Engine upgrade is great on large ships because it grants them even more mobility than it does on a small base ship, this goes a long way in arc dodging. I'm not a huge fan of it on Oicun though, you cant actually ram with EU, it does however help him turn around faster -
As an aside, I am entertained by two ship builds. I like the idea of wingmen or buddies or whatever, I don't like the 60 point centerpiece and filler, that seems a little dull to me

I've been kicking around a couple list in my head for this scenario. I've gotten a little practice using wedge, e'tahn and three Z's, been thinking stay on target and r2 astromech for wedge with the last three points but I'm still undecided. I have to wait for wave 6 but the list I'm really excited to run is Soontir fel PTL, autothrusters, Howlrunner, VI Obsidian tie Academy tie x3 I think both of those lists give you a high PS guy to take down corran or phantoms, and enough firepower to protect him and then harass the large ship.

Because wedge needs to be better? yes ;P. Really though i feel like it will open up design space for list building as a player if you want to secure a ps bid with a named pilot and keep an ept. It would see use on corran horn, horton salm and luke in the current meta i suspect, and if the ps7 meta really becomes a thing after fat dash somone like porkins or even garvin could also benefit. The problem is you have restricted this only to the filthy rebels. Why should they and only they be guaranteed this PS bid lock? You already have veteran instincts to boost wedges PS and that is available to everyone. I don't think something that can lock in a PS bid (you can combine with bet instincts if you forgot predator) should be available only to one side. Fair enough, I haven't been able to think of an elegant solution to the issue, I'm not sure it would help the game to add "higher pilot skill" to the rebels only. But realistically the only x wing that gets played competitivley is biggs. Y's are only getting played as golds with ion turrets. This would be borderline totally useless on them.The main goal is a less effective vet instincts that occupies a different slot. Perhaps an imperial only mod would be the fair equivalent? Really helps interceptors who generally want a ps bump and virtually always have thier ept slot accounted for while simultaneously not buffing phantoms any further. There'd be some concern on what it would do for decimators, but if it was a mod they'd have to give up engine upgrades for it, though that would allow to some extent players to have to choose between higher ps for shooting first or higher mobility. Imperial boba would also positively benefit from it, and i'd probably file him as somewhat under powered right now too. Thats not a bad compromise. Its not the additional way to buff PS that was the issue but the fact it was faction specific. The only scary part about making it a mod for imperials is it does somewhat limit what you can do for future imperial ships. I'm not sure there's any design space left between the phantom and tie interceptor, but you'd probably cap your PS at 7 if you wanted to make that ship

And since we're on the topic are simple recaps available anywhere? Player1 with list a over player 2 with list b? I currently don't have access to vassal so I can't follow the logs that are currently available.

It's more of a threat to the owner than to the enemy, we've had decades of lightsaber development through the EU books and games and no one ever came up with a stupid idea like this. The hilt has never been used for blocking like a traditional sword, if your letting the enemies blade make contact there you've lost the weapon, your hand and probably your life. the FOOTBALL droid is silly aswell but then droid design has never been about practicality, gonk droids are awesome but hardly a super practical design with those stubby legs and no way to get up if it falls. Aaah....Gonk droids, yees....I like the claymore style sword. I would most certainly kill myself with those crossguards, but I'm certain the film baddie will be able to handle it just fine, and, thus, preserve my suspension of disbelief. In fact, once he's used it once or twice I'm sure noone will remember to think "hey, that's HUGELY impractical....". What if he slices himself up with it his first fight? Id think that would do more to suspend disbelief

Same here. If it looks like anything WW2 related I would also go with the ME-262. I'd agree with that. Maybe its just the color but it looks a little a-10 to me. I think that's part of what I don't like about the design, if you told me it was a successor to they wing in purpose I'd believe it, but as a top line fighter I stand by my hideous statement

Option three is actually makes one of my favorite lists that just got better with autothrusters. Soontir, kath, Named tie, academy tie and upgrades across the board. If you get a tie interceptor you'll want to get imperial aces or an a wing for push the limit -
Really?? I think it looks rather cool.If you look at the cover of the new X-wing series book: "Mercy kill" maybe you will think otherwise. Actually that pushed me from finding it "not objectionable or likeable" to "good lord kill it with fire" on the e wing. Someone did a shape ways variant a while back and that was beautiful. (so much so that that was the first time I've ever spelled beautiful right on the first try)

I think you get wasted points from gunner, you make a primary attack with gunner and outrider says you cant make primary attacks

Hypothetically speaking, what if it were to compete with the y wing points slot wise the way the b and the x wing compete? Then you only have to make it really different from one fighter, the only big drawback there is you could end up like the rebels where one stops seeing play after a while.

My A Wings don't have system slots. But if they did, they would be fixed! Why does it need a Systems Slot? The increased damage output from fire control systems or increased flexibility from advanced sensors would make up for the expense on a 2 attack ship. Accuracy corrector would be a problem though

I just re-watched the original trilogy the past week, when slave 1 jettisons with the imperial trash, its pretty close in size to the falcon, i was actually surprised at how close they were as i always pictured the falcon to be bigger.

This is pretty much the list I was planning on running only with whisper instead. The only kinda disheartening part about the decimator is that it's hard to think of lists that aren't decimator +mininswarm or decimator+1 other loaded ship -
I'm not familiar with CSI, how long are those prices likely to be up?
