I will try 3x Blue Squadron Escorts with Lando/Nien/Chewie for 200 pts (Hyperspace legal). I imagine it will be a really solid build. A lot of HPs to chew through to get to Lando. A very solid damage output with 3x 3-RedDie ships plus Lando who frequently gets TL/Focus.

I am thinking Lando with Nien Nunb and Chewbacca crew (86 pts). Add 3x Blue Squadron Escorts (PS2 X-wings) for an even 200 points. I like that this list is a bit of a flashback to the Han plus 3x Z95 days except you have 3x 2.0 X-wings to back you up! Lando is not Han but he is till PS5 and can pretty freely boost since he has a lot of blue maneuvers with Nien Nunb. If Lando isnt boosting or rotating arc he can TL/Focus with his ability so he can put up really consistant damage as most people probably know. I like that there is room for Chewie to fill out the list, thematically very nice!

I think 2.0 was a failure. The game became more dry because a lot of effects were toned down, but at the same time you have more upkeep because of token management. It´ is only fitting that you now have a meta dominated by swarms of generics. As a casual player I would strongly prefer 1.0 (if anybody was still playing it) because of simplicity and more colorful combos. I am perfectly fine facing Dengaroo if I can field Palp Aces myself. I find 1.0 Parattani much more fun to play than Boba-Fenn in 2.0. I fail to see how 2.0 Boba-Fenn is somehow a more enjoyable experience to face or play than 1.0 Parattani. Having bought most of the epic ships in 1.0 for a considerable sum it also felt premature to be going to 2.0 while the epic format was never developed. I am actually very excited to see what this restructuring move does for X-wing. I think the game has been stagnating during 2.0 and I think there is a lot of room to make the game more attractive to the casual gamer again.

Does anyone know how well X-wing was selling during the months prior to Covid?
