So I like to test decks to see what things pop up and what answers you can come up with.
Yes I know, it screams NEEEERRRRRDDDDD! but it's what I have done since I learned chess.
Anywho, I like using a particular deck to first test a deck in a 2 out of 3 format.

It's hyper trolling but it works well in coming up with answers and how long can those answers last

Robin Graves reacted to twinstarbmc in What do you need from the starter?
A lot of folks will say you don't need anything out of the starter. And technically, that's true. In the starter you get:
2 fixed learner decks 2 random "real" decks tokens learn-to-play guide (NOT official rules reference) So, if you really really want FFG's cardboard tokens and Stun cards and +1 Power cards, then pick up a starter. If you have other ways to represent these things, then use those. If you want to use some fancy acrylic tokens you bought on Etsy, then do that.

Robin Graves reacted to Bwiley1 in Decided to magnetize my chain tracker card
I bought some actual little plastic chain links to use for chains, putting it on my deck like that as well.

But figured as an alternative to magnetize my tracker card once I thought of it.

Robin Graves reacted to Bwiley1 in Decided to magnetize my chain tracker card
Took a refrigerator magnet and glued it to the back of the card.  Small magnet button on front with a gem glued on to track the chains.
I just put the card in a card sleeve and it covers up the magnet on the back and protects to front from scratches when sliding the magnet marker.
Put it on top of my deck to remind me of the chains and the marker doesn't slide unless I purposefully move it.

Bad Penny has so many ways she can be great. Very far from the worst card in the game.
    Worst card: EMP Blast
Always an anti-synergy card (since it stuns the creatures it comes with) and more often than not, hurts you just as much if not more than your opponent just to try and play it for amber.
Too many "best" cards to pick though.

Well, maybe this is not the case exactly.  I did find that of all decks with "Adm." in the name(nickname or otherwise) 139 of the total 142 had Logos.  Certain words do seem to be tied to certain houses pretty strongly even if not 100%.

Robin Graves reacted to Mud Turkey 13 in Deck "nicknames" are tied to certain houses.
I was messing around with the deck search at keyforge-compendium.com, and I realized that all the decks with the same nickname(a name set off in apostrophies) all include a specific house.
For example, I first searched the nickname "Boom Boom," and every deck nicknamed "Boom Boom" has Brobnar in it.  I thought that was interesting, so I tried the other two nicknames that I have with decks and they worked the same way.  Decks nicknamed "Husky" have Untamed and decks nicknamed "Whisper" have Shadows.
I just thought this was a pretty cool little find(maybe people already knew).  What nicknames do you have, and what houses are they tied to?
*EDIT:  The pattern has started to not hold with the more nicknames I search.  I still think there may be something to it, though.  I just tried "Bootleg" and sixteen of seventeen decks have Logos.  It is as if having larger sample sizes improves the accuracy of statistical analysis.

Robin Graves reacted to blinkingline in Anger and Stunned Creatures - Brad Clarifications
Here's the thing about the "ready and fight" clarification. It's not about the ready and fight. It's a clarification to stun, and as @Palpster points out the second sentence for stun says "The next time this creature is used, the only thing that happens is the creature exhausts and the stun card is removed".

So the flow of using a card looks sort of like this now:
    1) I'ma use this card, OK?
    2) IS THE CARD STUNNED?
Yup...dang. REMOVE THE STUN. END FLOW.
Nope. SWEET, LET'S DO COOL STUFF, MOVE TO STEP 3.
    3) DO YOU WANT TO REAP, FIGHT OR ACTION?
         I wanna Fight!
    4) ARE YOU ALLOWED TO REAP, FIGHT, OR ACTION?
Nope, opponent has nothing to fight. NO FIGHTING THEN. END FLOW.

When the WOW TCG had the rainbow tiger promo mount (or whatever it was) in packs that could be redeemed in the MMO and was being sold on eBay for $150+, I know someone who worked at a now defunct shop that opened every product and resealed it with shrink-wrap.
I say know.  I really mean I met someone after-the-fact whom I would happily run over with a forklift, but the story still stands.

Robin Graves reacted to Showsni in If two Stealer of Souls destroy each other do they both get purged?
That's right, Stealer needs to survive in order to Purge anything; similar to how creatures with Fight need to still be alive to trigger the ability. On page ten of the rulebook: ". If either creature in a fight has a constant ability referencing the end of the fight (example: “after an enemy creature is destroyed fighting this creature…”), the creature must survive the fight to resolve the ability."

Robin Graves reacted to Mushra93 in Where do you protect your best creatures: flank or non-flank?
Brobnar - generally deals damage to all creatures or to a target. The only cards that you'll need to pay attention to is Lava Ball (Rare, 4 damage to a target and 2 splash damage) and Tremor (stun a target and its neighbors)
Dis - There's Hand of Dis (Destroy a creature not on a flank) and Snudge (play: return an artifact or flank creature to its owner's hand)
Logos - Positron Bolt (3 damage to a flank creature, 2 to its neighbor and 1 to the other creature's neighbor) and Harland Mindlock (Rare, play: take control of a creature on a flank until he leaves play)
Mars - Basically none. The only effect in Mars that cares for position is Zorg's before fight (stun a creature and its neighbors)
Sanctum - Mighty Lance (Rare, 3 damage and 3 to one neighbor), Radiant Truth (Stun each enemy creature not on a flank) and Lord Golgotha (Rare, before fight: deals 3 to each neighbor of the creature he's attacking)
Shadows - Booby Trap (deals 4 on a creature not on a flank + 2 splash damage), Longfused Mines (Rare, 3 damage to each enemy not on a flank), Special Delivery (artifact with omni: sacrifice to deal 3 to a flank creature), Bulleteye (Rare, reap: destroy a flank creature), Smiling Ruth (Rare, reap: if you forged a key on your turn, gain control of a flank creature) and Silent Dagger (upgrade, reap: deals 4 to a flank creature)
    Untamed - none.

Shadows have 5 cards that target the flank creature and one to non flank. Not a lot to worry against Untamed and Mars.
Sanctum just have those 2 that target one creature and neighbors and Radiant Truth that stuns all enemy creatures not on flanks.
Against logos you might wanna never leave your battleline like this in terms off power: lets say 5,2,1, as Positron Bolt will deal 2 and 1. Might want to leave the 1 in the middle.
Dis has basically one removal and cares for non flank

No such thing in this game, there is only power. So yes, it takes more to destroy that creature and it also deals more damage.
