The new distribution and packaging seems a little more pricey than previous waves, so if I'm going to budget somehere, I might skip out on some of my wave 2 purchases, resistance conversion kit was a definite purcahse before hand and might be on the outside looking in now that I know about the waterfall coming in wave 3.

I know it happened around waves 4.5-6 as well as with 8 and imp vets. They were in danger of it with wave 13 and what was supposed to be 14 but magically came at the same time, to cite a few examples off the top of my head

We've pointed out time and again that there was never that much variety in first edition. I saw someone above say they think the meta will be stale for a year in 2e. Ffs we're getting two new factions this month and if we're reading the tea leaves right from the wave kit prize support and the fact that physical models are at trade shows, two more by q1 2019, but somehow the meta is stale and solved? People in general absolutely don't want to bet on themselves and won't. I worry THAT more than anything will drive people away from 2e

Between this thread and talking to people in person, I'm pretty sure most of the anti 2e people are just imperial glue eaters who don't want thier trajectory sims, phantoms, and Sloane's taken away.

To follow up on that, I'm unbelievablely stoked about the second Ed format, every time I build for it, every time I play it, there's nothing oprresive, very little opportunity to get beat at list building. Every game feels like it's largely decided on the table.

Imperials in extended have an embarrassment of riches, as good as whisper is, things like Vader, defenders, punishers Sloane swarms and barrage bombers can all be pushed to great results and I'm sure I'm forgetting things.

on my list of things to try after l5r worlds is selfess rebels with saw. I wonder if you can play the damage spread mini game well enough to keep saws ability on and everybody alive. I don't think i actually Want to play that though which comes back to one of my complaints for the faction, if any of this team work defensive stacking stuff is powerful, it's not good for the game

Imperials were definitely x wing. X wing is all about leaving your ships in Arc and not taking damage. Why I fondly remember busting out my core set and taking zero damage using focus evade palp thrusters. That's x wing to me Scum has so many types of x wing, nym, trip jumps, dengaroo. Wow, x wing!
