Hi, i'm making a strange eons plugin, that is nearly complete functionality wise, but need help making hi-res templates, since that takes too much time, and time is limited..
-
Thanks for the wording clarification !

Note that brainiac can change printed cost, but that isn't taken into account. Let's say that brainiac changes Mithel's cost to two, his printed cost will always be 3.

it isn't i can assure you. go there where all the talk happens : http://www.cardgamedb.com/forums/index.php?/forum/23-sw-lcg-general-discussion/

Not sure about this, but there is a lot more activity on cardgamedb's star wars forum (also owned by ffg), where people will be happy to inform you !
Specifically i think this new thread has got the answers you need : http://www.cardgamedb.com/forums/index.php?/topic/29750-former-player-thinking-of-coming-back-what-should-i-buy/
Always happy to have new players !

No. There isn't any announcement concerning the release of the first one atm.

Nice ! Same for me.

Here in france there was an important drop during winter, at least in my region, but competitive play attendance seems to be pretty much on par with last year (stores and regionals), perhaps a bit better.
I'll calculate stats end of season.
-
...over twelve months later... do you still feel that the game is not dying?
I cannot speak for anyone else's community or situation but it was interesting to find out that there was 134 less players this Regionals season so far compared to last year's. This, of course, is only focusing on the competitive play in the United States and not abroad and it only focused on the competitive play. We have absolutely no clue the amount of players there are that play it casually, we only have the competitive scene to go off of in terms of whether we are gaining or losing players.
Are you sure of this ? Yodaman states attendance seems to be on par for now, and should be at the end of season at this rate, perhaps will end up a little higher with a bit of luck : http://www.cardgamedb.com/forums/index.php?/topic/22429-regional-attendance/page-2#entry179641

I only know of three right now:
- http://jediwars.com/SquadBuilder : a work in progress, currently allows selection of squads and command cards, tallies total costs, but missing some core functionality (like saving)
- http://ia-armies.com/ : functional builder with all cards, saving, and printer friendly (i.e. white background)
- https://boardgamegeek.com/filepage/112702/star-wars-imperial-assault-skirmish-army-builder-t : fully functional builder, desktop application (download to use), Windows only. A bit spartan in its UI design, but highly useful.
I'm sure others will pop up as time goes on. X-Wing has what, at least 3 different squad builders?

Please not that the third works on linux by installing mono (i run it on ubuntu 14.04), and should also work in macOS.

I played against this exact deck yesterday.. It's a beast. Full of surprises

Thanks for the precision dbmeboy, i should have taken care more of the wording of my answer.

Same for the objective, it is checked at the time the unit strikes since it's the moment where theses effects are relevant. They're permanent effects, and as such are recalculated permanently.

The conditions on Dash Rendar are checked at the time he strikes, if at this moment he is attacking alone, he gains a * for each card in your opponent's hand.
-
Seems interesting ! But Scouring the Empire is Sith affiliation only. That only limits playing the destroyers or the Control Room if the objective isn't out though. Since the ships have 3 force pips i don't see this as a problem.
-
No actually we thought we'd lose because i had no more units, so when focusing the dsii i had to immediately destroy an objective, but sabotage saved us.
-
It actually happened to us last night. We were in a tight spot with my light side associate, the ds was just getting to get enough resources to get the dsii to flip.
We got the force for the first time in the entire game at the end of our turn ), then played My ally is the force for 3, killing vador, palpatine, shuttle, 2x ties and something else i can't remember, effectively clearing his whole board (no one was commited except one focused chud since he didn't need to). He then played his death star ii (we pretty much had no defense btw) using all his resources, used it to destroy an objective that would have made him win the game, and then i sabotaged it using my last 2 resources.
We couldn't believe it since no one saw it coming ! it's completely awesome !!

my favorite LS combo is just so fun to set up and takes down the devastator barely breaking a sweat. have an all hoth objective board, play with pods 43 and 38, and 39 (but thats optional)
First card you want to get off is the most amazing hoth card which is Echo Base (resource, objective health, and +1 hoth objectives. Second card is either Echo Defender, though wilderness fighter would be best, he now has 4 black blasters and 2 edge blasts, then you if you play Hoth Survival gear, he gains 4 more health, making him a 6 health monster who is going to kill anything you have unless you can tactics him! -like the above, you can use all 3 cards with only 4 resources!-
Totally agree with you on this one ! Love it and intend to play at regionals ;
-
A nice one is Battlefield engineers + trust your feelings.
i.e you can attack 3 times with luke, and have it ready to defend next turn if not previously commited.

Missions are a little confusing...why even play them?

No, they count as an objective on your victory pile, so they factor into the 3 obj win for LS, and DS dial increase for DS.
There is a rules insert present in each Endor cycle pack, between plastic and cardboard, detailing in/out of faction terminology, and mission rules.
You can find a scanned copy here : http://www.cardgamedb.com/forums/index.php?/topic/29345-mission-rules/#entry230121
since it seems it is not available to download on the game's official page.
