What an Amazing day. We played 8 rounds in less than 13 hours with two 45 minute meal breaks. We saw 1 Draw and only 1 modified match which may be a first for the fewest modified results. We had 46 players in attendance playing 28 rebel builds, and 18 empire builds. The top 16 consisted of 13 rebel builds and 3 empire builds. Top 8 was 7 rebel to 1 Empire with and Imperial Swarm beating down a Rebel Swarm for the trophy. The competition was fierce and very strong. We had the former World Champion, 4 from the top 16 of Worlds 2013, and numerous top 8 finishers in various Vassal tournaments. In the end, only one player could be crowned as the regional champion and that honor goes to Gavin Norman who beat Jim Blakley for the trophy after a long day of brutal battles. I am honored to have run this tournament in the company of such great players. I hope the rest of the regionals produce as good a time as this one did. This is just a quick update for the Bellevue Regional. Gavin Norman Beat Jim Blakley. After 13 hours and 46 competitors, Gavin walked the gauntlet and won it all. Congratulation to him. (More info to come in the next few days.

Jim, i believe you penned Rebel Swarm, and it has stuck.

As a TO, if i am running the event, I do not play in the event. I do that to stay completely impartial, and to make sure the even runs smoothly.

The TO for this event gets nothing from FFG in the kit. Unless they add something at the last minute, I do not see the TO recognized for their efforts. I think too many stores have sold their kits for events like this, which has caused FFG to become weary of these events and adding extra product.
