  1. I though you all might be interested in this. I wrote a program to randomly roll the dice in the way described in the book and examine the probability of success in each case. "Plus X" = number of positive dice being rolled "Minus X" = number of negative dice being rolled "Target = X" = Target number to roll (this number or less) I also included a table for the average amount of stress given a number of positive and negative dice. 2 possible issues: 1) I may have misunderstood the dice rolling rules. I wrote the program today after reading the book yesterday, and I loaned my book to a roommate, so I can't check the rules. 2) These numbers are not from rigorous mathematical calculation, they are from iterating the dice rolling 10,000 times for each situation. Given Poisson statistics, they should not be more than 1% off, though. Sorry for the terrible formatting. I hope the tables are legible. 2. In Salt Lake City here. I went to 2 stores which both said they got 1 book shipped in that morning but sold it by noon. I fortunately found a 3rd store with 2 copies. So far, it seems like they are selling fast!
  3. My understanding was that you roll a test check. Say your Vitality was X (and you had been injured nigh to death), you would roll X dice. If any were less than or equal to X, you survive (although you may wish you hadn't with the extra trauma!).
  4. maybe this will help with your issue with missing characters? Thanks! This looks good.
  5. Official Character Sheet now available here: http://www.fantasyflightgames.com/ffg_content/end-of-the-world/support/EW01_Character%20Sheet.pdf However, I already have a problem with it! For some reason, when I printed it out, a large number of characters were missing. "Physical" got turned into "Phys cal", "Willpower" into " illpo r", etc. The characters look fine on my screen, so I assume it is a problem with my printer, perhaps? Ideas?
