I think im going to get Marksmanship out of mothballs for vader now. With Advanced Targeting Computer you get a high chance of 2 crits per turn.

Advanced Targeting Computer specifies Primary Attack.... I thought the same thing at first.

Makes sense fluff wise. Ion cannons are designed to short out your all you systems, so no ammount of techno-trickery can stop them.

In a furball, I would absolutly run Biggs, just to see how quick he dies.

I've been running the super dash build; Dash w/ PTL, HLC, Outrider title, Kyle Katarn crew, Engine Upgrade Its clocks in at 58 pts, but gets 3 actions per turn with the free evade from Kyle. Its an absolute monster, but I cant settle on what to use with the remaining 42pts. I have tried 2 Rookies, 2 Prototype pilots w/ proton rockets, and Chewbacca, but have yet to settle on my support for Dash.

One thing you have to understand about us americans. Our favorite passtime is being outraged on behalf of someone who doesn't even realise that they should be outraged. Any random american has a much more finely tune moral outrage sensor than just about anyone else in the world. I once played a game with 750pts per side, it was my whole collection at the time. Was great fun, but took 9 hours to play:) Imps won the game, but Wedge killed about a dozen ships single handed.

I've been running Cracken with VI, along side Wedge. Its pretty brutal. Usually throw in 2 Talas and either Biggs or Tarn with R7. I've had great success with it, Wedge shoots with focus and TL every turn, just nasty.

This is a list that I created with the idea of being as annoying and tricksy as possible. Omicron Group Pilot x3 Sensor Jammer Ion Cannon Intelligence Agent Tactician Anti-pursuit Lasers Doesn't have the greatest record, but its fun to fly regardless.

I would put the captive on the decimator, that 0 agility tends to attract alot of fire, and its hard to beat the good old doomshuttle for vader. This looks like it would be fun to try, but the limited firepower means you would really have to concentrate you fire all on one ship. With the increased arcs of the bounty hunter and patrol leader that would be fairly easy to do. Just point the shuttle at what you want to kill. With the shuttle firing 3rd you should strip shields off your target for maximum vader carnage.

Ive been running something very similar. 58pt superdash and bare bones chewie quite effectivly. Dash w/PtL, HLC, Kyle, Outrider, EU Ive had pretty good sucess so far. Ptl, EU dash is stupid maneuverable, and chewie is really tough.

Love the concepts, especially the strafing run. That one is very cool. Just one comment on Banes ability though, I cant think of any way to aquire an evade token before the perform action step, much less before revealing dials since he doesn't have access to advanced sensors. Perhaps something along the lines of allowing him a free evade action when performing green maneuvers or something like that.

I love the new x-wing design, but I still love the old one as well. If forced to choose between the two I would probably stick with the old one, simply out of nostalgia, but both are awsome in my opinion.

I would like to see an aces type exspansion with the X-wing and Tie-Advanced. The advanced needs help and I would like for the x-wing to get some love, still want to see the Rogue Squadron Pilots similar to the royal guard tie.

Thats why I like it on wedge. He really doesnt need an ept to be effective.

I have run it to great sucess on Wedge. Helps prevent being blocked, and if he gets on someones tail, he stays there for 2 turns. Thats just brutal with Wedge.

Best ship is kinda subjective based on your playstyle, but its hard to beat the firepower, agility, and speed of the interceptor.

Khyros' article about Tycho pretty much proved he can clutch better than Fel. True, unless you like imps better.

Hard to vote against Baron Soontir Fel. He's very clutch.

Very cool. I have used magnets on my 40k models extensivly and have been thinking of something like this for xwing. I really love the ball joints, thats a very cool idea, I think im gonna have to try that.

I ran this list as a bit of a lark, but it performed remarkably well. Prototype Pilot - Proton Rockets X 5 I matched up against what I though was going to be my toughest matchup a 7 tie swarm. I started off going slow to see what the swarm was up too. Then since i moved first I went full speed forward with 2 awings and slightly less with the rest. The front 2 awings managed to cause a pileup and most ties got no actions. I weathered the shooting without losing any ships, but one of the rear awings did have to burn focus to survive (3 eyeballs) so no prockets for him. My return fire a procket one shotted Dark Curse (since you dont have to spend the focus to shoot), the other procket killed a Black squadron tie. With the numbers evened it became a chaotic dogfight, but I used my speed (with boosts) to hit and run, slowly thinning out the swarm. I found that having those prockets late in the battle causes your opponent to forget them, though I did lose an awing with his rockets unfired. The end result was 3 awings left to no ties. This list was much better than I thought it would be and it was really fun to play.

I think isard is designed for such situations. You were just unfortunate to be stressed. That said I dont think the decimator dial has enough green to run PTL.

I thought my collection of about 1000pts per side was big... Seriously though I could see this happening to me if I had more money to spend. Every time I see a ship on the shelf at my FLGS I have to fight the urge to buy them.... sometimes I still fail tho...
