  1. I feel Mindlink would of been a more juices option had it of included evade tokens. This would of encouraged, to some degree at least, Syck pilots to emerge to offer other ships "free" evade tokens.

Other than that, I really like everything this wave is offering and welcome all the new ships.

I do feel that the Ghost is DOA and Dengar is two waves too late however.

You like the wave but think the two biggest game-changing ships in the Wave are DOA and too late?

You must be liking the Inquisitor's TIE a heck of a lot more than me! Though I am loving the G-1A a lot also.

  2. I was thinking about this the other day and while I have only watched the movie once I recall Finn (that Traitor!) firing at a target ahead of the Tie.

Sure he was facing backwards but I recall the Target being in front of the tie when it fired it's payload, along with multiple options for shooting that Poe quickly explains.

I would probably expect that the end result being that a TIE/SF is just a Crew Slot on the TIE/FO body, maybe a missile slot as well?

    But no rear firing arc.

Allows for Gunner (effectively what Finn was in that scene) and adds some utility to Ties that they don't currently have.

That looks Transformers 80s box art as ****!

Oh man, I had forgotten all about those dinosaur transformers. Awesome.

Transformers box art was always awesome as anything, and always in space. Where is the box art now? Where is my epic battle scenes that demand tha Metal and head banging?

Oh, I guess FFG found it.

I just noticed that the green guy has a cement truck for a leg

    I hope you don't find that image...Devastating!

A lightsaber is a tool, it's not a magic wand. It can save a life or take a life, it's a symbol of authority, but it shouldn't be magic talisman

    Well, I disagree.

It's not a police badge. This is a universe where a type of magic exists. And these objects are specific to those who use that magic. Obviously the objects would have some connection to that magic.

I do obviously agree that Jedi being portrayed as an order of peaceful monks, while their symbol is a weapon is contradictory. So is them serving as general in the galactic army, etc. But, at the end of the day, these are still action movies. So their philosophical wizards also have to be warriors.

Not really seeing that, it is definitely tied the the mysticsm of the Jedi but they are not the only ones who can use it, but they are the only ones who can use it well.

Get a regular pleb to swing it around and you are going to chop a lot of limbs off, awesome. But it is implied, possibly flat out said, that you need Jedi reflexes/precog to be able to deflect the blaster bolts or to last long in a lightsaber vs lightsaber fight.

I do see it a great learning experience for the Jedi though, if you give them a saber they are going to be chuffed and over excited. Make them go through perilous trials and exacting tribulations to make their own, well there is a far greater lesson to be learned there.

Do you teach the youngling about responsibility and the importance of care of their weapon...or do you give them a bunch of pixie sticks and a pistol?

  5. I was actually impressed with the recent eps (watched the clone double ep and the introduction to the Inquisitors)

I like having the reveal to Ezra the fall out of Order 66 and having Rex come in at the end, though Wolf's treachery was a little easily forgiven in my eyes.

Letting Zeb have a moment was nice, shows that the muscle doesn't have to be a goon all the time. I loved the "I don't want to die like this, I am the last of my kind." complaint when he was stuck in the vent.

  6. I really like the card, and concept interests me but I am not getting into it entirely.

I think it might be my feeling that certain pilots fly certain ships better.

Take the beloved Han, he is 9 in the Falcon, a ship he has customised and flown countless times. I would have no problem thinking he would only be a PS 5 or 6 in a Lambda Shuttle due to the lack of experience and differences from his normal ride. Still close to Top of the Class but not Best in the 'Verse like when he is in his pancake.

Same with Luke trying to fly the MF. I can imagine him crunching multiple docking bays and cursing that it doesn't handle like his X-Wing.

  7. What madness is this?

Ran a K-Wing Warden at a recent event, Extra munitioned Proximity and Cluster mines and Advance SLAM and Bombadier. Not going to lie, it was a hefty build.

The amount of things a low PS pilot can hurt/kill with an action is amazing. The Highlight was definitely taking out a cloaked PS 9 Phantom with a beautiful 2-Turn SLAM 2-Turn Mine Drop, hit it with two of the three templates and the Phantom went BOOM!

This is definitely no something I would expect every time, but I am still loving the pants off of Clusters.

  8. Say yet another poster who has 59 posts.

Geez, apparently I'm not very good at this game guys.  I just spend all my time talking about complicated nuances like blocking all the time with the long amount of time I've spent playing this game.  hmm.  ad hom plz.

Does this satisfy your need to be quoted?

What is the hang up you have with post numbers? The number of posts has very little to do with if what the post says is accurate or relevant? Hell Joe Boss whatever has probably got about 100 posts of him just putting in his "Bad Post/Thread" little images but that doesn't make him automatically more credible than someone who has less than 100 posts but makes a good point.

As far as I can see and recall, there wasn't this much hoo-haa over the S-Loop when it came out, just some excitement that the Starviper and Brobots got a sweet new move that shook things up.

I personally see this as the same sort of maneuver, but ending in a different facing. I am more than willing to accept the side facing allow half a barrel-roll's worth of movement makes it a tiny bit easier if you are trying to skirt around a ship/obstacle but not to the level of dislike I am getting from your posts. Like where you end your post with all caps "STUPID", oh hang on, you prefer to be quoted...

    STUPID!

In your full post, oh better quote that if I am going to make an honest go on that.

I hate it.  Now had it played against me:

Its really dumb.  Trying to block the new ships is nearly impossible with so many options.

Also the amount of variance on the talon roll ending is partciularly dumb and forgiving.  All the segnors and kturns are exact. You fail it, face the wrong way with a stress.  VERY VERY unforgiving.  The talon roll on the other hand is particularly easy, AND with two direction options, in case your primary k-turn spot is blocked.  The k-turn is also easier to block cuz it comes from a head on engagement.

    STUPID!

Here, you mention that there are too many options to block someone. But they have more or less the same amount of maneuvers that other ships have so that is more or less the same, with the exception of 2 that give you a couple of mm of wiggle room should you wish it. At the cost of a stress...which probably makes you a little more predictable in that following turn.

In my opinion blocking shouldn't just be a case of "Oh, s/he is going to be here, how do I get a ship there?" but more of a case of "S/He is probably going to be going here, how do I make that work for me and not them, while covering my butt if they actually end up taking that other likely option instead. I don't think they will take that option, so I will leave it uncovered to focus down on this angle."

T-Rolls add a complexity to the game which I am totally behind. I just cannot get my head around why you dislike it so much. And honestly after your continued posts about it, I don't think you can explain your position any better than you already have so I am unlikely to be able to have my mind changed. I am happy to agree to disagree on this and call it quits.

  9. Yeah, I don't understand Blail's objection to the T-Roll, well at least not the strength he voices it with. I am looking forward to having more ships with it (hopefully a scummer here and there) as it gives another option, and I also like the combination of K-Turn and S-Loop or T-Roll on the same dial. It gives a couple of options and makes people think about the options.

Think how predictable the Defender is once it gets in a furball, always flipping back and forth on their White K-Turns, now you need to out think your opponent with a T-70 in if they are going to K-Turn OR T-Roll and how am you going to react (something other than shouting "suck my turret" and not caring about positioning)

  10. ...what is a dollar doughnut?......is it a baker dozen?!

Dollars to donuts, it is an expression to say "I really believe this will happen".

Pretty much it is "I will give you X dollars if it doesn't happen but you have to give me x donuts if it does." sort of wager.

  11. as the resident expert on all things K, the K-wing sucks for TLT except for Miranda

5 points for all the benefits of the K-wing is a wild rip-off if you're looking for a turret. The K-wing is a mine layer first and foremost, anything else can be done far more efficiently by any other ship. It is horrendously priced to be a straight attacker, I'm talking pre-fix Tie Advance bad (if not worse)

Wha? I agree that K-Wings are great Mine-Layers and have gotten me into actually using Bombs and Mines but when you set up that great mine drop you needed to sabotage that Phantom/etc but left yourself well out of the way for everything else why wouldn't you want a nice TLT shot afterwards to add insult to injury?
