  1. I got the idea elsewhere of having every player get 1 xp for a kill, not just the person who fires the last shot. I think it will help lower PS players from getting discouraged when they can't build XP.
  2. My 4 year old grandson can play on a team or in Arturi Cluster. We give him options for generally what he wants to do, then set his dial and move his ships, then he rolls. Another year older and he will be able to move his ships himself. Right now he just can't reach well enough to not knock everything over.
  3. I have tried hand-held ones and found ultimately they are not accurate. I have a ryobi one that is the same idea as the black and decker one above. The ability to set it on the table for steady measurement is key. It actually changes the color of the arc on the ships' tile to yellow when it is perfectly aligned.
  4. I'm certainly seeing both of these. The first one if you're playing with a low number of players if even two are the same level SL becomes not real useful. We have found squad leader to be very valuable. My son can k-turn to drop in tight behind a ship and then I pass him an action so he can focus and blow it away. this has often been a great strategy for quickly dispatching key opponents. Wouldn't he be stressed, though? You can't take free actions while stressed. shoot. we may have been doing that wrong Though it's not a bad idea. Making the special version of Squad Leader be a free additional action and usable regardless of the condition of the ship being given the action would really help protect and buff the lower PS pilots in your squad.

  7. My son and I are loving the c-op play and have been promoting it to the local x-wing crowd. Disable sensor net - We beat this scenario by virtue of blasting together clockwise around the play area. We simply overshot the ties and outraced them as they k-turned, made sure we were never in range of more than one sensor, and focus fired on that sensor so it was destroyed before it could call for a patrol squad. We never fired on an imperial ship, no patrol squads were launched, and we barely got scuffed by imperial fire. low xp but an easy win. Good luck with the red dice helped to be sure. Capture refueling station- taking over the station seemed almost too easy. unload the team turn 3, blew a fuel pod turn 4, moved to center of station turn 5, destroy command center turn 6. Did we miss something here? were we supposed to clear the fuel pods before the command center? With good rolls you could take the command center in two turns after docking.
  8. Opinions on this? Must be PS6 to upgrade to E-wing
  9. Craft rivets work really well for the gun emplacements
  10. Thank you x 1000 for this great campain. my son and I have played a couple of rounds and love it. The AI is excellent. My only sadness is that my fave ship, he E-wing, is not in it, but I think I will have to cook up a card for it myself.
  11. In my Large/Huge ship case. It's a Mastercraft pick-&-pluck foam case. Metal exterior, cost $25
  12. The manufacturer of this paper recommends against micro-sol and advises to use lighter fluid. it's what I used and it worked perfectly. The one on the nose of the headhunter is about as small as you could reasonably see any detail on, and it worked perfectly. The ones of the panels of the tie sit totally smooth on the panel lines.

    Fun with Decals

If you want to add clean emblems or stripes to your ships printing your own custom decals is the way to go. This is what I used: http://www.modeltrainsoftware.com/decalpaper.html
