  1. Seems a little bit of a vaguebooking post, my dude. Hard to get hyped off nothing. Ramp up the selling up!
  2. It's a direct link to the materials though, which doesn't point a person to the artist's page to find more of their works. Not without some extra work. And I still don't entirely get the context. Is it to show off your search results? Is it visuals you are using for your table? It feels about the same as me just making a bunch of single word posts, where you could say they are all topical and contextual because I use words like "computer" or "hacker" or "laser".
  3. I mean, this is cool art and all, but how come you don't credit any of the artists, or give context to the posts?
  4. One question. Why such a low strain threshold on the intellect hunter? They will be unconscious most situations with 1 bad roll. Have you compared these to other archetype examples in the book?

    Genesys OGL?

Its a long topic to read on my mobile, but I felt a need to add my 2 cents. We need some sort of official, blanket statement on this. Right now, all we know is there is supposedly no plans, and Freelancer writer Keith Kappel is getting special/preferential treatment being allowed to charge cash money for homebrew product. Yes, he has worked on the Stat Wars line for FFG, and I don't mind that part. What bothers me is as things stand, we have no statements as to what is allowed for everyone else. Genesys has been out long enough that we should have some sort of solid answer, and hopefully it is something that everyone wins. Right now it's just a bitter taste that one contract worker gets special treatment.

    Player Locator

    Canada, Kamloops, BC.
  7. Similar boat but android phone. Also seems a non-working file.
  8. I remember joking about this at my last session when I picked up the demo spec. Surprisingly, I used about 2000 creds of detonite before ever putting ranks into Mechanics, having 2 Int, or even having the demo-spec, and didn't lose any fingers, or party members...and helped speed up a mining process.
  9. I know I never post much, but do read through many of the topics. Sad to see you leave if you're making it permanent. Hopefully some time away helps recharge you and you come back. It's always good to have another view point on things and continue discussion and debate. I know what is being talked about with the pettiness and the childishness. Whether you return, or stay away, all the best to you!
  10. The selfies/pictures idea is great. Especially if he goes about bringing out the albums like a family member would at a gathering. "...and this is the trando I killed in Nal Hutta, because he made fun of my repulsor fist..."
  11. This is how I read that, also. No where does it state that adding cortosis to a weapon gives it the sunder property.
  12. This is what I would try to convince a group to use, if I were the pilot.
  13. Clawdite. Jawa. And if I were a betting man, the Jawa is probably going to be announced in the Technician splat (as others have said). My hope is that maybe Clawdite will show up in the Bounty Hunter splat, when that is finally announced.
  14. We're currently getting snow here in my neck of the woods. Was worried it'd be a brown/green Christmas.
  15. Firstly, thank you! I like this level of nitty gritty detail with the right group, especially as a player. I don't forsee this fitting with my current group that I run, mostly as they're relative newbs to the system and RPGs in general, so I like to keep things simpler, at least while they're getting comfortable with the system. While killing time at work here, I noticed a couple of mis-spellings, but I'm getting calls just frequently enough to not have any noted down yet. Nothing world ending, but if I catch them again, I'll PM you the edits.
  16. I was under the impression the next up was a Rogue Squadron, then Ep 8, and a possible Boba Fett movie as well? But then, I did read it on the internet.
  17. Boxing Day? That's Canadian, isn't it? Yes. If my British wife isn't lying to me, it's also celebrated in England.
  18. I haven't picked up the book yet, I'm mostly basing this on what everyone has said here, but the armor crafting rules are one of the biggest reasons I want to get this book (I'm only holding off because there are a couple of suspicious looking presents under my tree that are splat book shaped). The new species, and force powers sound good too, even the tonfa lightsaber, but at the end of the day, being able to make a personal set of armor, even if it is an investment, just sounds great. Another personal touch to attach you to the character. Another item to make a hook if it ever gets stolen. And so on. I really hope it's Keeping the Peace under the tree... or I'll be rushing to my LGS on Boxing Day.
  19. And if the cookie doesn't work? Maybe try a six-pack.
  20. I can see how this has potential to be exploited. But with the time/cost factors, it is as DarthGM said, very easy to inflict ways to make it harder, or not quite as beneficial. Now that said, walking through this, the initial buy in cost just to get the checks down to simple, would lead me to think there's a multitude of ways in game to dissuade, and "punish" for trying to become an assembly line. One lone person buying up a lot of particular materials is certainly going to get some attention, and likely none of the good kind. Whether you want to twist it as Imperial involvement, or a crime syndicate knocking on your door to make you do this for them, with various threats involved, and so on. I think for most parties, you're probably better off just cranking out the armour, and moving on with things.
  21. I noticed it hasn't been mentioned yet, but Jewel of Yavin was pretty fun for my group. Before I told them we were to run it, I made sure to watch an Ocean's ## movie or two with my wife, and then kind of snuck it into conversation about our next gaming night that we'd be doing an adventure like that. My group is only my wife and sister (our LGS only does war games and hardly supports the RPG system), so it took tweaking on the fly, but we made it work beautifully. I have found that FFG pre-gen adventures are a good quality, there's a few details I would perhaps enjoy being laid out slightly differently, but everything I needed was right there. They had fun by the time we ended, and had we continued on with those characters, they would have likely enjoyed the fruits of the labour. Up until this game, I was usually a player in other systems (D&D/Pathfinder, nWoD, Shadowrun), so though I've been around lots of GMing, it's been nice to get something pre-made while I find my footing better in the system and unleash a proper story on them. Plus, depending how I set things up, I can still slide these in if I just couldn't be creative in time for the next game.
  22. Oh. My. God. You have changed my world. How did I never notice that before?!
  23. As you mentioned 0 is the bottom, at least there is no indication that it goes any lower in the RAW, just as 100 is the upper limit. There is a reason for this and that is if you allow going beyond these limits both Falling and Redemption could end up being nearly impossible within the scale of the system. Best to avoid this. As to to your question though, I use the old WEG SW carrot and stick which is if you reach 0 Morality your PC is mine and is now an NPC villain. A Player has plenty of warning, and opportunity to redeem themselves once they fall under 30 Morality so I see no reason to bother giving them further mechanical opportunities. It hasn't actually happened in my game but if it did I would allow a narrative opportunity if the Player really wants to redeem their PC. If it's compelling I'll grant them a few Morality points and their PC back, the rest will be up to them. I get where you're coming from on this. My understanding is the D20/Saga edition was the same thing with going to the dark side. Personally, I don't agree with such actions as the immediate answer (exceptions being the player, perhaps). I wouldn't be against my players playing dark aligned characters, for a multitude of reasons. The dark side is the easy path, and that can lead to interesting stories for the character, and the players. Especially if the rest of the ground were not so inclined to fall to that path, either as force users themselves, or even just criminals.
