Nephlim24 reacted to Extropia in Amazon release date? March 8th
Like I said;
Amazon release dates. As reliable as a politician.

Nephlim24 reacted to Sorastro in When will we get online support for Star Wars Legion?
Hi folks! I am currently working hard on the rest of the core set miniatures, and the videos will be coming out between now and the game's release

Nephlim24 got a reaction from Omegaclone in Future Unit Speculation
While vechilces are big and cool I'm much more looking forward to scout troopers with snipers, rebel commandos, death and shadow troopers. Alien specific units, Bothan infiltrators!?!

Nephlim24 reacted to Raging Celt in What Miniature Game Companies Suck At
And if companies sold terrain with their minis I can guarantee you that terrain would be ridiculously expensive. Man, we don't need that. Better to build your own.

Nephlim24 reacted to Ralgon in Future Unit Speculation
And this is where it is going to stay for the time being. With the aimed 800point limits there's no place for units as big as the atat or rebel equivalents *yet*
(i imagine they will do it as a "cinematic play" game type in the same vein as xwing epic)

Nephlim24 reacted to AldousSnow in We need new commanders
This is all speculation, but I think we'll see something in the way of cheap "generic" commanders such as "Rebel commander" at a point price tag of half the hero commanders. And on that topic, in one video Alex mentioned Scout Troopers as Spec Ops. I could see that unit having 2-3 minis and costing around 75 points. But on the other side of things, they could have a Spec Ops unit like Chewbacca that is closer to 150 points. Because not all heros are commanders. Again, speculation. But i hope we see something like this.

Nephlim24 got a reaction from rabidaskal in Weak point 3: rear
But the speeders don't have the Armor keyword....

Nephlim24 reacted to Force Majeure in The 2 cores or the expansions debate after a peak
Two cores for me + 1 heavy from both factions + secondary market, custom or proxy upgrade cards.
I wouldn't think less of anyone who proxies cards or figures. I know money and time is in limited supply for a lot of us, so as long as we get to play some version of the game, I don't care if you bring green army men and Mr. Potato Head to fill in for units. LET'S PLAY STAR WARS!

Nephlim24 reacted to Lord Tareq in Weak point 3: rear
So we got this rule for the AT-ST, as well as I can read it this rule says "While defending, if the attacker's unit leader is inside your rear arc , the attack pool gains impact 3" In effect this causes up to 3 normal hits to cause damage despite the armor rule which normally only allows crits to do damage.
This is a very elegant solution to different armor facings we know from other tabletop wargames where each facing of a vehicle usually has a different armor value (i.e. 14 front, 12 side, 10 rear) and I like it a lot. What I don't like is how the open topped Rebel walker doesn't have this rule I mean the rider is exposed from all sides, it should have weak point 3: rear, side and front ^^

Nephlim24 reacted to Hawkman2000 in Armor is the trump word
I wasn't hoping they'd avoid big speeders altogether, as they just don't mesh well with the squad-level combat game.
Movement is the most important aspect of any wargame and if you give something great movement and good defense, that's gonna be tough to beat.

Phasma would be awesome, but how do you paint chrome armor?
And my personal want for the Imperial side commander: Thrawn.

Nephlim24 got a reaction from Malasombra in Rebels dominate the base set?
I'm going to be playing empire mostly because squashing rebels is too much fun to not, that being said.
Vader will be a beast, I'm thinking saber throw and the exhaustible free dodge force powers. But in an 800 point game that is over 1/4 of your points. So yes you will have that one objective on lock down then that's kind of it, his double move puts him about where a single move for Luke would (from what people are guessing) I think an exhaustible force movement power that increases the models speed by 1 or to max for the turn is what he will need to be the death dealer we want.
As for the rebel troopers getting focus fired. Yes the still can be espically if left out in the open. But the rewards for focus fire is usually being able to force an opponent to burn their tokens. While suppression will add up, morale is added up so five rebel troopers is 5 morale put them in light cover and that'll subtract 2 hits from say a five man squad of stormies that one a good day will hit 3 times maybe for with rerolls. And so on. Stormtroopers will be great when you can put them in cover and start aiming espically with their bigger gun, but I think the rebel troopers will be much more versitle in what they can do from turn to turn.
Im excited to see how bikes will do. They have solid mobility and that front gun is great but I'm curious where they will land in their consistency of late game objective grabbing and their ability to get their front gun where it needs to be.
The thing that makes me think rebels will really get away with core set victories espically at higher points is everything is cheaper, troopers and hq are both cheaper, the walker is cheaper than the bikes without equipment and I'll double check but I don't think even with the cannon that it goes over what the bikes cost.

I would love any feedback and or thoughts. As of right now I am just planning on adding some rocks and flock for grass to the bases. I would like some better looking ladders going up, so if you have an example or thought please share.
