I actually played against 4 arcs, 3 of which had 7th fleet gunner and felt similar. Again opponent was a quality human being and i had no reason not to trust him, but its pretty important that i not let kylo take 4 die shots either! I actually bemoaned before the tournament that i dreaded "the spreadsheet minigame" that's part of x wing now. Since everything has half points and nothings printed and 200 is a much larger number than 100, game state can be really fuzzy at important times, add in all manner of charges, most of which are represented off the board, and you have a lot of accounting work as part of an x wing game

Hey dont forget 67 68 and 69! I actually got to see one of the gts when i was in france in 2017 That said, i've seen either lego sets or hotwheels toys (can't remember which) for the tie striker thing, so that would probably be my second guess

I think there's alot to digest which is why all the different responses, I haven't read the whole article yet, but the increase in volume of games going to time will affect a high number of players, and likely not in the same way.

we also don't have the red dice power creep we did from 1.0, i can't remember the last time i skillfully earned a five die missile with greater than double mods. I get close with fenn sometimes, but not consistently. (I know, ironic that i'm bemoaning the lack of red dice power creep)

I had this literally last game night, on the final turn of the game my opponents fat decimater did 1 damage to poe to half him and win on points, but i still had half of poe and fully tallie on the board, my opponent won, but we were both like "really? that was it?" I've definitely made decisions at tournaments that were reflective of having to play around hitting time with multiple ships left on the board, which has felt foriegn to me. I initially assumed this was a side effect of my general fade away from x-wing, but its actaully a situation I haven't been in much. I generally played alot of beef and alot of defense stacking in 1e, and my games rarely went to time. Sidenote on games going to time, it's miserable at tournaments, when am i supposed to poop? Unicorn clan is the only right choice, 30 minutes of game play followed by 35 minutes of break is the only good tournament plan

The reputation side effect of this thread is hilarious to me. I pre empt it, i don't get my dice out and request to share my opponents dice. It seems to .make everyone's life easier

The transport (assuming it's not crazy expensive) seems like a great fit for resistance, they're an ace heavy faction and will really like what it brings

It was the final, so it was actually for closer to 115 minutes. What im still trying to figure out is, was the 3 bank off the board intentional? Did they just want a really specific subset of people to suffer?
