  1. Why can't you engage bombers? There's no law that says you can't break cloak early. Also, that cloak action means that if your opponent has few fighters than you, you basically have a free black die battery you get to fly around the board and ships can't scare it off with their antisquadron armaments, or lock them down with fighters. In oherwords the cloak action takes the current rules for fighters and breaks them in half.
  2. Unless you play magic, where black is B and blue is U.
  3. It, uh, looks like a dong in the top view.
  4. I'm having a successful strategy where I take the generics and keep them turned to their named pilot so that I don't use the generics. That or leaving them in the box.
  5. ISD-I or ISD-II? And of course Demolisher got demolished, don't you know the odds of surviving a frontal assault against an imperial star destroyer?
  6. YOU CAN'T JUST DEATHSTAR AWAY ALL YOUR PROBLEMS!
  7. Oh wait, there's also that cyanide and happiness short with the barber shop quartet when the crash into a tree. OOoooooOOOoooo s**t.
  8. Solja boi, but instead of "u" go "zoooooooooooooom"
  9. You can only activate 1 squadron maybe 2.The Raiders get Expanded Hanger Bay or Boosted Comms and Tarkin Everyone gets Tarkin
  10. Except the raider. Have some evades! But no long range duce. Oh, you're dedicated anti-ship? Well, here's some black dice. You now have the shortest anti-fighter range, and a title that says squadrons MUST attack you if you get close. Oh and two dice is enough to stop the following squadrons:
  11. Ugh, am I going to have to buy four raiders?
  12. I'm just going to use my X wing raider. It looks close enough for now.
  13. What did he say? I've got nothing but static since he took off the antenna.
  14. Mine broke off, but just the tip on one. The other I'm taking great pains to keep it whole.
  15. I fully expect the Super Stsr destroyer to have more than four arcs, such as eight half-arcs you combine to make your shots. As for normal ships it seems unlikely because the maneuver tool requires a pair of faces that go straight, and there is established meaning to the terms sides, back, and front which would become nebulous if they changed the base or gave a ship an arc tbst covered the side and back. Or at 45 degrees on an octogon base.
  16. Cross-faction play is like the last on the list of "Reasons why Attack Wing got stupid." You really think so? I remember a lot of posters on BGG talking about how overpowered the Borg got with Fed Picard at the helm handing out ship actions that the Borg don't get normally. Even here, why would you go single-faction ever if you could take B-Wings and TIE Interceptors in the same list? Granted, virtually no playtesting and crapping out expansions faster than paint drying did a lot more to crash the game than this, but still, I don't think it was insignificant. And I think it's a bad idea for any FFG minis game. ...at least generally. It would be neat to see certain classes swap factions, like the Nebulon-Bs. In the Legends continuity it was the case, and the Empire has no analogue to that craft. Well, first there'd be a tax for rolling in out of faction ships, so things like b wings would get costly and remember the empire can do something like this now with Rhymer and Firesprays.Second, I know I said "all" but let me walk that back a bit. Obviously, luke wouldn't be ever in an empire list, but Neb-B's which were developed by the empire would have that option. Next, you explained it pretty well, it wasn't just that Piccard was giving out actions, it's that the game suffered from a lack of play testing and was released too fast. And there was that formula they used for pricing which didn't account for arcs and dials.

  18. I know triangles are the imperial's thing, but I would like more variety. OBLIGITORY: It's a civil war, all ships should be cross faction (for a price)
  19. Until they make a ship that can shoot on someone else's turn, Demolisher remains the best ship in the game.
  20. A ship throwing five dice isn't defensive.Just because it throws 5 dice does not mean it is aggressive. The amount of dice a ship throws is not a determinate of what a ship is designed for. You don't go aggressive with the MC80 do you? You can use it in a way that lets you be aggressive with it but you don't go "**** the torpedoes full speed ahead!" MC80 has the firing arcs of a VSD strapped to it's side. Of course I get aggressive with that. And unlike it's four hulled little brother I don't have to worry about making a mistake and getting one-shot'd. Try it out. Last time I used it aggressively, it ended pretty badly.Gotta get my hands on one first
