oh. That's a bummer.

For anyone who hasn't looked at the x wing page, the new points have been listed today, but I haven't found any major changes. Granted, I probably haven't spent enough time looking over it and don't remember a lot of the old point values.
Anyone see any exciting changes or tweaks?
Any new builds open up?

Han Solo at his best ?

Just now, Cgriffith said:Yes, it gives you the cards, NOT THE TOKENS
Yeah, I was agreeing with you. They really snubbed us on the tokens...

ummm... the wikis for the rebel and scum conversion kits? and I was reading the cards at home?

it's under the illicit upgrades section...

There you go. 6 debris tokens.

It's quite simple. You just run away and drop cargo as you go. Got some cheeky interceptor on your tail? Just drop a bunch of cargo in front of his face and throw 4 red die at em!

I personally find this extremely ironic and hilarious that Han is flying around with Jabba the Hutt, literally dumping his cargo all over the map.
-
So, I was looking at Scum Han and thinking "How can I increase the consistency of Han's ability to fire obstructed shots?" An thus, I came up with this monstrosity:
Han Solo (The Corellian Kid)
-Trick Shot
-Rigged Cargo Chute
-Jabba The Hutt
That's right, you can litter the map with 5 debris clouds. You should be able to get an obstructed shot with 11 obstacles on the field.
You can even add in Ablative Plating and Lando's Falcon Title with an Outer Rim Pioneer for more obstacle shenanigans.
Fill in the rest of the list for taste.
What do you think? Cheeky Jank? or Viable Scum tactic? Is littering the new scum Meta?

Endor all the way. Such a beauty. It has all the right proportions too.

1 minute ago, SuperMarino said:I'm calling it now, the epic May the Fourth event with 3 Star Wars games all converging on the battle of Endor. Armada with the Rebels vs the SSD, Imperial Assault (or Legion) to shut down the shield generator, and finally X-Wing to blow up the Death Star. Outcome from the first two games can influence the final one. Rebels losing Armada makes more TIEs or whatever spawn in X-Wing, and not taking out the shield generator increases the damage the Death Star core will need to take. Winner takes the galaxy, you know, until the sequel trilogy.
Oh man. That sounds amazing.

I noticed in the brand new FFG squad builder, if you go under variants they have a Battle of Yavin button. It lists a Deluxe Wave 1 Kit Thematic Event that is supposed relive the death star attack with only ships from that movie.
Oh man. This confirms Thematic Events.
That sounds really exciting to me. I wonder if will be a kit they sell to stores or a kit for individuals. It would be really cool if it included a Deathstar trench playmat and some turbolaser towers.
I wonder what other kinds of Thematic kits they will have as well. Endor? Scarif?
Organized Play is definitely headed in the right direction, going beyond 200 pt deathmatches.
Did FFG already confirm this? or did the App just give us a teaser?

Hopefully landing him right where Soontir plans to go. He is then able to shoot soontir with a modded range 1 shot while soontir only gets 2 green dice and can not shoot back. Thats just good fun.
I keep going back to this Arvel build as it looks amazing, and ridiculously fun. He can either set up as a Blocker for Higher PS, or a Hunter of equal or lower PS and the best part is that if he does block or bump, most ships cannot shoot back. (maybe only another Arvel or Oicunn)

9 minutes ago, JJ48 said:But since I already have my cards out anyway, why duplicate the information?
Because most of the time, I don't build my list until I get to game night, and paper printouts are much easier to read than a phone screen.
Also, being perfectly honest, I find it much faster to find information on printouts than digitally, if the information is well-organized. (For instance, I tend to be able to lookup Bible verses in a physical text FAR faster than with an app.)
I agree. I find Paper and Physical products are simply superior to digital products. Whether it be Bibles, Books or Board Games. There's something about having a physical copy that makes it easier to understand and enriches the experience.

From Fail, pg11
"• If a red action fails, the ship does not gain a stress token."
Oops. I totally missed that. Thanks!

Wouldn't failing a red action still give you a stress? or does that only happen then you complete a red action? The Rules Reference is a bit unclear about that.

25 minutes ago, thespaceinvader said:Yes, this could absolutely happen.
New Direct Hits and Fuel Leaks are WAY worse than the old Direct Hit.
Maaaan I really hope Rexler Brath is in this game with his old ability fully intact.
Pilot Leebo might be a good option to counter? lol

Just now, thespaceinvader said:Not to mention if you have two crits to deal with and the first is Fuel Leak, the second will trigger the Fuel Leak.
oof. yeah between fuel leaks and Console fires, it could be a bad day for the Decimator or Falcon.
