Yes. You are correct. There are. I don't dispute a word you say. However, that is a broader issue thanwhat I commented on. My comments were solely restricted to the interpretive barriers encountered when art is unaccompanied by text and stats. A portrait that looks like Character X is not definitive proof that said character had undergone canonization. For instance, one could look at the black clad redheaded force user in the F&D core rulebook and say "that's Mara Jade" or "that just looks like Mara Jade" and be right either way. The picture itself is not definitive. Its up to the reader / viewer to reach a largely subjective conclusion. That was the sum total of my point. Nothing more.

Point of order: unless these characters are named in the text, which they aren't, its just a piece of artwork that looks like Mara Jade, Kyle Katarn, etc. We interpret as such, and we may be intended to interpret as such, but one could also say "that's just a redheaded force using woman in black who looks a lot like Mara Jade," etc. This would also be a valid interpretation. I believe the devs are using the art to imply these character's inclusion as a means of fanservice without actually staking out an explicit position on their existence that would have to be agreed to as "official" by the Mouse.

It also occurs to me that Rose gave us the key to Star Wars morality.
Our heroes don't fight to destroy what they hate.
They fight to preserve what they love.
That works far better for Jedi Knights than the weird laser sword space pacifism so often postulated.
Rose may just be the Rosetta Stone for the "Jedi Code."

I totally disagree. The entire story was all about the deconstruction of an epic saga. Pardon me while I shamlessly steal from Tvtropes:
We are introduced to Luke Skywalker, moisture farmer, restless young man, seemingly stuck on the planet Tatooine with little to no hope for the adventure he craves. We truly begin to see this when, after having bought two droids from Jawas, Luke goes out of the hovel he lives in with his aunt and uncle, and watches the twin sunset. In that moment, we see it: the yearning for adventure, the bravery, and the heart that will carry Luke's story into history. Over the next X years, Luke becomes a mythical figure, part-Buddha, part-Christ, part-Olympian. The stories of his exploits become legendary and the very name 'Skywalker' becomes synonymous with the word hero. But he's not happy. Nor is he a Messiah.
For every victory, there has been tragedy; for every life saved, there have been countless deaths. The heroic exploits and his near-mythological status has left Luke isolated from everyone in the universe, but such is the price of apotheosis. And then, fearing great catastrophe, Luke makes a grave mistake which costs him his followers, his academy, and his nephew. Disillusioned with the universe that he failed to make a better place, Luke instead turns to Ach-To, the ancient home of the very organisation which ruined Luke's life. he turns bitter and apathetic, seemingly waiting to die.
Then comes Rey, a young woman very much like Luke in her own way. And although he tries, Luke just can't sway her over with his cynicism. For every time Luke tries to convince her that the time of the Jedi has come to an end, Rey fires back with the kind of heartfelt logic that Luke himself used when turning Anakin Skywalker back to the light side of the force. Yes, the Jedi were flawed, but they did a lot of good, too. Yes, Luke did make mistakes, but no one is beyond redemption. Finally, Rey herself goes to confront the enemy, and Luke goes to destroy the last of the knowledge of the Jedi, until Yoda seemingly does it for him and they talk as master and apprentice, one last time. Luke decides to the fray. There, on the field of battle, without hesitation, Luke admits his mistakes and provides enough distraction for his friends to escape. Kylo Ren, newly crowned Supreme Leader of the First Order, goes to strike his uncle down, but he can't: Luke isn't there.
But this illusion and distraction has cost Luke. The myth has been pulled away to reveal the man who was once there. Not a god, not a wise and all-powerful Jedi Master, but the same heartfelt and brave man who left his home all those years ago. A man just as mortal as all of us. And so, in the last moments of his life, Luke Skywalker, safe in the knowledge that his friends and family are safe, looks up to the twin suns of Ach-To, just as he did on Tatooine all those years ago, and becomes one with the force. And although the war isn't over, we know that he has made the universe a better place.
That was a stunning moment. I loved how the sound dropped out for a moment during that.

I loved how Snoke was a total bait and switch, subverting the audience's expectations. I also loved how Rey's parentage just wasn't a thing - it's not who you come from, it's who you are that counts.

I loved that he was a puppet that moved and looked exactly like he did in Empire. I loved that in the space of three minutes, he was still the loki/coyote trickster that talked S to his student.

Eh, I was never impressed with Ginger Tarkin from the get-go. So throwing his character under the bus for the (second) best opening of a Star Wars movie ever was worth it. Also I love that while Kylo now has teeth and menace and has moved beyond whiny spoiled brat, that he still can't command respect/fear/loyalty from the First Order. That he still very much lives in the shadow of Vader.

    You too, huh?

    You need better friends.

I loved this movie.  Lots of nods and little twists and unexpected things.  Only really had 1 part that I didn't like, but won't spoil it for everyone, just that it had to do with Princess Leia.
My favorite thing they did though, is to let Luke Skywalker be Mark Hamill.  Sarcastic and snarky.  I loved it!

I did create a Stargate mod for Age of Rebellion, it will need updating based on the differences but they should be fairly minimal. I am busy at the moment organising a Symbaroum campaign but my original Stargate mod is in the below signature so feel free to take a look and see if anything is useable.

Nice movie that, I am sure, will grow with multiple viewings.
    A solid 7.5 out of 10.
I did miss that Star Wars feeling that TFA had in spades, but I think it is a much better movie than Rogue One (which I still think is an inferior movie, but a great SW experience.)

    1. Your Snoke theorie is useless.

    2. Force Ghosts last a loooooong time.

    3. The Mirror of Erised did not do for Rey what it did for Harry Potter.

    4. The idea that we would be seeing a more Grey force tradition emerge was nothing more than that,; an idea. If anything the chasm between light and dark is bigger now than it ever was.

    5. Most criticism I read online is that Finn and Rose's storyline is unnecessary while it actually sets up one of the most important messages of the film.

    6. Even with a movie that redefines the force and takes really big chances people still talk about "disneyfication"

    7. Some use of CGI is fantastic, others plain horrible (Rey and Luke up on the mountain for instance...)

    8. I did not like the conversations between Kylo and Rey. It felt forced (no pun intended) but it set up the final act in a believable way.

    9. The Praetorian Guards were amazing. I know a lot of people were sceptical but they looked great in motion.

    10. There is so much tech and gear that will end up in my games...

    11. Again, no/hardly any "return aliens"...

    12. Maz Kanata's dispute with the Union will end up a novel, I am sure.

New bug release version 2.2.1.1 now available!
Manual Install               Web Install               Documentation               FAQ
Release 2.2.1.1 (Bug Fix for Release 2.2.1.0)
According to dev ruling, the Engine Boost System attachment now requires 1 HP, not 2. In the Imbue power, the two Duration abilities were slightly different.  They are now separate Force abilities.  In the Ebb/Flow power, the Strength abilities actually did three different things.  They are now separate Force abilities. In the Ebb/Flow power, the final Control ability is in reality, the Mastery ability; it was labeled incorrectly in the book.  It is now labeled correctly in the generator. The Mk. IV Backpack Pouch attachment erroneously contained a scattergun weapon.  This has been removed. Fixed link in Ambassador specialization between Sixth Sense and Dedication. When an unranked talent was granted from GM Grants, and the same talent was available in a specialization tree, it would properly select the talent and not charge XP.  However, when the character was loaded again, XP would, once again, be charged.  This has been fixed. Steelskin armor from "Dangerous Covenants" will now automatically add setback to dice pools of Brawn- and Agility-based skills.  Before, the effect was just mentioned, as this capabilty did not exist in the generator when DC was first supported. Modified categories on DR-45 "Dragoon" blaster to match the blaster's modes (pistol or carbine). In Reports in GM Tools, trying to create a new report would generate an exception.  This has been fixed. When a piece of equipment was configured to act as a container, and an item was chosen to be in that container, it would incorrectly set the item's AddlHP property to 1.  If the character had not also tinkered the item to have an additional HP, this would cause any attachments to be removed the next time the character was recalculated.  It no longer does this. When a piece of equipment included a die modifier, unexpected results could occur if more than one type of skill identity (skill characteristic, type, and/or key) was selected for the die modifier.  Any combination should now give the proper result. The Marked-Target Firing Lock attachment will no longer be available for weapons that possess the Blast or Auto-Fire qualities. The Rapid-Recharge Xciter attachment will no longer be available for weapons that already possess the Auto-Fire quality. The Paramilitary Landspeeder attachment can now be applied to speeder trucks. Splash screens no longer stay top-most in the z-order and can have other windows in front of them after they are displayed. If a new skill was added in custom data, but the source was not selected, it could cause problems with talents that allow you to select skills, such as Well-Rounded.  This should be fixed. If a character with a selected morality was loaded, the Notes section was not displayed until a new morality was added.  This has been fixed. There was an issue found where certain newly-loaded characters would immediately have the "Save" button enabled, as if the character had been changed.  This should be fixed. Many grids, and the web display panels, will now gain focus when the mouse enters then.  This means that things such as wheel scrolling will be enabled in grids and web panels without first selecting the controls. In specialization trees, for talents that generate conflict, the amount of conflict is now shown in a new tool tip for the conflict icon, rather than in the main tool tip over the name.

I don't use maps, I just make a skeleton framework for the location and scribble down a few details for each area. I find maps too restrictive, once I've drawn something out that's all it is. With a rough framework, it's much more malleable for me and can react easily to changes during play. Plus, drawing out maps takes a lot of time and effort, while a skeleton just takes me a few moments.
For example, here's my version of the Heartache Bistro on Nar Shaddaa:
