    I also like the variation on the imps, and the darker colorings of the pinkies and cacodemons.  I would like to see the other mancubus up close, personally, since it seems to have a very different color scheme from the one shown.

    They look great, and will add a lot to your games! I liked the imps very much, (the "3 clans" aproach is great) and the ravenant too...

    Greetings fellow initiates. If you are reading this then you have been elevated to Tier 2! You are now privy to the holy work we are performing here at the Lazarus studio. The UAC recently sent a reconnaissance team into the hell portal to map out the newly discovered Kadingir Sanctum. The entire reconnaissance team was killed to a man during the expedition, but fortunately we were able to extract the bodies back to the lab before closing the portal. Our scientist were able to return life to these bodies by infusing their flesh with argent energy. Here is one such specimen Alpha213

    Very similar to our story on the weekend. Revenant + Onslaught is particularly disquieting, especially if you've activated the argent ability too.
    That bottleneck at the top left the marines in a real pickle against a large volume of argent infused imps and a grumpy Mr Funnybones. The big thing that got me the win on mission 1 was the marines taking too long to move into the last room - an extra round of argent energy makes a not-insubstantial difference as it turns out. Revanants are rather more aggressive and sturdy than their old Doom boardgame equivalents, and this was noted with much consternation.

    I guess when I'm getting 37 high quality plastic models (not to mention a full playable game built around those minis) for $80, as well as six nicely made custom d6, the fact that I *sometimes* have to track results and re-roll dice (For the record, *MAYBE* 2-3 times per game so far) just doesn't strike me as a real problem.

    The very fact that I'd happily pay $90 for this game means I really don't mind shelling out a few bucks for some dice.

    Maybe I'm just used to being abused by SOME major miniature manufacturers, but the value in this box (and most boxes from FFG) is absurd, and I'm beyond pleased with how FFG treats its consumers.

    I mean, they don't include sleeves in the box either, and some (myself included) would argue that they are FAR more necessary than more dice, not to mention the required number of sleeve packs come in under $10 (and, frankly, you wind up with a bunch of unnecessary extras if you buy them in packs)

    Now to make them 100% pure demonic awesomeness, put some sand on the base with PVA glue, let it dry >24hrs then paint over it with heavily thinned brown paint. 
    Or paint them grey and add a few UAC symbols and stuff to make them look like they're on mars instead of hell. 
     
    Also so I started painting mine. The paint is chipping off. I used a regular primer from a hardware store. Are you having similar issues? If not, what's a good primer for FFG resin minies?

    You have the necessities covered. The rest would be based on preference. The Pyramids has 2 fun AOs and the final missing gate tokens for the main board. Dreamlands if you want something a little different. Carcossa if you are interested in Hastur or the investigators included. Strange Remnants is probably the best deal all around if you just want to dip. Otherwise just buy them all.

    Thanks for your source code Fenyx.  It's been helpful in getting me started on how to make the app, which is coming along nicely.  So far the biggest time sink has been writing the cards up ._. wish there was a card list for Eldritch.

    Reposting from my post on Board Game Geek:

    I just thought of something.
    For those of us who own the original doom, we can actually make scenarios out of both using either map pieces from the original (if you want a large map), or just pieces.

    You could make map objectives using the old game (to save from having to make custom pieces), and easily run map spawning specific to areas on the map, allowing from much deeper play sessions =D

    Not only that, but you could also bring back Key Cards using the original game, thanks to that actually being a thing.

    One of the things this game misses out on from the Doom 2016 video game is exploration, which is something we can easily add ourselves.

    Then I thought about it, and what if some maps have bosses specific to that map? You could easily add adjustments to a demon (or give choices by giving multiple for the Invader to choose from) as part of the map. Imagine giving an Imp 12 additional health, a glory kill rating of 11, one armor pip, and allowing its Charged Fireball to deal an extra black die instead of red. Heck, take the imp card, scan it, then add it to the map with your modifications.

    For those without the old game (which you don't need for bosses), hope isn't exactly lost. While the maps are all super squished together for the objective guide, that doesn't stop you making nice, large, spread out maps with some cunning. Also, you could still make use of pieces from other games you own.

    I'm really looking forward to seeing what people build from here, and I'm about to head upstairs to start messing with map configurations myself =D

    my friend who taught me how to paint also taught me that. a white background helps with light spreading and absorbtion. Helps light up a miniature without washing it out. and helps the minis colors pop out more.

    Generally it is easier at first for imperials. Beginning of the campaign both sides have to remember mission first. for rebels it isnt about killing. It's running and gunning while getting the job done. remind your rebels to learn to let go when it comes to making a run for the terminal or killing my last stormtrooper. every mission counts and over time those few losses at the beginning can snowball and set them back further down the campaign.
