Woohoo finally managed to beat Journey Along the Anduin. A Hill Troll was my final enemy but managed to overcome him nevertheless.

Cold day in **** will be when i disgrace my game with those horrible erratas.
I guess it was good choice to stop applying them after Will of the West atrocity.
What card says is what i do, no more, no less.

They're at 11am on Tuesdays and 4pm on Thursdays, CST. The only place I know that they have announced that is in the other Twitch streams, and probably on Twitter too.

I wanted to let you know that I read through everything and I'm glad players like you are around.  I couldn't ever conceive of a deck like this - and honestly would NOT try to play it, but it's great for our game that players like you are always innovating.

    edit:  NOT

How about, while Bilbo Baggins has at least one song attachment he gains +2 willpower and does not exhaust to commit to the quest.
Action: Add a song attachment from Bilbo to the victory display to give Bilbo +2 defense (until the end of the phase).
He would retain the same base stats and threat of his Lore version

Being a hobbit he has access to Fast Hitch which makes using his ability plus stats much easier. Off the top of my head I think using him with Gimli and Song of Mocking could be the most fun combo. Bilbo defends some attacks Gimli takes the damage and then Attacks multiple times with Bilbo's readying effect.

I really want a Song based hero and I really want a new version of Bilbo. So why not combine them? Perhaps it would be preferable to have a Song hero in Lore, but spirit has plenty of Songs, and there is already a Lore Bilbo. I wonder if this Bilbo's readying effect might be too good if it's always able to target Gandalf or some other heavy hitter. But that seems thematically appropriate.

From the FAQ:: (1.37) Timing of effect resolution
When resolving multiple effects with a shared condition, players should use this order of resolution: passive abilities first, Forced effects second, Response actions third. When determining the order of effect resolution among abilities within those categories, players should first resolve abilities that use the word “when” and then resolve abilities with the word “after”
So it's pretty clear the Raid Leader resource loss (being Forced) happens before the Mablung resource gain, ehich is only a Response.
And even if the Mablung resource gain were also Forced it would still be second due to the when/after tiebreaker.

If a Forced and  Response effect have the same trigger, the Forced effect triggers first.

I'm not sure if there's an distinction between "when" and "after" here, but either there is no distinction and the above rule works in your favour, or there is a distinction that means the Raid Leader's effect goes first anyway.

I believe you are correct. Since Raid Leader says "when ..." and Mablung says "after ..." I'm pretty sure that Raid Leader would trigger first.

Forced: When 3 shadow cards are in play, Thaurdir attacks the first player, deals an additional shadow card to each enemy in play, heals 3 damage from each enemy, and jumps the shark.

If that had been outlined as the official criteria for this championship, that would be a fair complaint.  But here's the official criteria:

Vote for your favorite hero as they enter their match-ups in the responses below. Vote on whatever criteria you desire - this is very informal.

I'm voting for Santa Theoden all the way, because it's Christmas.  And by the ground rules given, that's an equally valid criteria as yours.

If you enjoy art then Binder for sure. Sometimes I will just sit down and flip through my binders looking at the amazing art in both the player and encounter cards (as I binder my encounter sets as well). It is hard to sit back and enjoy the card art of some nasty goblin or Treachery in game as I am just trying to survive.

For Shadow and Flame, I had a Boromir Aragorn (Lore) deck with OHAUH Gandalf that smashed. The third hero was Bilbo for card draw but now would be Erestor.

You are right, he is not mandatory as this is a casual co-operative game and we can all chose to play as we wish with whatever heroes we wish. If this game was competitive though you would have to make a pretty sound argument why not to run him as he is one of the most powerful heroes in the game. I  take issue with the original comment that any deck using Spirit Glorfindel is automatically dismissed, some decks absolutely need his low threat (Gandalf, Elrond, Spirit Glorfindel for example).  I myself don't use him in every deck but when I do sleeve him up I don't want to be shamed into putting him into the binder because other posters think he should be banned and is boring to play or whatever.

Don't like a card? Just don't build with it.   The group I play with hasn't used Glorfindel in at least 6 months and he hasn't been missed.  However, complaining about a card like him being used to often would be like complaining Ally Gandalf is in every deck.    Subsequently, we haven't been using him either since my trap deck uses Hero Gandalf.  Anyways, I don't think Glorfindel is broken.  Powerful, sure, but his little 3 attack isn't going to do much without weapons. and he still won't do much without ranged.  And I'm sure the tactics player wants to put those things on his own guys first.

I agree with the sentiment that Asfaloth is part of what makes Glorfindel so ubiquitous, but it can't be just Asfaloth--otherwise we'd see the in-sphere Corefindel pretty often too. I think Spirit Glorfindel single-handedly solves so many problems all at once: low threat, high attack, high willpower, Asfaloth, easy readying through LoV, in-sphere access to Elrond's Counsel... Whatever you're missing, Spirit Glorfindel can provide it. He's the most splashable hero, so we see him everywhere.

@JTG81, since you plan on keeping Gandalf around, you could put the pipe in to protect a card each turn and his staff to add some additional flexibility/options per turn.

Erestor, Elrond, Hirluin might be good, or trade Elrond for another leadership so you can first turn Steward onto Hirluin.

Yeah, playing during the Ring Maker cycle kept some of the card draw away at first. The Ents are particularly strong but in my mind are anti synergistic with Vilya as they would still be exhausted when they enter play. I usually play Elrond for his healing prowess as I love me some healing and combined with Wellinghall Preserver and Warden of healing, I can deal with most of the direct damage the encounter deck is throwing at me.
