    I recently started running this list for my rebels. It's done ok, but i wanted to see what other peoples thoughts on it were.

     

    Luke Skywalker (35)
    X-Wing (28), R2-D2 (4), Predator (3)
     
    Bandit Squadron Pilot (12)
     
    Wedge Antilles (29)
     
    Roark Garnet (24)

    I think it can handle falcons ok thanks to luke with r2 and some extent wedge, and I think wedge and Roark give me the edge I want against phantoms and other maneuverable ships. I usually line Luke up as a flanker and run the rest of the squadron in formation, but I'm not totally sold on the list yet, i feel like its a few tweaks away from being good. Generally if possible I'd like to keep Luke and Wedge in there, especially Wedge as he is my favorite star wars character, but if someone has a suggestion that veers away I'm all ears.

    Generally at the end of list building i find myself trying to fit a z95 in by cutting one or two points so it will be hard for me to make the move to a wing. Also i find the commonality between the z95s dial compared to the x and y wings I tend to run to be an advantage. At ps1 I don't think much advantage can be taken with the boost action. I actually like the A wing better and I'm looking forward to Ferrel, but in the lists I play right now the Z is the better fit.

    Well before I saw blail my favorite solution was the addition of a systems slot for 0 or even -1. The ship definitely has the potential to be neat but as others have pointed out the cost is just too much, my imperial lists often would like something like it, but are never willing to pay for it.

    I love R3A2 on Gold with Ion turret. It is a great addition to any list. Better, in my opinion, than the 2 bandits you can get for about the same points.

    A buddy of mine runs this, it can be super frustrating when the ion keeps me from clearing stress.

    The 100% spoiling is the main issue. I've lost so much excitement with rebel aces that I canceled a preorder and my cancel a other (I had three). I know what's in it, I've already stopped day dreaming about it and I've moved on to other releases and hobbies.

    Somehow I'm 5-0 with this list

    night beast 15

    academy pilot

    with Kath and soontir shooting at the same time I can take more risks, night beast is surprisingly durable and hangs out with the academy tie and Kath. I've been thinking about changing it bur it hasn't lost

    This game is still incredibly balanced. Sure list A may crush list B, but C can crush B and lose to A. Plus there are more than 3 lists that can compete.

    If you can't beat a phantom or 3PO, play more, try different things, learn.

    I didn't throw $800 at my local game store to play rock paper scissors.

    X-wing cost efficiency is too low to reliably use the generics consistently. Either spend the extra point to get the B-wing's durability, or just mass Z-95s, which have more durability and damage output per point cost.

    This is pretty much it. I run xs cuz I like them thematically, especially Wedge, Luke and Wes. I'd really like to try all threw with a z95 for fun sometime but I haven't had the chance.

    Unfortunately is no reason to run a generic x if you have the extra point for a b wing, its a totally superior ship.

    Man, now I'm sorta flustered. I really like Etahn, I've taken him toe to toe with large ships and come out on top, but I know that horn also a heavy hitter, every other turn.

    I think the combination Chewie and Etahn is really hurting here, because they don't really mix well, they don't complement each other. What was your intention in pairing them?

    My intent was that Chewie is pretty powerful in his own right, and Etahn is just consistently pumping crits. I've single handedly bested a full strength firespray with Etahn.

    Nothing wrong with running ships you like, but the synergy is limited.

    Another option would be to add Cracken and give him one of the veteran instincts. He can shoot at ps10 and it will let you barrel roll ajbaht into a better firing position after everyone is done moving. Generally though I am on board with dropping both VIs for a rookie pilot. As stated above you don't get much by going to ps7.

    As stated above you don't need any upgrades on the b wing. That said fire control system and advanced sensors are both great. Advanced is especially nice against swarms and fcs is great against larger ships or really anything more durable than a tie. I will add that, in my opinion, advanced sensors is more useful on daggers and up

    I'm tempted to take out the Blue Squad and just put in three bandits instead.

    love what is basically a rogue squadron list.

    Absolutely yes! I was thinking about this today as to what planes would be what. I came up with

    z-95= F-16 cheap and used all over the world

    tie phantom = F-22 stealthy and tremendous firepower

    tie defender = su 47 incredibly maneuverable

    B wing =f14 (hlc =phoenix missles)

    I went back and forth a dozen times on the next one.

    x wing= FA18 multirole

    so that means

    Ewing =F15 designed with maneuverability in mind

    tie interceptor= mig 29

    Tie Bomber = A6 intruder for large ship hunting

    Y wing =A10 tons of health

    Haven't been able to pick out A wings and tie fighters though, feel like the AV8 harrier gets one of those nods. Maybe the ef2000 for the a wing?

    Any thoughts? Agree disagree?
