  1. Sorry Stevepop, I didn't do the multiquote correctly from JoshuaBelden. I have organized play in my area. But I have a similar situation with everything else...
  2. Thanks nungunz, great name by the way. So far I've narrowed down a bunch of cards that I am interested in for a runner deck. Chaos Theory Crypsis Breach Corroder Yog.0 Pipeline Overmind Femme Fatale Gordian Blade Dinosaurus Akamatsu Mem Chip Notoritey The Maker's Eye Test Run Tinkering Personal Workshop Oracle May Armitage Codebusting Liberated Account Rabbit Hole Parasite Cyberfeeder Muresh Bodysuit Datasucker The Toolbox Bug Others that are interesting Access to Globalsec Grimoire Desperado Ice Carver PUblic Sympathy Kati Jones Power Nap Planned Assault Demolition Run Running Interference Gingerbread
  3. I love the setting and the mechanics that I'm unfortunately unable to grok at any sort of competitive level. I've purchased everything possible up to the Lunar Cycle, but there's this nagging issue I've been unable to articulate over the last few months. Why am I spending all this money on cards that largely just sit in a box while I fumble with the most basic of mechanics and beg friends to play with me? There's no organized play in my area and only a handful of friends that are uneager to get monetarily involved into another non-MTG card game. I'm in the same boat minus having all the data packs... Hang in there
  4. Thank you CommissarFeesh I like your thinking
  5. mtg player trying to learn Deck Building with mtg you can pick up a fat pack and put together 60 cards 24 lands 18 creatures (two copies of any given creature) 18 instant/sorcery (two copies of instant/sorcery) and you can get by with a successful deck. What is a typical realm where a runner deck can be successful? rx programs ry resources rz events r(x +y +z) = 40 What is a typical realm where a corp deck can be successful? cx ice cy events I'll define success as "working in general, not necessarily winning, but not failing" Good article by the way... why-netrunner-matters http://killscreendaily.com/articles/why-netrunner-matters/
  6. Wow, that took a lot longer to dig out the cards and try to get back into the game then I thought. But I'm going to take another stab at learning this game. Bought the latest data pack. Grimwalker, this is an excellent article. http://killscreendaily.com/articles/why-netrunner-matters/
  7. So we have... Creation and Control Honor and Profit Order and Chaos Cease and Desist What is the next expansion set going to be called?
  8. I had said I was done with the pissing contest and had then asked you, because you seem intelligent on some level, what factions you play etc... And you didn't have a response in anyway. Except for a week later to try to piss a little further beyond your own perspective over my perspective commenting on xsdogstar this or that... Alsciende is a true runner. Alsciende 1 FFG 1
  9. Same here. I was to be considering myself to be a new player and trying to learn the game and this crap was too much. The loss of a decent site, the loss of the cyberdeck on the phone. Momentum killer. Then having some opinions here and having the famous Grimwalker countering every opinion here on the C&D site, trying to win back hearts and minds. Too much.
  10. Everyone... I have found the broken logic with the Grimwalkerinki argument... His ill logic is this - WotC finds out FFG diluted copyright then blowback on FFG xsDogstar logic is this (and well ilk spouted) WotC does allow sites (such as mtgvault and tappedout.net) to have deckbuilding using copyright material. WotC does not C&D these sites. WotC does C&D sites that try to play the game, acknowledging the table basis. Therefore - WotC would not blowback on FFG for the same community reasons that they don't on mtg sites. The FFG attempt at vertical integration of all things netrunner to include deckbuilding (through cardgamedb) may have been the sole motivation cause of the C&D. I talked with two ANR players today at the gaming shop who were "table"playing ANR and said that the closure of netrunnerdb was bullsh*t. And to try...Acoo.net At acoo.net, they establish copyright and " want to thanks Netrunnerdb.com for its great API and Scans. All Android:Netrunner texts and images are © Fantasy Flight Games" So will you also C&D acoo.net??????????????? Questions. Comments. Short debates.

  12. ((Moving the post from the wrong thread, thank you Grimwalker... I realized the double negative within the title... I didn't see a thread where one could disagree with the event.))) My points still stand. To have an audience that is immersed in cyber, you have to be immersed as well. And provide the same tools. Why? to grow your business by having players become immersed. It is a good game mechanic. The artwork is excellent and I realize the importance of the copyright. The original netrunner is no more because it didn't have the technology to support the players. Now it exists. I would be talking with OCTGN and cleaning up his interface to make it easier to use and host it right on FFG. neetrunnerdb was really good and useful to help learn this game. If you don't have money, then run a kickstarter campaign. You need to wake up. And see the opportunity here. Envision selling electronic cards... etc... I'm not angry, just a bit disappointed. There is a steep learning curve on the game and not a lot of resources, and even fewer now.
  13. Long term mtg player and decided to try netrunner. Finding OCTGN is the main reason that I've pursued playing and learning the game. Then I find netrunnerdb and it's also helpful. So I went and bought about half of the datasets so far. Then I found Cyberdeck on my Android (pun intended) phone Google Play which I was using to browse the cards and learn the cards, learn the game... So then you trash netrunnerdb which trashes Cyberdeck What's next OCTGN... then you've lost a player. Since you've trashed netrunnerdb and the community that it had. And Cyberdeck and the small community that it had. FFG should have to at least provide the same type of resources... Netrunnerdb was gaining you a following and you've shut that down... If they were printing t-shirts and selling fake cards then sure you go after them.. You should have offered that kid a job and made it an official site of FFG... It's easy to break things and that is all most people can think of... And for this supposed to be a cyberpunk game and you shut down a cyberpunk feel site. I would have never done that. You should be sucking up to that site and saying that you can work together... link to it and sell t-shirts and cards and grab corporate information.
