  1. Daft Question #2 i can answer: In the past (X-wing Nationals in 2015 and regionals in 2016) I had to buy an Expo pass (Single day =£13, 2 day = £22 or 3 day = £28) and then buy an entry ticket for the event on top. On the Expo website they list these prices as 1 day miniatures tournaments =£8 and 2 day =£16 but this does not specify if it is the European Championships for FFG or just "other" miniature tournaments. Here is the link if you want to look: http://www.ukgamesexpo.co.uk/tickets.php
  2. I would book now, the hotel I normally stay in for the EXPO is fully booked and we have had to relocate to a different one. All the hotels in the immediate vicinity are full or nearly full.
  3. Its at the NEC, not the ICC. It is also part of the Games Expo, and i go to that every year, so this is perfect
  4. Defense tokens for me, I bought loads of these and they have replaced all of my cardboard tokens. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/282124503947?_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT
  5. I second all of that, great day but you are right we need to miss each other in the next tournament
  6. Advice taken, H9's are on the MC-30's. I had to downgrade a corvette to a B with SW-7's and loose 1 yt2400. So we will see how it goes
  7. Really excited for this, we have a road trip coming down from Huddersfield, the only unfortunate thing is that they are all X-wing players and I am the only Armada player. Gink, those ships look awesome, I can wait to destroy them I am planning on playing in a load of side events on Sunday so I look forward to getting some games against as many people as possible. I will be running some MC-30s, I just can decide if they need H9's on them and if they do what do I get rid of to have them.
  8. An ISD I, Raider I and Ozzel is 174 pts! Exactly what I was looking at Gonna be crapping yourself when I run: Corvette A - TurboLaser Reroute Circuits - Dodonna Corvette A - TurboLaser Reroute Circuits Nebulon Support - Salvation Corvette A - TurboLaser Reroute Circuits No H9 Turbolasers?
  9. So looking at the article and the other photos that have surfaced we know we are going to get the following: Named Squadron X-Wing Biggs Rogue Y-Wing A-Wing Shara Bey B-Wing Dagger TIE/LN Black TIE/IN Ciena Ree TIE/SA TIE/x1 So what are your guesses for the others and their abilities? My guesses are: Gold Squadron for the Y-Wings with an extra blue dice for anti ship armament Ten Numb for the B-Wing and gains the rogue ability TIE/SA Captain Jonus with re-rolls against ships
  10. So I can clearly see a new space station obstacle and two very large piles of squadron sized cards. Is this where we get Lando in a Falcon, Porkins in an X-wing etc. No new ships though, just new ways of using existing ones?
  11. I zoomed in and it looks like a bump to me, but only by a couple of pixels.
  12. I went super cheesy and tried to recreate as much of the Battle of Endor as I could get in a list. So Ackbar has to lead the assault, no questions, and he must do that from Home One. He will get support from the GR-75 with repair crews and Redemption (which was the medical frigate being targeted by the imperials during the battle) Finally Liberty is there pushing Lando (well a YT-1300, but i can pretend) and the rest of the squadrons (I could not fit a Y-wing in ) Once Liberty has positioned the squadrons she then can attack from either the front (3 red and 4 blue) with gunnery teams or with Ackbar from the sides (4 red and 1 blue) with gunnery teams and Raymus providing the re-roll from the spamming of concentrate fire commands from turn 4 onwards. I am not sure how competitive it would be but it would feel like the Battle of Endor. Commander: Admiral Ackbar Assault Objective: Advanced Gunnery Defense Objective: Hyperspace Assault Navigation Objective: Superior Positions [ flagship ] MC80 Command Cruiser (106 points) - Admiral Ackbar ( 38 points) - Home One ( 7 points) = 151 total ship cost GR-75 Medium Transports (18 points) - Repair Crews ( 4 points) = 22 total ship cost Nebulon-B Support Refit (51 points) - Redemption ( 8 points) = 59 total ship cost MC80 Star Cruiser (96 points) - Liberty ( 3 points) - Raymus Antilles ( 7 points) - Gunnery Team ( 7 points) - Fighter Coordination Team ( 3 points) = 116 total ship cost 1 B-Wing Squadron ( 14 points) 1 A-Wing Squadron ( 11 points) 1 X-Wing Squadron ( 13 points) 1 YT-1300 ( 13 points)
  13. I have a Spring Kit tournament on Saturday, so three games of Armada for me this weekend.
