A big part of a campaign is the items you draw/buy. I don't like the min/maxing aspect that comes with knowing "after this mission I can buy the xx-gun, so I wont spend cash here". By have a greater assortment of possible item draws you make players weight their desicion making even more. "Well, this gun looks good, but after next mission we get tier II items". It makes for more interesting choices and a more varied gameplay when characters dont always build the same way

What are you guys thoughts on the new Threat missions?

I had reeally hoped to play Twin Shadows this Augst, beginning to look pretty grim

Can't wait to field this guy in campaign. He might not be the best unit and me might require some fiddling to his value out of, but he's so cool

I would count them as two different abilities (with the same name). Since you only use each ability once I believe it is a perfectly legal move.

You can use two different special actions in the same turn, you just can't use the same special action twice

From Rules Reference p.5, Under "Steps of an Attack - Rerolls":

The special rule for Vader is when Vader is attacked, cleave is not attacking Vader

Would you be able tto use Upclose and Personnal and then Final Stand? That would be alot of action for one turn. Suporvisorry agent is pretty strong in the early missions where threat is low. The new tier1 weapons seems kinda weak don't they? If the Gaffistick really an upgrade over Diala's stick or Gaarkhans axe? The rifle seems better if you have a steady supply of surge. The mini campaign seems great a one-day gaming session. Often it's hard to find player to meet regularly with and this campaign is great way to compensate that.

The Tech Goggles are also a HUGE improvement for Saska.
