    It looks like FFG has delayed the release.  I thought it was going to come out in Q1 2021 and now it's delayed to Q2 2021...bummer.

    The art reminds me of the board game King of Tokyo which is a bit more cartoonish than we are used to in this fantasy genre. Personally I’m really excited to see a closer integration with the app because I felt a disconnect with the narrative because of all the time spent on complicated mechanics (LOS anyone?). With the app handling roll calculations as well as temporary % bonuses the game won’t get bogged down and will keep moving. It seemed to me as I watched the Live event that they made conscious decisions to keep the things that make the game fun in the hands of the players and pushed things that weren’t as fun to the app. Again, they really tried to balance the physical with the digital. 
     
    I would advise people who are skeptical to not make a decision until they have more information. It’s like buying a car that needs to be test driven before making a decision to buy.

    What is the future of Descent ...
    Will FFG ever produce the missing 12 Heroes from D1e for D2e?
    Will there be any further development for D2e (*** NOT *** for the app, but physical content)?
    Will there be a D3e?
    EDIT: Why is the D2e Quest Vault and its various issues, bugs, etc. completely ignored?  It started as BETA about 5+ years ago, and continues in that state today.  There would be far more community development for the game if the software simply worked.  There is already an extensive bug report thread for the vault, so all it takes is someone at FFG to pay attention.  If you don't want to maintain it anymore, would you be willing to provide access to the code, so that the community could host it and maintain it?

    Hi All,
    I would love to see the RtL app incorporate a LoS calculator.  The app already knows what map tiles exist and the 3D map is already clickable for tokens and doors.  The only information that the app needs is the source square and target square (or squares for large monsters) and any additional blocked squares.  My thought would be to enter a LoS Calculation mode where the user is prompted for the source, target and any blocked squares.  The app would then draw any successful LoS in green or a "No LoS" message if there is no LoS.  I understand that there can be exceptions with some class cards but this must be understood by the players.  This would be GREATLY helpful for those of us who find calculating LoS quite difficult depending on the situation.  What does everyone think?
