  1. That is what I had meant with the game (the last part). So when I'm far enough (aka 100% sure I would like to use the System for the game) I will have to contact FFG then and talk it out with them directly. tnx
  2. For me it was mostly if the rules per se allow the selling of software that uses Genesys rules. Or if I need to ask FFG if they approve. With your answer I understand I need to contact FFG there and ask them for permission. tnx
  3. Just earlier this day I found out about the foundry. What I'm curious about there is: As nothing explicitely is stated in regards of computer programs or including ones own foundry entry also in a computer game, I guess that is prohibited (except if one gets into contact with FFG and gets a direct approval there from them) ?
  4. Originally it was planed that only the boarding team and an escort are there as they got the "jedi" already and are only making "clean ship". The players will find on board that the guy was headed to a different planet to find a secret location and the guy that took him mentoined the same location. The transport was only planed as a first "nemesis" to make them run and show them they cant solve everything with firepower alone.
  5. The assault gunboats are they much in use by the empire? and are they not stronger than 2 ties? or am I mistaking things? The gozanti is cool tnx! that should fit the bill quite good (and the players are meant to flee from it anyway when it appears )
  6. Hi I'm currently designing an adventure for my players. In essence it starts with them going on the hunt for a man who holds knowledge they seek. They hear that he is travelling on the Estelle (a CV90 passenger transport) towards a planet and fly their themselves. On the way they overhear an emergency call by the Estelle that they are attacked. The plan is that an inquisitor also wanted the knowledge of the man and used a vindicator heavy cruiser to fly there, board the ship and take the man. The vindicator shall be gone by the time the players arrive, but a few ties and 1 lambda shuttle are still there as they are not sure if allies of the man are coming or not. And to round up the last survivors to see if anyone they need alive is still on the ship before they blow it up. Now my problem is that tie fighters are not known for their ability to operate alone. So another ship would be needed to transport them and here I'm at a loss a bit. The question is here: What type of ship would be suited for getting the ties and the last lambda and jump to the destination of the cruiser? (the players only have shilouette 3 ships themselves so they can fight 1-2 ties without problem but not a whole cruiser or full carrier).
  7. I'm running Windows Defender and Windows Firewall and have had no issue. Other than that, I don't know of anything in Windows that would block a download. Maybe it's your browser? no I have downloaded it normally and unzipped it. Then I tried to run it. Screenshot: http://i.imgur.com/GTsZjli.png?1 Translation: windows smartscreen blocked it as it sees it as an unknown app. That's part of Internet Explorer 9. You can probably change the settings to allow the file (it more than likely blocks anything called "setup.exe"), or try another browser. Sure about it? I mean I have downloaded the manual install and unzipepd it and tried to start SWCharGen.exe locally on my hard drive when that popped up? (default browser is chrome) http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/internet-explorer/products/ie-9/features/smartscreen-filter Internet Explorer, being a Microsoft product, tends to weave its web into all sorts of places that normal browsers don't Yepp asked on stackoverflow though if that is a normal behaviour of smart screen (as I never had it acting up before ^^'): http://superuser.com/questions/1035276/should-windows-smart-screen-block-also-files-on-the-hard-drive In essence like you mentioned. Its just that this nice little microsoft product is in places it shouldn't be in in the first place^^ tnx

  10. IF it was my virus scanner I would get it but why does WINDOWS block that verison?
  11. It's the nature of heuristic analysis. It's meant to find new threats, but it's not always reliable and is susceptible to false positives. More than likely, the launcher isn't deleted, but in quarantine. You might be able to take it back out. Something is up though the manual install: First time ever windows 10 says that it blocked the application as its not save to launch it (version before was ok)
