  1. Would be nice to know as well.  I'm flying out there on the Tuesday until Sunday to grab as much of the atmosphere as i can whilst i'm not playing in any side events or the IA tourney.

    It would be nice to see what the local area has to offer as wel.


  2. Someone said on the Destiny page that the TZ in the us has advanced by an hr over the weekend, so the difference was only 5 hrs and not 6 when I checked last week. If I had logged on 15 mins earlier I would of had a ticket.

    Only logged on as I saw your post so thought I would check.


  3. Google the tz difference last Friday and it said cdt was 6hr behind gmt.

    At least I got my IA ticket and didn't wait until 6pm.

     

    Its the only system to of sold out as well :(


  4. Maybe offset the small rows so that the middle and top ones could be lower by a couple of mm. This lowers the 3 large ones. 2 of the large ones could be rotated by 90 degrees to make space for a large one to fit in the space created, maybe making room for a massive to squeeze in.

     


  5. it was ruled that if you used BT to make the Nexu 'sentient' so it could interact with a mission objective for example (not opening a door), then it dropped the objective as it was no longer 'sentient' This was over a year ago.  Has this now changed, as the activation phase for deployment cards ends when they are readied in the Status Phase before end of round effects are carried out.

    Just reread the card on the Rancor and it says the trained ability lasts during this Round.

    So when part 3 of the Status Phase kicks in which is 'End of Round Effects' which includes mission rules and players resolving command cards then trained has ended due to the name of part 3. End of Round Effects, this means that the 'Round' has finished otherwise you can not play any cards or mission objectives as the round is still being played.

    End of Round counts as a single activation, for the purposes of crazy abilities like Jundland Terror and Opportunistic.  It's been ruled that you cannot do something like:
    1) Jundland Terror, end movement on figures
    2) Ferocity with some other figure to attack something else, deal damage
    3) Play Opportunistic on the Bantha to move it again

    Since the Bantha already ended movement on figures in step 1 during end of round, it cannot move again during end of round.

     

     

    End of round is not an activation according to the Skirmish Guide as that falls within the 'Status Phase' which is after the 'Activation Phase'

     It's been ruled that you cannot do something like:

    3) Play Opportunistic on the Bantha to move it again

    Where has this been ruled as I cant find it in the latest FAQ?

    As each one has been from a different card and different (activations of) figures, I see nothing wrong with this.


  7. Interesting, as I would of said you lose the 2nd die at the end of round.

    This would be because I would class this ability the same as the Beast Tamer ability to make 'non-sentient' creatures 'sentient'.

    It was ruled that the 'sentient' ability is lost when the end of round effects come into play as they can no longer control terminals etc.  Does this now mean the designers were wrong about the BT card ability,  if the 'Trained' ability is allowed past the end of round???  It would make a difference to the Nexu etc in some lists if they can now contest terminals and mission objectives.


  8. I will be looking at other games being played and getting into (Hopefully) a few side events as well. Would be good if the swiss went into 2 days then the cut at dinner. Then have the cut in the afternoon/evening.

    Not been before so no idea on how it works so will have to wait and see.

    Just don't want 1 day of swiss and 1 day of side events if both systems happen to clash with timings. Unless some miracle happens and I actually make the cut. :)

    Im just going there to play against new people, gain some ideas about play styles etc and take in the whole atmosphere that is on offer.

    Temp Alliance
    Targeting Comp (HK)
    Unshakable
    Last Resort (Bantha)

    I have seen how good Shyla Varad and Vinto Hreeda have been along with the Elite Gamorreans during the last Regional. Black Market looked good but never considered it. It would replace Last Resort with the damage going onto Jabba 

    So my question is, What would you amend to the list above to fit in 1 or more of these Deployment/Upgrade cards?

    As not having been there before, are there side events and other things to do. Maybe look around the HQ and see where the 'magic' happens? Seems like I may be there from the 2nd to the 8th so having other things to take in (at the event or in the surrounding area) after I get KO'd after the swiss would be nice. :)

    Nothing easier than  adding VP's every time a model is removed from the board. If it is killed again. More VP's as it is 'removed from the board'

     

    'Reinforcemens' isn't 'nerfed' by this as you can still use the extra figure to attack and gain objectives to help you win.
