I actually have an Armada-specific video coming out tomorrow morning about this... since so many people are constantly asking me about the Clone Wars.  I've just figured it'd be easier to have a video going over that topic, plus everything we learned from this AMA - but boiled down to an Armada only version.

    - 200pts Fleets.
    - 67pts max squadrons (1/3pts)
    - No Admirals.
    - 4 games (1hour 15mins each)
Thank you for everyone who attended today. Good to see an even split of 4 Imperial and 4 Rebel fleets and not an ISD in sight. not much in the way of squads. Most people just taking 1-3  squads. All played on 3x3 tables.
    Congrats on the place getters.
1st Shane Fletcher, 27pts, 348MoV, 2x Gladiator (no demo title)
    2nd Christopher Nicol, 25pts, 283MoV, 2x Nebulon-B.

We had more than 2 years figuring the current meta.
And what do we get winning the last major tournament ?
    - A tier 3 Admiral who's been considered average since wave 1
    - 4 DIFFERENT combat ships and no transport support (in a 2 activation vs. 6 activation metaworld ... supposedly.) Also, with a low upgrade commitment.
    - a 'mid-point' squadron component with a base of X-wings.

Another stunning example of the richness of the Armada meta !
At the point where we are, there is NO SHIP that I would be surprised seeing in the winning list of a major tournament. Which other game can say that, especially in a meta we had all the time to study ?
The two new biggies + SSD will be super welcome anyway, but let's one last time praise how awesomely diverse the current meta has been.

FWIW, they did say in the Q&A bit that they have these at the show - so...we'll see some in the display cases, next to other Armada ships.
Hopefully we've got someone on the scene to take some nice high-res shots (and it appears @Crabbok is indeed there and filming), and we can gauge how it looks next to the other ships in physical form, vs these renders.

If somebody manages to fly their SSD off the far side of the table I’ll give them a cookie.

For bigger games, I’d go wider and not deeper. Deeper just means you take an extra 1-2 turns to start shooting.

Would having a bigger play area not mean that the enemy being farther away means they are potentially in your front arc for longer. Being a disadvantage? Also making slower ships, Victory, pelta, Bwings, etc more out of the fight for longer? As they have to travel farther.

I should probably rephrase my comment, I plan on mostly/only using my SSD in 600+ point games and therefore will want to use a bigger table. If I was using it in a 400 point game I would use a normal sized table.

Maybe fleet commands that revolve around the use of defensive tokens rather then orders. Spend a defensive token to gain this defensive addition. For example.
