  1. I find the starter set works really really well. From there I go to a 100 point game, but I've had some hang ups when new people want to play empire. Its tough to find a combination of models that are easy for them to use, understand, and be excited about. I'm hoping the decimator fixes this.
  2. I'm getting two, I think the space fringer will be fun and I want extras of some of the cards since im frequently called upon to supply both players.
  3. You can keep the predator in the build l suggested. I've run a couple games with Keyan and advanced sensors, it's been awesome for me, especially when you start barrel rolling into 1 hards
  4. Give keyan advanced sensors and for 25 you can add your choice of tarn mison and R7 or a blue squadron with fire control system.
  5. I haven't seen any falcon hate. Its very possible we see the y wing turret mind that's been speculated on as a possible enemy of the falcon.
  6. Tarn seems so good on paper but whenever I make a list with him he magically turns into a Bwing (usually blue) by the end. I will find him a way in eventually lol

Could also do Tarn Mison (25) X-Wing (23), R7 Astromech (2) Roark Garnet (26) HWK-290 (19), Ion Cannon Turret (5), Jan Ors (2) Blue Squadron Pilot (25) B-Wing (22), Advanced Sensors (3) Blue Squadron Pilot (24) B-Wing (22), Fire-Control System (2) you lose the stress but you get the ps 12 from Roark and Jan can still give your b's evades. You could also keep Tarn as wedge

  10. I don't know if i would be running the PTL variant, my plan was originally go shutte with fleet officer and Brath. I was spending the extra points on yorr just to make sure Brath doesn't get screwed over by stress and can always use his ability.

  12. Would make Ys a great counter to large ships. It'd make sense too since we're seeing a ton of phantom hate while the other big fish in the meta hasn't been shown so much.

Ran the following today against echo/howlrunner swarm Horton Salm Flechette x2 R2d6 Vet instincts Engine upgrade Dutch Bandit A with chandran reftx2 Deployed Horton to chas after echo in an alley whole Dutch and crew deployed in the middle and went towards the opposite alley to take on the tie swarm/head off echo. Horton needed the engine upgrades to stay in range of echo, never got to fire his torps but managed to do 2 damage through an asteroid at range 3 against uncloaked echo. Obliterated an academy along the way too. The list was super fun although in debating moving the As down to z95s to give Dutch r2 and a turret. The As are supposed to be flankers/harassers but they don't seem to find the opportunity enough.

  17. I'm a fan of wedge with VI and engine upgrades. Guarantees you'll move last and shoot first and allows for course correction when necessary

  19. Let's say it's Wes + VI Wes + VI attacks. Either you get any hit or you don't. - If you get 1 hit, it gets negated by evade token withouth using C3PO - If you get 2-3 Hits, they will get negated by C3PO and evade token. This means, that Wes is very likely to do zero damage, and that either Evade token and C3PO can still be used, except, if Wes does no damage, where he would lose the evade token (but you lost one ship's attacks already). And Wes ability WILL BE WASTED basically whatever you do. Wedge attacks, does its damage, as usual. Xwing attacks, if C3PO wasn't used with Wes attack, it will be used for this one. If wes hasn't VI Wedge attacks, Falcon uses Evade token. Wes attacks, Falcon uses C3PO as needed I think we should get an sticky about "missconceptions about dealing with C3PO + Evade", because too many people are really confused by outmaneuver or Wedge's ability to "negate" C3PO. While I do agree there are plenty of misconceptions going around and i am not a huge fan of him, Wes definitely helps. His only sub par situation is rolling one hit and having it cancelled by evade+good dice. Three hits and the falcon is down to only using dice against other non wedge ships. 0-1 hits still strips the evade at least.
  20. Right now ndru is the only non y wing that excites me. Can't wait to see the named Ys and rebel crossover stuff.
  21. Asteroid placement is so key to dealing with phantoms. You can really limit their mobility that way, even make them predictable. Thrawn I watched a couple of your games, was awesome seeing 4 xs compete. I will say though the game you played an echo the guy really shot himself in the foot flying echo so aggressively you made a great maneuver to punish him, and it really showed me how good swarm tactics can be.
  22. Sounds eerily like the general reaction to Imperial Aces . . . Although for rebel aces that was sort of the idea right? Make a wings playable and b wings more diverse. Not necessarily better
  23. I've been running him with VI and advance sensors. Advance sensors is great on a b wing already and it gets pretty abusive with keyan. I've played three games with him and ran him with wedge and they've performed exceptionally. Actually I haven't lost a ship yet, but my foes weren't necessarily bringing their best scariest lists either.
