Yeah, the (relatively) large bases and asymmetry of the map suggest that ramming will be common.

This is one of the reasons why I like Serissu + HLC squad combo, along with evade tokens. The HLC means you don't want to fire at R1, and having an extra green die, plus the evade token, plus Serissu's ability means that they survive a lot longer. I've had games where I haven't taken any damage at all.

I haven't lost with this squad (yet): * Serissu (20) + Elusiveness (2) + "Heavy Scyk" Interceptor (2) + Heavy Laser Cannon (7) 3x Cartel Spacer (14) + "Heavy Scyk" Interceptor (2) + Heavy Laser Cannon (7) = 100 The concentrated fire from the HLCs tends to chew through opponents. I usually take evade actions, to increase the survivability, along with Serissu's ability.

Another option would be to do a Scum & Villainy faction, a la X-Wing. I doubt that FFG will do pre-OT ships, since they've said that they are focusing on the Civil War era.

Well, I doubt that we'll see those ships, given that the old EU has become Legends. We'll probably see new ships, which will no doubt make their way into the game.

Maybe. Remember that squadrons aren't Armada's focus, and there likely won't be the same variety of 'elites' that there are in X-Wing. I doubt that FFG will do an 'Aces' pack, although they may do additional 'elites' of existing types in future squadron packs if they need to fill them out.

As Wes Janson said, FFG does reprint existing expansions, but they are occasionally out of print or hard to find from time to time while waiting to be reprinted. X-Wing and Armada aren't M:TG, and nothing goes permanently out of print.

No, they aren't available. If you've broken one, FFG customer service has rightly gotten a reputation for very quick turn-around times for replacements, but the only way to get new ones is to buy ships.

Undoubtedly FFG will be including the Lambda and the VT-49, although I don't think that they will be released with ships. There are still enough unreleased Imperial and Rebel fighters (Defender/Phantom, Z-95/E-Wing, plus X-Wing Wave 7) that there will most likely be new fighter packs with Armada Wave 3. I doubt that FFG will ever release fighters in the same packs as ships, outside the Core Set.

You're probably better off buying in bulk. I got a half ream (250 sheets) at Office Depot for about $15.00. I've gone through about half of it already, and nearly all of it has been used on the microhangars.
