  1. By my math that's 16.775 expected damage for the alpha strike, and 12.434-13.263 expected damage after that (assuming that the Scyks stay out of N'Dru's way and at range 2-3). Squishy, but that would be fun in a casual game.

  3. How about this? Suhlak for 8 dice cluster missile with glitterstim and the veteran with a focus and TL. By my count a 20 dice alpha strike, 15 per round after that. 4. I wanted to draw attention to a great resource for gamers, Gamecraft Miniatures. My buddies and I have used this guys stuff for other games, like Battletech and his stuff is awesome. He is a one man shop and he just started doing maneuver and range templates for X-wing and they are awesome. The templates are MDF (wood) not plastic. http://gcmini.mybigcommerce.com/maneuver-templates/ He has spectacular customer service and even does custom models, terrain, just email him and describe what you want and he will put together a CAD detail and make it for you. I am in no way associated with Gamecraft other than being a customer, but I wanted to give shout out to a small business that does really good work and takes good care of his customers. http://gcmini.mybigcommerce.com/maneuver-templates/ http://gcmini.mybigcommerce.com/
  5. Thanks but who else automatically hits regardless of the dice results?
  6. I just want to confirm my understanding of SD. The ship with SD doesn't need to be damaged only hit to nullify SD. Lt Blount will automatically hit with any attack therefore he will strip targets of SD with any attack.
  7. I typically play rebels but I want to play scum list. Here's my thought Palob takes focus actions and stores them with the MC title, he then strips tokens from targets to open up opportunist for the FS and Z. Palob also offers some control with the ion, but that is just a bonus. Kaa'To' Leeachos can grab stored focus or evades from Palob. Is this viable? 8. Maybe drop the HLC for a mangled to lose the donut hole and maybe add lone wolf, or the EPT of your choice.
  9. So as a card carrying member of the not that good at advanced math club is there any way to create a measure of durability, similar to jousting values, to operate a way of evaluating defensive efficiency? I realize jousting values aren't perfect but they do provide a simple way to evaluate ships against each other.
  10. Aren't mitigation and reduction subsets of overall durability? So Fel or Luke with R2D2 might be more durable than a B wing even though the B wing has more "HP" than Fel or Luke,
  11. I have been toying with a casual build that revolves around ships that mitigate, ignore or gain advantages from stress. I have two builds and I wanted to get the communities feedback on how effective they will be and which is better and why. Build 1: Keyan Farlander (29) Stay On Target (2) Advanced Sensors (3) Intelligence Agent (1) B-Wing/E2 (1) Ibtisam (28) Stay On Target (2) Advanced Sensors (3) Jek Porkins (26) Expert Handling (2) R5-D8 (3) Total: 100 View in Yet Another Squad Builder Build 2: Keyan Farlander (29) Stay On Target (2) Advanced Sensors (3) Intelligence Agent (1) B-Wing/E2 (1) Ibtisam (28) Push the Limit (3) Advanced Sensors (3) Nien Nunb (1) B-Wing/E2 (1) Tycho Celchu (26) Push the Limit (3) Chardaan Refit (-2) Determination (1) A-Wing Test Pilot (0) Total: 100 View in Yet Another Squad Builder My thought is that the Porkin's build adds more offense but less versatility/manueverability and Ibtisam will have a hard time getting rid of his stress without Nien. I am concerned Tycho doesn't offer enough attack dice, but he will be so mobile that he will be hard to counter. I am leaning towards using Build 2 in my gaming group (competitive casual). I have thought about SoT for Ibtisam also to gain another point, and get more points by dropping the title and crew for the third ship. I would have Ibtisam fly with Keyan to leverage Intel agent. With the points and Tycho I would add upgrade Determination to Lone Wolf and auto thrusters to fly him as a flanker. 12. Great trade with haberscothi. Responsive and a pleasure to trade with.
  13. It would be hilarious if it was an (A)ction instead of an attack so the K wing could use it after a SLAM action with the advanced SLAM device. It won't happen but it would be amazing to watch the message board melt down.
  14. What about introducing a missile/torpedo token that get assigned to a target ship and the ordinance rolls on multiple turns? Maybe subtracting 1 attack die per turn till it is zero or it hits the target? For example, assume the ordinance has 3 native attack dice on the turn it's fired it rolls 3 dice, next turn 2, then 1, then the token get removed. No re-rolls or focus allowed after the initial attack. I do not recall what ordnance requires a target lock but I could picture ordnance tracking even target behind you. That would most definitely shake up the game. But is that enough for a one-shot weapon to be worth taking over and HLC?
  15. Can you go through a typical turn for this set up? Is it boost/focus with AS, move, attack?
  16. Congrats on the clean scan. What about something like this? No cool name but good blockers and same unavoidable hits. Blue Squadron Pilot (22) Accuracy Corrector (3) Autoblaster (5) Blue Squadron Pilot (22) Accuracy Corrector (3) Autoblaster (5) Green Squadron Pilot (19) Wingman (2) Chardaan Refit (-2) Autothrusters (2) Green Squadron Pilot (19) Wingman (2) Chardaan Refit (-2) Total: 100 View in Yet Another Squad Builder
  17. So how many more hits will you generate per attack than the AC and how many evades when you defend with is build?
  18. I was kind of wondering about the pilot abilities. What about using blue squadron pilots and then you can have some other ships for support.
  19. Frak cancer indeed. 1 in 3 get it I just happened to get mine 20 or 30 years early than the most. All in all I am very lucky regardless of the diagnosis. Good luck. Hmmm that autoblaster idea might be worth stealing.
  20. I had surgery to remove a clear cell renal carcinoma in November, luckily no chemo or radiation required yet. I am hoping for an all clear on my scan so we can just focus on monitoring. I am a relatively new player so I tend to ask for more opinions than I offer, but I will say I have been looking at 3 attack ships with the AC, both the B wing and E wing. I posted an E-wing build here: https://community.fantasyflightgames.com/index.php?/topic/145525-corran-builds-best-setup/ but I have been thinking about B-wings so they can keep their actions for barrel rolls or a defensive focus. I also thought about Jan Ors crew to score an evade or recon specialist to get 2 focus token to help with multiple attackers. How does AC interact with autoblasters? If it makes the 2 hits from the AB undodgable I may have to try that.
  21. So I have my first follow up CT on my cancer in a couple of weeks, what are you using to build with, your phone? I may do the same. Fingers crossed for you to get a clean scan.
  22. I am looking at buiding a list around Corran and I wanted to get the site's opinions about options. I am not married to any particular set up or upgrades butt here are 2 build that I am considering. The LW/FCS build gives good offense and but just OK defense. I thought about just R7 to add to the defense but went with the boost R7T1 to help potentially re-position the E-wing for a better shot and get the TL. The build I am most intrigued by is the PTL/AC buiild is based around the idea that all of the actions defense. Corran can potentially do 2 of the following: arc dodge, focus or evade using PTL then do a green maneuver to drop the stress and regenerate a shield with R2D2 adding some additional endurance. Stealing the math from Bipolar Potter, https://community.fantasyflightgames.com/index.php?/topic/130731-hitevade-probabilities-ymmv/ Corran will average 3.025 evades versus a single attack with both an evade and focus, 2.125 with just an evade, 2.025 with just a focus and 1.125 without defensive tokens. Corran can also be used with other support ships with this build because he can fly in formation and utilize ships like Airen Cracken or Biggs to add action economy or additional endurance for through Bigg's heroic sacrifice. AC is better on a 2 attack ship but my thought Corran will stay in the fight longer if he can take defensive actions exclusively and still deal respectable damage with his double taps and potentially more with some lucky rolls. Thought and opinions are welcome. Corran Horn — E-Wing 35 Lone Wolf 2 Fire-Control System 2 R7-T1 3 Shield Upgrade 4 Corran Horn — E-Wing 35 Push the Limit 3 Accuracy Corrector 3 R2-D2 4 Shield Upgrade 4
  23. I get what you are saying and I haven't run the math go determine the hit probabilities. I was looking for ways to enhance the E wing's defense without sacrificing offensemand that was a thought.
  24. I have been looking at the accuracy corrector for Curran, 4 guaranteed hits when he double taps. His actions are reserved for defense. I have also looked at PTL so he can evade and focus for defense if necessary. If r2d2 is equipped the green maneuver to shed the PTL strss triggers him.
  25. This is one of my builds that I am tweeking. My thought was Corran can potentially focus and evade for defense using PTL, then R2 helps him be less predictable shedding stress. The B wing can either stress or damage the opponent and provide some endurance.
