  1. yeah your right book depository is a lot cheap. The one thing, idk if youd know this but how much would shipping be to the us? Where does the company ship from? also how reliable is the site? all the sets are really really cheap, but i just wanna make sure im buy sets and not throwing away money. are they just getting rid of their lotr lcg stock or something? lol you might not know all the answers to those qs, sorry for asking so many.
  2. so basically i usually only buy sets on ebay or amazon just because it is a lot cheaper, but i'm unsure whether its a good idea to not buy the saga quests in order. currently the flame of the west is significantly cheaper than any other sagas (btw i only own black riders). Should i just buy and play flame of the west, or just wait? the road darkens is currently ridiculously expensive.
  3. do people think saga quests are any good? Is it worth going for over the normal cycles?
  4. hey seastan this is a fantastic idea! do you maybe wanna do it again? I would love to join, if you do do it again that is.
  5. that would be great! wednesday's work pretty well i think! I will actually be busy for the next week or so but the one after that will likely work! Thatd be a lot of fun! Ill shoot you a message when it works!
  6. Just wondering if anyone plays this game anywhere around knoxville. Itd be great to meet and play if you do!
  7. ok so heres the thing bout starting this game with just the core set. Just look at the basic abilities and stats of heroes. all decks are based on heroes. I personally think that you should just choose the most OP heroes and then the most op cards that fit with those spheres. I would start with Aragorn and eyown cuz they are both really strong. the third hero can be one of many. Anyway thats at least a start. Also good beginner tips: You have a 50 card deck which may seem hard, but not if you use three spheres. There is nothing wrong with this. Also even though there is just one Gandalf in each beginner deck that does not mean you cant use three of him in one deck. Also the leadership card sneak attack plus gandalf is perhaps the most op combo in the game. Other cards like steward of gondor or unexpected courage are really really strong. and just have fun. Trust me, it took me three tries to first beat the first quest. hope it works out
  8. tbh I really like good quests better than good cards. that doesn't mean i dont like player cards though. I enjoy overpowered combos as well as creative deck ideas. Strong player cards and a lot of combat is what it comes down to. leadership is my favorite sphere followed by probably tactics.
  9. dude yeah you are one of the names i remember from when i used to be active on this site. i actually really loved this community as well as this game. really just needed a break. the game play was getting old and i had overplayed many of the quests. but its good to be back.
  10. hey yall, so basically i got into the game bout 4ish years ago and really enjoyed it! unfortunately, i kinda got burned out a bit and got tired of spending all my money on cards, especially since i started about a year and a half after the game did. anyway, im thinking about getting back into the game but really dont know where to start. like i say the last pack i bought was one of the ring makers sets. I don't know what to buy if i buy anything, and it also doesn't help that since apparently this game became popular while i was gone, everything cost about 50% more than when i left. anyway, what packs are good, worth buying or have good player cards. I have sets most of the way through ring makers cycle as well as saga through black riders pack. Thanks fam, missed you a lot!
  11. Mitch, just wanted to let you know Im so glad you've come back. I started to play the game around when you left and your videos were honestly what inspired me to love this game as much as I do. I will be closely following your videos closely and once more cannot express in words how glad I am that you're coming back to play lotr lcg! You're the best!
  12. thx, seastan. Yah, I wasn't really sure whether it would work but I thought I'd give it a try.
  13. ok so I have some friends coming over tonight and I think we're going to play lotr lcg! I've not been on the forum for a long time if any of you remember me cause a) I've been really busy and b) Im not rich and can't afford all the new sets which is what most of the descussion is about. But anyway, I have all the quests through druadan forest in the normal cycle as well as assault on Osgiliath, voice of Isengard, trouble at tharbard, the Nin-in-eilph and the antlered crown as well as all the saga through black riders. I kept buying new quests but kinda got fed up of paying lots of money. Anyway, there are four of us and I have no idea what to do when it comes to decks. I kinda tried to build some but they weren't creative or powerful. I don't need anything really incredible, I don't need to use all my card pool, and I can somewhat reforge a deck that has a few cards from later pool, but I really want some good decks that are pretty strong and not too complecated cause my friends have never played before. I was also thinking we would play the seventh level, although Im not quite decided. Its lots of combat, not to hard, and pretty fun four player. Any comment would be helpful. If not, thats fine. Im also going to try to come back more often and comment more. well anyway, thanks, yall are the best, and I've really missed this community the last months.
