STEP 1: CHARACTER CONCEPT AND BACKGROUND
Luke Skywalker is a young farm boy of the planet Tatooine a desert world of the Outer Rim Territories. He’s an orphan living at the Lars Homestead, a moisture farm run by Owen and Beru Lars, his uncle and aunt.
He’s 19 years old and spends his time helping his uncle and aunt with agricultural works and dreaming of an adventurous life in space. He wants to join the Academy to become a starpilot, he’s also very interested in the Rebellion against the Empire.
One day, he’ll leave this little dusty and insignificant planet….
STEP 2: STARTING OBLIGATION
Family: Luke Skywalker was raised by his aunt and uncle, he cares about them even if he blames them for holding him in the life of a moisture farmer. He is also obsessed by the identity of his deceased father (+15 xp).
STEP 3: CHARACTER SPECIES
He is obviously a Human. As a resident of Tatooine he gets 1 rank in Resilience and another one in Vigilance.
STEP 4: CHARACTER CAREER
As a farmboy of the remote world of Tatooine, Luke Skywalker is an Explorer. Since he spends most of his free time piloting his old Skyhopper in the canyons of Tatooine, he gets 1 rank in Piloting (Space) as he wants to be ready for the Academy. Tatooine is an hostile world: arid with a tough fauna and inhabitants, he gets 1 rank in Cool, Perception and Survival.
STEP 5: SPECIALIZATIONS
Since his life of farmer on Tatooine prevents him to go to the Academy, he chooses the Driver specialization, allowing him to pilot and fix landspeeders and airspeeders. He gets Piloting (Planetary) and Mechanics, 1 rank each.
STEP 6: INVEST EXPERIENCE POINTS
As a Human with 15 extra experience points, Luke Skywalker starts the game with 125 xp. He gonna needs a high score in Agility to pilot ships and speeders, besides Agility is always useful to shoot all kind of ranged weapons from his slugthrower rifle to the ion cannon of his Skyhopper to shoot womp rats. So Luke spends 70 xp to get is Agility score 4. He’s also a smart boy with a score of 3 (30 xp) in Intellect, a useful characteristic to fix things, computes machines on knows stuffs. He’s not exceptionally charismatic or wise, little bit clue less in social events and not that strong, so Brawn, Cunning, Willpower and Presence stay at 2.
With the 25 remaining xp, he buys all the fancy piloting talents he can gets: Full throttle (5 xp), then Grit (10 xp) that is on the path to become a Skilled jockey (10 xp).
STEP 7: DETERMINE DERIVED ATTRIBUTES
Wound Threshold at 12 and Strain Threshold at 13 (thanks to Grit).
STEP 8: STARTING MOTIVATIONS
He don’t like the Empire and wants to overthrow it, but his obligation hold him on Tatooine.
STEP 9: GEAR AND DESCRIPTION
Young man from Tatooine, Luke Skywalker has blond hairs and blue eyes, he is not that tall but not that short with 1.72 meters in height. He wears an outfit that protect him from sun, sand and various shocks.
With 500 bucks, he buys a macrobinoculars, an utility belt, some heavy clothing, a slugthrower rifle, and two stimpacks (always useful in the desert of Tatooine).

The starport may be equipped with tractor beams to handle the containers?
The ship is equipped with a tractor beam to handle the containers?
The containers themselves are equipped with repulsor units, allowing the containers to perform limited maneuvers on a starport?
I made a floorplan for my group's Lamda Shuttle. Planning to print it out for use with tokens. Thought I'd share it in case anyone else found it ueseful for Age of Rebellion, Edge of the Empire, or Force & Destiny.
Yeah, the TL;DR version is: It went through a rather lengthy design and production stage and in the end didn't get put into active service much since the needs of the Empire changed once they had actual galactic control and thus preferred ISD's instead of this.
Rebels found them in storage, but they had been largely picked apart by the KDY for parts to use on other projects.
Some were picked clean by the Rebels and others were restored to a working order. None looked like they did in their original form. Thus the ramshackle look they have in the movies (and the distinctly non-imperial look too).
EDIT: The Nebulon-A was basically the same look but without the large fin at the front. It redesigned after an accident that caused the total destruction of one of the ships.
EDIT 2: This is just the non-canon story that the artist came up with... but it sounds good enough that I'll use it in my game. Here's a link to the video:
So many happy memories. I miss that show. TTnTT Btw, that guy is still alive, he does travelling drawing classes, a youtube channel, and an online course website.

Those pictures comes from a french comics called “Orbital”. The pitch is: in the future (late 23rd century), the Earth is contacted and included in a vast alien confederacy. Orbital presents the adventures of a pair of agents from the Interworld Diplomatic Office.

True !
In Star Wars, a good score in Deception or Charm* can be as useful (more useful?) as a good score in Piloting or Ranged [Light].

On another way, don’t forget the Empire is an awful dictatorship with legion of corrupted bureaucrats.
If you came to the BoSS with a ship known for multiple acts of piracy, you could be arrested and detained as a pirate yourself. May be the bureaucrat was simply corrupted and want to get a bounty, maybe he was genuinely believes that anyone had affairs with pirates (and especially those who are able to defeat them) are members of the underworld and must be neutralized by the Empire.
As admiral Piett said: "Bounty hunters, we don't need their scum!". You can replace "Bounty hunters" with "Sumgglers", "Tramp freighters captains", any kind of "poor guys"....
This can came with a Disaster.

If you want a location automatically defended by turrets against vehicles, you can imagine CIWS-like turrets (fun fact: the USN Phalanx CIWS is nicknamed R2-D2).
n Anti-Vehicular Automated Turret: SIL 2 • SPD none • HDL none. Armor: 1. Thresholds: HT 4 • SS 2. Sensor range: Close. Ship’s complement: droid brain.
Weapons: turret-mounted auto-blaster (Fire Arc All; Damage 3; Critical 5; Range [Close]; Auto-fire).
For retractable defense turrets that can be found indoor, lighter weapons can be used for obvious encumbrance reasons .
n Retractable Light Turret [rival]: BR 3; AGI 0, Ranged (Light); INT 0; CUN 2, Perception 2; WIL 1, Vigilance 2; PRE 0. Soak: 5; Wounds: 13.
Abilities: Silhouette 0. Droid: does not need to breathe, eat, or drink and can survive in vacuum or underwater. Immune to poisons and toxins.
Equipment: laminate armor (+2 soak).
§ Twin heavy blaster (Ranged [Light]; Damage 7; Critical 3; Range [Medium]; Linked 1, Stun setting).
Here's an interesting development, from screenwriter Jonathan Kasdan:
I have never wanted the Tardis to malfunction more than I do right now and deposit Captain Jack in the Star Wars universe. The fanfic pretty much writes itself!
Also, Supernerd Colbert weighs in on the development:
