2 !

     

    With my 2 pts meft, I add a swarm tactic, because i'm sad to not have PS4 Red squadrons, and i could kill an obsidian TIE, just before he kill my Xwing.

    May be i could do a lot of good other things with those 2 pts ... V.I., R3D2,  a Red, a Green ?

     

    It was a fun game, I start it with an epic fail in my 3 ships swarm (don't aks me), and lose my 2 rookies turn 3, but I win on the long way !

    Now, i'm OK with the ships , Corran, 2 Xwing and an Awing, but I don't know if I keep the swarm tactic.

     

    Any Suggestions ?


  7. For my first tournament, i want to try something a little more dangerous that my last fun-to-play-but-you-lose squads.

     

    I start my squad with 2 rookies. I love them, because they are not so pricey, and can take a little damage, they can arc cover the battlefield, and do a lot of damage. They are often my best guys, do the job when my aces (Tychos, Jake or keyan) died so quickly ...

    I want to add something strong, a little scary if possible, and i WANT to kill with it, without been scary of losing an expensive ship. I choose  Corran ^^

    A prototype A-wing can do chaos , yeahh !

    all that for 92 pts, here comes my choices for the last 8 pts :

     

    - R2D2 and PTL for Corran, and it's done, 99pts !

    Better, stronger, but what a hudge target ! if Corran died, my squad is nearly done

    - 1 rookie goes Biggs, R2D2 for Corran 

    Safer or not ? Hard to kill, but not so deadly

    - 2 Red squadron, PTL and R2 for Corran to fly green. 

    It's look like a clean squad, but the others looks fun too ...

     

    Any advices ??
