  1. I am contemplating getting the Force and Destiny Beta book, and was just wondering: for those that have past experience, is there a benefit from buying the Beta book, as opposed to waiting and getting the final product? When is the final version expected to be released? Is the Beta fairly complete as-is, though things may change somewhat depending on feedback? Or are there large gaps of material missing, awaiting the final print? Thoughts and ideas on this would be most helpful!
  2. That's it! I never realized that before! My little brother always harassed me for using inverted on Halo . . .
  3. I would come over to the Dark Side for that.
  4. In case anyone was looking for this: (Thanks to Scroll2020 for pointing me in the right direction.)
  5. Presume FFG will release a Super Star Destroyer mini - because, obviously they will. If they made that the size of the current largest-'mini'-they've-released (the "X-Wing Miniatures" Tantive-IV), then the Victory Star Destroyer, in scale with it, would be the size of an XWM A-Wing. So I think we can see a good argument for the sliding scale... Personally I don't think it obvious they will do an SSD granted with a sliding scale it could be done.. but seripusly, a ISD is gonna be 2-3 times the Victory class.. an SSD would be maybe 3 feet long.. on that slideing scale...We'll see what happens, I for one won't be holding my breath for a SSD Well, that's the whole point of a "sliding" scale. The 'canon' size of an ISD is about twice the length of a VSD... ...but since the scale slides, FFG doesn't have to do anything but just make it 'noticeably bigger', and they are golden. Just make it 25% bigger, and *bam*, done! I'll take 2 of each please.
  6. They say it is a victory class.
  7. The wife is NOT going to be happy.
  8. This is my current wishlist of ships that I would like to see made. Most, if not all, are probably a no-go (especially the second half of the list). http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Lady_Luck http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Jade%27s_Fire http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Jade_Sabre http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Jade_Shadow http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/GAT-12_Skipray_Blastboat http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Star_Jewel (if they come out with a pirate/fringe faction, this would be perfect for epic) http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Nebulon_Ranger http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/SunGem http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Lightside_Explorer http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Starstorm_One http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/CX-133_Chaos_fighter http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Star_Saber_XC-01_starfighter http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Aurek-class_tactical_strikefighter
  9. "Honey, what's for dinner?" "Wookie steak." "Oh? Is it any good?" "It's a little Chewy."

    Margin of Victory

As an interesting note, the chess community has an ongoing Strength of Schedule score (rating) which lends itself better to that game, as opposed to it being only based on a few games played.
  11. Well then, I apologize for my recent topic post. I was just so surprised I had to share, lol. I think there was far more luck than skill involved though, at least on my side of the table.
  12. In position to counter attack twice. Congrats on a great showing in your first event. It looked like this (round 5 I believe): So I believe I took my two shots that round. As a good note to remember, the second attack is at the beginning of the end phase, so it's better to save the attack and just attack the next round as normal. Particularly when the Phantom cloaks after its attack, and Corran has VI so he attacks first anyway. Just a thought. Either way, Corran's attacks were enough to take the Phantom's shields, but the next round looked like this: Bad news for Corran.
