  1. I never bought the story of the Tector class. The only scene with it pretty much seems to be a normal SD.
  2. My personal idea is that the GM should be the master giving the apprentices missions with the goal that once a certain level is reached, the "No killing each other" rule goes out the window.
  3. May I suggest having the GM make a "Character" and be the Master with both PC's being apprentices vying for his attention. The game ends once a set EXP cap is hit then the two PC's are free to try to kill each other during the next few sessions.
  4. I think folks don't really grasp how much of the EU stuff has seeped out into general Star Wars awareness. I think many people currently involved in the creation of Star Wars content are well versed in things EU. Yup. Dave Filoni of Rebels and The Clone Wars fame also wrote KOTOR. He tried to get Revan in to TCW as a sith spirit but the old George himself wouldn't allow it. I'm sure they're going to be canonising things they like/wrote themselves/grew up with. James Luceno (who's Darth Palageus novel is now non-cannon) carried over a few of the details to the cannon Lords of the Sith book semi-canonising his previous non-canon book Too many canons... Correction, Lucas was all for Revan and Bane showing up but just before filming thought that those force ghosts didn't really add anything to the story. True. It was still GL's decision that ultimately pulled the scene though. Bane made it into the final cut That's true. However I think Lucas made the right call in regards to the episode and cutting the Sith Lords. In regards to Bane, he looked fantastic in that episode.

  6. Yup, they make an appearance in a new Rebels preview. Now mind you, they're not the EXACT same size as the KOTOR or SWTOR variants, but it's a nice throw back and could give the Empire AND Rebels a fun new ship.
  7. I sadly must inform you all my decision to cancel the tournament due to lack of players (I was informed I would have only 2 at maximum). I do apologize for the inconvenience
  8. You have no idea how much I hate you and love you right now.
  9. I would let a player have a light saber IF they are willing to give up the possibility of extra Credits/XP and give up all other equipment and credits they start with (Minus a Slug Pistol they will auto receive too). This forces the character into a Spartan way of playing, and I will make it clear that using said weapon in public will draw upon many unfriendly faces. Also said light saber will be a basic one from FaD. Basically, if you want a glow stick, you need to be a burden for the other people in the group.
  10. Hello folks, I am pleased to announce I am running a tournament on July the 11th, 2015 starting at 10 am. https://www.facebook.com/events/855323401228119/ The entry fee is $10. Standard tournament rules apply and is at 300 points (Whether Wave 2 is out or not). Please have your lists ready for the day. You can also email me your lists at: benjaminwoolcock.bw@gmail.com I am looking forward to running it, i hope you have fun
  11. "All" the prequel hate? If my memory is correct, there was only one post that said they didn't want prequel stuff in general (and two that didn't want Clone Wars stuff.) It was my post. The reason is that, in addition to prequel tech being hideously out of date, I do hate the prequels. They were absolutely terrible movies in every metric (except for revenue generation, and visual effects, which were out of hand.) You are welcome to a different opinion, but that's why I hate the prequels. To say they were terrible in every way minus certain points is an awfully subjective claim since many people don't share that opinion. However, this particular topic is not for this thread.
  12. That list is a good start. Have you seen Plinkett's reviews? Plinkett over exaggerates his reviews. A guy over on the theforce.net did a complete rebuttal of many of his points. But, when it comes to one point that I hate being used, it's the the "Over used CGI" schtick. The prequels used more practical effects than the original trilogy. If I recall correctly, RotS used more than the OT combined. CGI hate also seems to be a "trendy" thing. Now, on the Battledroid speech part. Only RotS did that. I didn't like it but I see why army robots would have that voice. Point being prequel hate has some justifications, but saying "I don't want ANY prequel ship in MY game" is really pathetic.
  13. I would rather see a 40k cross over in Armada designed by GW themselves than have the Vong.
