I can't find it either. That leavs two possibilities, either I heard it in one of the videos I've seen (Dice Tower and the twitch thingy that I can not bring my self to ever watch again) or my brain just made it up all on its own...
So take it with as much salt as you can get your hands on

I'd actually expect them to wait till the sequel trilogy is complete.  So much could happen in the next two movies, so many more characters could be introduced.  To do a version based on Ep7 alone would be a waste.  Wait till Ep9 hits, incorporate everything together, release Star Wars: Resistance.

While I'm never really in the market for Prequel Trilogy stuff, if this game is as good as it looks, I could be convinced to buy Star Wars: Clone War that would include elements from Ep1, 2, 3, and the clone wars cartoon.  Maybe title it Star Wars: Coup instead.  Then you'd have Coup, Rebellion, and Resistance.

Each version would need to be noticeably different though.  More so than just new sculpts, and pasting new pictures on the cards.  New goals, rules, etc would need to be put in place to fit the themes.

I've never considered keeping game notes on a board game before, but honestly, this could be pretty cool.  Between the missions, the hidden info elements, the bluffing, etc, you could end up with some interesting playthroughs.  Turning Leia to the darkside on turn 2.  Obi going for training with Yoda.  Fett leading the desperate defense of a planet under siege by the rebels and pulling off a victory due to pulling just the right cards.  Han taking out a star destroyer by himself.
Each game will be like rewriting the original trilogy.  Each game is a 'what if' scenario.

Have you played a round with her yet? She allows ships to resolve this defense token against fighters, and makes it far more useful in mid-close range scenarios. I'm already getting the feeling that she will make a huge deference for rebel fleets, WHEN she finally gets here.

CobaltWraith got a reaction from jme in Local Armada Groups
Hello all, this thread is for gathering together a list of any local gaming groups in one place to make them easier to find.
I've once again made a change to formatting due to the growing number of suggested stores without gaming groups attached to them. I have started a new thread here for those stores and will dedicate this thread to its original intent, which is to promote active gaming groups, not stores. Those will still be listed on the new thread if they get posted but this one will stay clutter free with active social gaming groups only. If you are interested in starting a social group for your area, that list may be a useful reference for you.
To help player find groups quickly, I've sorted by country, then state/province or at least area when given, then the name of the group. I've also indicated what type of page you'll be visiting when you click on the link in the parenthesis, so look for ( P ) for page, ( G ) for public group, ( C ) for closed group where members must ask to join, or ( S ) for website. Yes, I also think those indicators remind me of Tie Fighters. Appropriate don't you think?
I'll keep adding to this list as I see new posts, and I've given links to the original post in the thread. If that post contains additional useful information, I'll add an asterisk (*) just after the post number. As a new feature, I've also started adding information for the FLGS most commonly used by the group when I can find that information. Happy gaming, and may the force be with you.

CobaltWraith got a reaction from Darkblade113 in Only FFG's playmats are legal for tournament use!
It's not about distances for you, it's distances from a given position. You can pre-measure for your own movement, but the tournament rules specifically ban triangulating using two rulers. This is especially important with fighters if I want to land in just the right spot to say lock up two opponents fighters or to just barely avoid them and fire on an opposing ship. If I can't whip out a second ruler but I already know distanced between points on the map, there is a small chance I would have a massive advantage depending on where the battle was taking place on the mat.

Agreed with both Beatty and Gibarian. The tourney rules also say that mats don't have to be used, and that they suggest using play mats, felt, or a similar material. Honestly I feel like the official mat thing was an add in later, and will not be strictly enforced at the lower levels.

My thoughts are that since there is more estimating in this game and tournament rules outlaw using two rulers for triangulation, they've accounted for something I was already thinking of. If I bring my mat that I've played on, I may have already figured out how large certain images are of the distance between landmarks such as stars, so if we played on my mat I would have a serious advantage if ships/squadrons ended up in positions where I don't have to estimate triangulations because I already know exactly where to park my units to be in/out of range depending on my preference.

Has anyone else noticed a serious dearth of new information on wave 2? Maybe I've just missed it, but I'm not aware that any new info has been posted since the initial announcement. Have we gotten any other info anywhere else besides the usual spoiler pictures? If you are from FFG reading this, another article would be fantastic
