  1. haha thanks! I was thinking 5 minutes per Planning Phase should be sufficient
  2. Plus, I just realized that we were playing slightly incorrectly. We thought that during consolidate power step, if you controlled a spot on the board that had a printed CROWN icon that you received one power token. I realize now that is incorrect. That made it so that people received more power than needed and may have altered some things.
  3. haha yeah I guess we have at least one guy in our group that takes forever to make decisions. Of course he usually wins...
  4. I love this game but the group of guys that play board/card games with every week never want to play because it takes so long. They always say, we need to plot out a Saturday and play that game but we never do. I don't see why it should be a problem but would it make sense to change the end of game round from 10 to a lower number just to make the game not as long? What would a good End Game Round Number be to accommodate for a 2-3 hour game instead of 4-6 hours. I'm thinking 7 rounds. Seven Kingdoms, Seven gods and Seven Victory points wins the game so maybe playing up to Seven rounds would work. Any ideas?
  5. Does anyone have a decent deck list I could construct a House Greyjoy a from KOTS expansion so it would work playing against the other core set decks? I have taken out the other kings that came with the expansion (Robert, Joffrey, Robb, viserys, etc...). So out of the cards that came with this expansion, which should I duplicate to have the same number of cards that each core set house deck has and is "decently" balanced? I know it won't be perfect but I'm just trying to make due with what I've got. Also I just want to note that I know that my core set does not include 60 cards so I would need to match the number of cards with the KOTS expansion with the core set House Decks.
  6. That's true... I don't know why I didn't mention it there.

  8. I have been looking at how to construct the decks. I am getting the Princes of the Sun expansion as well. I will have : 1 Core Set 1 Kings of Sea Expansion 1 Princes of the Sun Expansion I noticed there were other House cards in these expansions. Should I put those cards with the other Houses I have for the Core set. Basically I just want it so if I want to play a four player game with my friends we are not having to sift through all the cards and build their own decks every time.
  9. So for me and my friends who are not playing competitively, if I have the core set and the grey joy expansion, how would be the best way to play? It would seem unfair to use multiple cards from the Greyjoy expansion while the other coreset "decks" don't have as many cards.
  10. I just purchased this expansion and am curious why it comes with three identical decks of cards. I'm assuming it's so 1) 3 players can play the Kingmoot multiplayer with all Greyjoy decks and 2) to be able to add other cards to the other House decks I have in the core set. Am I right in assuming these things?
  11. thank you sWiteboy for clarifying that. I must have missed that somewhere in the rule book.
  12. haha yeah the game gets intense sometimes and the distinction/fine line between characters and players becomes VERY thin...
  13. I also have a question about this plot card. If I have a duplicate under my unique character and Valar Morghulis plot is played, does it kill "ALL" the characters even the duplicates? The duplicate is to save the unique card from being killed so do these two effects contradict or am I just reading too much into it?
  14. The text for this card reads: " Challenges: While attached character is participating in a challenge, kneel and discard Ice from play (cannot be saved) to choose and kill another participating character." So I just played my first game of AGOT LCG last night and I was playing as House Stark. This card came up but the text is a bit confusing to me. Maybe I'm reading too much into it but I have a few questions: 1. This card is an attachment. Do attachments "normally" have to bee knelt to be used. This card says to kneel and discard Ice from play. Does that mean that ex. you challenge with Eddard Stark in a military challenge and have Ice has an attachment. Your opponent chooses his defender. Then you just kneel and discard Ice to kill that player. Is that how it works? 2. What (cannot be saved)? Is the Ice card removed from the game or does it mean that the opposing player cannot do anything about being killed? Or does the Ice card just go in the discard pile? 3. In the example I gave earlier with Eddard and the opposing player chose 1 defender. If I choose to use Ice and kill that player, does that mean that I am now unopposed since he is not defending with anyone or would the challenge be completed first then the Ice card effect takes place afterward?
