JJs Juggernaut vs Viktor Tanek (1st Player)
    Objective: Superior Positions
    357-58 (MoV 299)
    9-2 for JJs Juggernaut

Good game to Viktor. I was able to deploy in a way that kept both ISDs from getting in close quickly, and Bail was able to throw a wrench in the crucial turn of the game. I was also able to remove slicer tools the turn before the main engagement, swinging the activations in my favor and also kept my MC-75 with a squadron command to finish off Jerjerrod's ISD which had been taking damage from my squadrons already. After that Devastator disengaged and I killed the comms net flotilla.

@geek19 for the FART. I lost a GR-75 (Adar+BCC) and Coran Horn. I killed the Jerjerrod ISD (Avenger), both Gozantis, and earned 8 VP tokens.

JJs Juggernaut (1st Player) vs SpartanFury80
    Objective: Advanced Gunnery
    414-145 (MoV 269)
    9-2 for JJs Juggernaut

A good game to Bill. This being the first game we had played against each other, it was a slightly anticipated match up , though it was being played with a home field advantage for me as Bill is just getting started on Vassal (on a Mac no less...). I was outbid and given First Player. I chose the lesser of 3 evils and decided to risk Advanced Gunnery. I came in hot towards his MC80 but with some good maneuvering on Bill's part he was able to avoid me trapping him from moving and keep his AG side arc with XI7s on my MC75s side. I was able to get some damage in, but the MC75 went down. The second shot was one damage short of killing my full health Yavaris (shooting at the front) which would have tabled me. I was then able to use my squadrons to push some damage on the MC80 and also target multiple arcs for the next turn to avoid getting shut down by EWS. The Yavaris's double taps were just enough to bring the MC80 down with some hot rolls. Yavaris limped away on one hull and the squadrons mopped up some flotillas. A good game to Bill, we were having fun joking around on Discord. This one came down to a razors edge but just barely managed to swing my way.

@geek19 for the FART. I lost my MC75 and I killed the MC80, both GR-75s, and all the squads (3 VCX, 2 HWK).

JJs Juggernaut vs Dark_Helmet (1st Player)
    Objective: Fighter Ambush
    550-56 (MoV 400)
    10-1 for JJs Juggernaut

A good game to my opponent. In this fight I was able to use my activations to stall out Pryce and then on turn four trigger Bail for a huge squadron alpha to finish off a damaged Relentless. After my squadrons chewed through the imperial fighter screen they were able to chew down the ISD's in quick succession. Avenger missed a close range roll against my BCC flotilla, which not only let me get extra squadron damage in, but also pinned the ISD's moment in range of my squads for another turn. Not only that, but it hit an asteroid which was a projector misaligned thanks to Dodonna. Thanks to my opponent for being a great sport; we had a good time over Discord.

@geek19 for the FART. I lost two Y-wings and a GR-75 (BCC+Adar) and I killed both ISDS and all for imperial squadrons for the tabling. I had 10 VP tokens.

    @CaribbeanNinja I think that finishes round 1.

Scores finally updated in the first post in the thread. Sadly it seems this tournament came at a bad time and a number of the games were left unplayed. Luckily with only a few exceptions everyone got at least one game in, and since this was a very casual tournament I'll be happy enough with that.

Feel free to give some feedback on the format in this thread. I may consider running another one of these someday with tweaks, and when I have a little more time to focus on the administration.

Special Award to Pod 4 for finishing all of their games! ???

Just going to step in here an also mention it's best not to assume your opponent it out to cheat you. Hearing a bit of that tone in this thread and it's not what I've come to know from the Armada community at large.
Everyone makes mistakes, I've made illegal maneuvers before only to realize a couple seconds after the maneuver it was illegal, then I have to apologize take it back and do a legal one, it happens.

If I felt the edge in activations from Strategic Adviser would allow me to dictate the flow of the match I would set aside the MC30. At that point, I can set the MC30 in a safer raddus drop position and make my opponent move into it. If I already had activations advantage or was worried about the MC75 getting cornered I would Raddus it. If I had activation advantage that lets Admo get in and threaten targets as well.

    I'd go:
    World Championships
    Vassal World Cup
    European Championship
    North American Championship

While Vassal may be a different meta, the diversity of players from around the globe is what puts it above Euros in the list for me. Euros is definitely above NA Championship just based on size. Gen Con is usually limited to around 40 players.
So now I just need to find a way to travel out to Euros.....
