Awesome stuff!

Going clear as well. We've got a laser cutter at school so I've just pumped out enough for my copy and my friends.

<<<Opinion starts here>>>
What if in his off-hand he were holding a communicator of some kind, or holding a holo-transmitter, or some other communications device?
I'll have to dig into the bitz box, but that's not a bad idea...

One modification, one custom build. Both WiP.
The modification is Gideon Argus. I despised the original sculpt. It had a drunken disgraced soldier feel to it, the Macrobinoculars looked like a flask and his gun was... strange. So I decided to make him a touch more... aggressive. I like the look

The custom build is a Jedi. Making him look like a SW:ToR Jedi Guardian, but most likely with twin blades. The bluetac is for guide purposes, obviously...

He's next to the Royal Guard for size comparison.
Work starts tomorrow on Stormtroopers and E-Webs...

We're starting the campaign tomorrow and my character is Jyn Odan. I figured that it's always better to be painted than not so I spent a couple of hours painting her up. These game pieces are not painter friendly, and it felt like I was pushing a boulder uphill... Still, happy enough with how it turned out. Orange is an interesting colour to paint...I've removed her gun and replaced it with another. While the detail is OK, the gun and hand on mine was shocking. It was a bubbly mess, so I snipped the wrist and gave her a cybernetic hand as well... I like the gun better as well, as it was she was trying to be a Solo ripoff.

And now for something different... I know there's another section, but this is my painting one so I'm putting it in both

Love the thread and I just want to add that an Airbrush is great for making long jobs right quick.
20 minutes of airbrushing and I was done with all my Space flight stands.
Listen to sco77y, he knows his stuff. I was a trial by error guy, wish this was around before I started using my Airbrush

Consistency of milk. Use water, or if you're a very hot dry place thinning retarder. It's a practice thing.

My story: Make it look like the rebel alliance is fighting a vastly superior force in both numbers and human resources. Make it look like the rebel alliance is more concerned with how their starfighters act rather than look

I'm worried that blue might mess with the colours already in use? Still worst happens I go over it again in black... Might give it a whirl...

Thanks oneway.
Alrighty, finished. At the end I changed the grey to a lighter shade, but only on some of the wing panels. This is because the heavy charcoal is to close to the black of the canopy. Overall I'm quite happy, Next will be a B-Wing to see if works as well. I'm OK with the engine glow, but without a visual representation of the output it looks a little weird...All CC welcome

Yes, the white streaking is intentional. My attempt at weathering

Alrighty, rather than start a new thread for everything I paint from now on I'm going to stick them all in this thread... It's not just going to be for finished stuff as well. I'll be putting up my WiP's and asking for help, I need as much as possible.
I know my stuff isn't professional level, but I enjoy painting; any and all constructive criticism is most welcome!

So here's my current WiP. I started it today, I've only painted Imperial stuff to date, so this was quite different. I also decided not to use my airbrush as I did for the imperials. I started it as a test miniature, to pick the right colours more than anything. I was using an airbrush paint to do this light stuff, but it didn't work to well with a brush...
About 80% done at this point. Paints used: Vallejo Game Stonewall Grey, Goblin Green. Extraopaque Heavy Charcoal and Game Ink Sepia. Also used Vallejo Sepia Wash.
Any advice would be awesome

Mould lines are bad, plus they're harder than normal to take off. The plastic itself isnt very defined; which is why some of the minis have required modding, such as Jyn's pistol.
Overall they've made these game pieces, and that's OK, but from a painters PoV they're just hard to deal with...
