I just gave a friend two decks as an early Christmas present and after he opened them, he noted that one of the decks had mismatched icons for the three factions versus what was listed on the checklist card.
Upon further inspection, the whole thing was wrong and it seems the incorrect checklist card has been slipped into the wrong deck.

Deck is still sealed and hasn't been scanned.

If this deck is like this, I can only assume that there is at least one other deck with the same problem in the opposite configuration.

That's some rare deck you got. Just put it on ebay. If people are crazy enough to pay 200$ for a horsemen deck, you should be able to get some pretty cash for yours.

Never date a Martian. Fellas, am I right? They're always so exhausting, then they're readying, then exhausting, then readying…

    They also make bad allies.

    Martians

I'm starting to see a theme here...

Speaking of exausting: 2nd game of the pre-release: My opponent had out: Kelifi dragon and two Ulyq megamouth.  (Managed to get rid of the dragon on the next turn, but by then the damage was done.)

I'm sure it went nothing like this, but this is how I imagine the end of that game playing out:

Lol. It wasn't at a tournament for starters...  But my tought process went like this

Me (start of game): "Feeding pit? Meh Don't think I'll use it, oh well might aswell play it and draw one more card."

Me (mid game): "Wow, I can't play any of these creatures or they will die." (They were from all 3 houses, so I'd be only to play one or maybe two per turn, and they'd end up DOA)

Me (a few turns later): "Unbelievable, I got a hand full of creatures and I can't play- wait Hand full, how many cards now? And I have that pit. Hmmm. Can't play them all at once, but I can dump 'em all at once! Bye fellas!"

It's as the saying goes: "When life gives you lemons, the lemons get squeezed.

Yeah, each. All of the ones I have given to friend have been random decks I picked up here and there just to have on hand to get people playing.

ME: "So here is your unique deck, you have three of seven houses, yadda yadda, some decks will have something called a 'Maverick' which is denoted by a symbol. They are about one in every 12 decks or so and are really nea..."

    FRIEND: "This symbol?"

M: *blinks* "Yup, that the symbol. Let's see what card it is."

[Shadows Witch of the Eye, Mars Control the Weak, Mars Hidden Stash, Sanctum Soft Landing, etc.]

Me: "Well time to go by a box of decks for myself"...*no mavericks* "Well, at least I have this key that will do something someday, maybe, hopefully..."

If it was me I'd be all: "Wow look at all these misprints! These decks are defective. Here, let me take these and I'll get you a proper box." :D

I love the Zookeeper.  He'd be terrible in archive heavy decks (notably Logos & Dis),

Gues what type of deck mine is in? ;)

Some of my decks enjoy self sabotaging themselves: Like the only deck that has the (Untamned) Common Cold in it, is the one that 's also full of martians. (Thank god it's a "may" ability.)

  6. Same here. I also playtest most of my decks before I play with them against other players. With CCG's it's mostly to see if the synergy is good or not. (do I need more resources? Can I replace a needed card with a card that let's me draw more? How many turns on avergae does it take to get all the cards for my winning combo?- Stuff like that.)

Sadly it's very hard to play Netrunner against yourself.

  7. I have several ones I like for various reasons:

The one with Brobnar/Untamned/Sanctum: One of two house combinations I wanted to get, it has lots of creatures and I won a game by healing creatures.

The one with Mars/Shadows/Logos: The other one of the desired house combinations. This one has a Maveric Gateway to Dis in Logos. The look on my oponent's face...

The one  with 7 artifacts and Oath of poverty: I swear sometimes it's like you get a theme deck. Sadly it's a bit to low on creatures.

The one that's super reactionary: Whatever your opponent throws at you, you can deal with it. It's just that you spend a lot of time nursing the cards in your hand, doing nothing, waiting for the right time to play your stuff.

The one that will capture, steal and blow away all your aember: Played against a similar deck.  That game took a while.

The decks that have 3 of the same creature: One with 3 Titan Mechanics- Yeah that's not that good. The one with 3 Niffle apes and their queen. The one with 3 Silvertooth (silverteeth?)Play and reap. I'm easily satisfied like that.

And the one with 3 Snufflegators, because my regular oponent thinks Skirmish is the most OP ability in the game for some reason. Okay, they did wipe out all of his Knights in one turn, but that was just one game...

Each of the 10 decks I have given to a friend has had a Maverick (Shadows doesn't need a Witch of the Eye, c'mon). Bought myself a case to crack for aember shards and not a single one.

Man, I'd love a Witch of the Eye in Shadows,Lots of cool cards that end up killing your own creatures.

    Wow, that's rough.

  9. Took me ages to get a purple backed deck for some reason... I got 20+ decks: mostly white, green and yellows followed by blues and red and orange more rare... and only one (!) purple.

For a while it was actually on my wanted list:

    • Puple back
    • Shadows/Mars/Logos deck
    • Maverick
    • Horsemen

    (only horsemen remain)

Anybody else have cards they thought would stink but the right deck made them shine?

I'm still waiting for EMP blast to prove itself usefull.  Ok destroying artifacts is cool, but it's a Martian House card that stuns Martian creatures. That's not very helpfull.

For the record I do  like  Dextre. Hes usefull.
